- I'm Raxxanterax and I make Build Guides, Leveling Guides, Tier Lists and More for Diablo 4, Last Epoch, Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2. We updated the Last Epoch Loot Filter for Cycle 1.1 and wanted to share it ASAP, so everyone can start saving time and focusing on playing instead of sorting through items. the filters are saved in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Filters
I would LOVE to see the loot filter rules applied to inventory and stash spaces. We could hide items that do not match and have colored borders based on the filter. We could have a simple toggle to switch this on or off.
Dont we already kind of have that though? There is a search bar in your stash so you can literally just look up what you want and the game highlights it if you have it.
@waterywaffles it's not as good as highlighting per loot filter rules.
just throw everything on the floor and let the lootfilter filter the stuff you need, afterwards you can temporarily disable the filter to pick up the rest again

I just wanted to swing by this video and say thanks for making this and your last loot filter. I haven't used your loot filter in a minute, but it was instrumental in learning how the loot filter system works, as well as how to think about items at different points in the game, and I really appreciate that.
Great base, the only thing I would improve a bit is shatter bases. Since you actually need ALL of the affixes (to chaos unneeded ones), I change it to color all items with total sum of affixes > 12, and then gradually increase it as I level to 13, then to 14 etc.

One change I made for the levelling part of the filter: instead of showing all rares until lv55, I have a separate rule that shows rares with total affixes >= a certain number that I gradually increase. Early in the game (lv1-20) total affixes of 4 on rares are useful, but very quickly you are finding too many rares and it's a pain to sort them. If you filter for >= 6 then >= 8 and so on you'll keep the quantity under control while still upgrading slots over time.

Thanks man. I was looking for a good loot filter preset.
I just started playing again because of this new update and cycle. I'm loving that bosses are hard and trash mobs are not over tuned unlike in 1.0. Rewards are better too. The game feels good now but there are still some bugs they need to fix.

I do enjoy seeing other lootfilters just to see if they do something better than what I usually do.
However I think it is best to make your own filter yourself. It gets confusing and intimidating for a new player trying to figure the system out watching a premade filter.
I highly recommend every new player to do your own filter and experiment, you will very quickly realize it is not as daunting as it first seems.
I am only 600h in, and I play HC only. It is the first 10-20 minutes of a new character that you spend on the filter, and it lives on as you progress forward. It's part of the gameplay, don't skip it fellows. :)
While this is true and I have made filters myself so far, I tested this for about an hour of blasting and even this does work pretty well, if you are completely new, this isn't bad for a first character, it's very straightforward to tailor it to your needs. Either way i'm sure some people will find use in it

Was thinking about the WW =>14. IT should be 15. But I'm just nit picking at this point. Thank you. Will try this out.
Doubt anyone is going to answer but genuinely curious. This is supposed to be a loot filter any build can use to go from 1-100 and beyond, as long as you tailor build-specific rules.
But it filters ALL rares after level 55 now, 60 before - why? I used this filter last cycle on my first character, and I could count on one hand the number of exalts I found before level 85-ish that were actually usable. A lot of my gear at level 80 was still stuff I had found 40 levels earlier, back when I was still using a leveling build and the items weren't relevant. I can only imagine the filter was hiding items I actually could've used.
Maxroll, and other guides, always state that "T20" items are the goal for starting out, which means exalts are not "required" for end-game builds, just nice to have. I found maybe 1 or 2 T20 items before level 60? Then maybe a couple more before I gave up because my build couldn't even handle corruption 130, because I had 0 items. Bladedancer with Shadow Daggers, btw. Found lots of good idols, 0 good items. Rolled another character, used Maxroll's pre-configured loot filter, was still finding *very* usable rares up to level 90 and beyond. Still didn't have T20s in all slots, though, so rares were still worth looking at (just had to tweak the filters to be more strict).
So why disregard rares completely, when exalts are so incredibly rare to begin with, and usable ones even moreso? How are you supposed to find even half the items you need before empowered monos? How are you supposed to climb corruption when you have gear half the level of the mobs you're fighting? Just doesn't make sense, unless I'm the unluckiest player in the world? Every other loot filter I've ever found shows rares, some even magic items, and only cares about the affixes and their tiers - not the rarity.
Sure I could modify Raxx's loot filter to include rares in some of the categories, but the point is this is supposed to be a "universal" loot filter, one and done. Before I played the game, I had no idea what I was doing, so trusted that to be the case, and had a really awful starting impression of the game as a result. So did my friend - he was still using a level 4 wand at level 50 because of these weird exceptions.

Question on the loot filter: Lets take RECOLOR Specific Idols (Add Build Specific Idol affixes) for example. Edit the rule Select > Affixes (because they are set to 'None')
I Select Sentinel which selects all (51/51) BUT, all of them say in Red [ - unobtainable due to other conditions: Item Type ] What is that about???

I find that the default setup allows too many weapon types to be displayed which can fill up your inventory quickly and recommend adding a rule to hide unwanted weapon types. I am still playing where best to put it in the rule list though if you have any suggestions.

I wouldn't dismiss magic/blue items.
If you can find one with two stats you need it's much easier to craft from there instead of from a rare with two useless extra stats.

Thank goodness! Raxx or anyone pls answer: Where is the checkbox they added to the loot filter in 1.1? The checkbox makes loot show which rule made it show up on the ground to help hone your filters. I can't find it anywhere.

