Fibromyalgia is one such disease. It is a disorder of the muscles, joints and fibrous tissues fibromyalgia back pain and fibromyalgia weight loss. People often describe it as a state of feeling perpetually sick. Fibromyalgia affects about 2 to 8 percent of the global population and can occur at any age, according to a 2014 study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It is more common in women than men.
Because its symptoms resemble common, everyday illnesses that could indicate just about anything, people tend not to view them as a sign of something more serious.
Here are 10 signs and symptoms of fibromyalgia you should know.
1. Persistent Widespread Body Pain
This is one of the main symptoms of fibromyalgia. People with fibromyalgia suffer a persistent body ache that is spread out around 18 specific parts of the body. These body parts may be sore when touched or lightly pressed upon.
Patients of fibromyalgia have chronic widespread pain and report about 11 to 18 tender body points, according to a 2007 study published in the Journal of Rheumatology. Although the intensity of pain varies from person to person, it is generally described as a shooting muscular pain.
2. Fatigue
Persistent fatigue is another key symptom of fibromyalgia and is the second most common one.
Fatigue is one of the most common complaints among fibromyalgia patients, but it has received less attention than chronic body pain, according to a 2013 study published in Arthritis Research and Therapy and fibromyalgia and muscle cramps fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome.
3. Sleep Disturbances
People with fibromyalgia have trouble falling asleep, and when they do, they have trouble maintaining sound sleep and wake up feeling unrefreshed and low on energy.
Non-restorative sleep, thus, is another classic symptom of fibromyalgia, and clinical sleep studies also reveal that fibromyalgia patients report erratic rhythms characteristic of disturbed sleep, according to a 2015 study published in Nature Reviews Rheumatology.
In fibromyalgia patients, fibromyalgia and sleep ,bearing the pain and non-restorative sleep combo is a Herculean trial. On the one hand, pain inhibits sleep, and on the other hand lack of sleep increases pain.
4. Headaches
Headaches are a common symptom, occurring in about half of patients of fibromyalgia, according to a 2005 study published in Clinical Rheumatology.
Out of 100 fibromyalgia patients, 76 percent reported headaches as a commonly occurring symptom