I am a new player so may have missed or not understood something, when set items are dropping using your new filter they aren't appearing on the loot table (at least the ones that have been dropping for me). Is that intended? Or should set items be working - i cant see set items mentioned at all in the loot filter. Thanks for your hard work and great content as well!!!
Each cycle I’m planning on doing only one class and doing all 3 masteries. Last season I did acolyte and made a filter just for that class to cover each build. I plan to combine the one here with my own for sentinel this cycle.
Would something like this be valuable to the community to share?

For the red ring drop , could it work to put the ring into the filter anr add rulz for all the affixes it give since its always the same affix ( correct me if im wrong) but with no value into the rulz so when a ring drop with all the 4th affixes it color RED?

Since you can't trade a unique item for the egg that has LP or WW, I think it's just always worth putting something in, see if you get a useful extra stat line?

BUT...... (I know everyone raves about LE and shits on D4, I own both and play both)... BUT the lag in LE is killing me..!
I killed an elite and 10sec's later I died by that elite, respawned and all the loot the elite dropped was on the ground, it took that long for all his hits to register and catch up to me..!!! I have to walk over the same pile of gold drops 3 times before its picked up, I click on loot - its still there, I click on loot - its still there, I click on loot - its still there, I click on loot - and finally its in my inv..!!
The loading screens.... OH MY GOD...! I can click on the next section or a dungeon and literally make a cup of coffee, come back to the study and its still loading..!!!
AND people complain about D4's 15-20 sec loads..!
Come on guys, lets call this stuff out and get them to do something about it, it seems like all the content creators are just turning a blind eye to it... WHY..? You all cried fowl that helltide chests took too long to open (5sec was a travesty), having to leave a dungeon , reset it, and go back in to kill the boss again (30sec's) was akin to sacrificing your first born...!
But you let LE devs get away with poor battle mechanics (half of the time I cant even see my projectile launch at the enemy or the enemies hits, I just see my life go down), Terrible lag in open world and ABYSMALLY long loading screens..!!!

On offline mode, I cannot get the game to remember the loot filter I set previously. I have to always point the game to the loot filter every time i launch the game fresh. Is anyone experiencing this? any suggestions?

At what lvl should you start your loot filer at? I'm about lvl 25 now on my cycle character.
right from the start - you can see behind raxx head one rule turns off after lvl 10, so there are rules for many brackets
Yea right when you start. The loot filter is designed to update itself as you level up. I would suggest watching Raxx's first loot filter guide.

I guess I am not smart enough for this filter. I can't get a clean copy to come up as in Rax's video, just a version with ads all over the place and everything I have tried just forces me to download more and more questionable apps. I wish in the vid, you showed the whole process as I would love to be able to use the filter but when I click on the pastebin, I definitely don't just get the code list like he does in vid.
I recommend adding "uBlock Origin" to your browser extensions... it's an adblock and you won't have to deal with that anymore. Also don't download questionable apps 😭the filter is just text to copy and paste into Last Epoch
you just copy everything in the paste bin and then in game shift f then paste clipboard contents you dont download anything
@@ausikc3530 Thanks. This is what I was doing but I cannot just copy the relevant data. It winds up also copying lil ads etc outside of the area when I did the shift click as described in vid. I DID have success manually dragging the cursor though.

Hello Rax, I'm sorry you couldnt make it in the race. Thank you for your hardwork on "TheFilter" (which I named in my game). But, nowadays I cant play LE anymore, it feels so wacky and unpolished I dont know. Whatever, have fun everyone. Waiting for S5 and 18th July news from you.
Somehow I feel you on this. I think LE, between it, PoE, and Diablo, is the least friendly to people who don't have hours to pour into it. I know a lot of people will say PoE takes that crown, but at least in PoE I can make up for lost time trading my way up to affording good gear. the grind in Last Epoch feels like it's mandatory to put hours and hours into just to find bases to craft on. We'll see though, I'm not far enough into this cycle to decide if trading has improved enough to make it feel decent.
Either you did not play d2 or youre just old and grew out of the real grinding of the arpg era. Back in the days, grinding was part of the fun with arpgs. I said it and i will say it again. D3 has babied the arpg genre.
My concerns are not for grinding to be honest. Just the skills, the graphics, the smoothness I can't describe but I can't play more than 30 min. It's just not fun. Clunky at best. I hope they get money deserved (I bought game and three to four cosmetics just to support them) then they might use money for graphic design. D4 is in a great spot in this sense. Just compare frozen effects 2 sorcerers.
@@MusaOsmanKaratosun I see what youre saying but the issue is that every boss in diablo feels like a mannequin and has very minimal effort compared to those in LE and POE. In some ways d4 is amazing on art and animation, in others it feels like they havent grown at all since D3. Every cycle sees graphical improvements and some clunk removed, so I'm sure LE will at least catch up.

You don’t need to have a loot filter at all
I know exactly what you mean, but it is an unpopular opinion in this crowd. If there are a hundreds of items dropping per Monolith (yes it is in the 100s with no filter) the solution is to have less items drop. Not to import a cascading rule set that requires a steamer to manage it. I wish LE did the D4 idea of just consolidating white/blue/yellow into affix shards. Then the filter would just be mostly highlighting uniques & exalted you care about, which would be very approachable.
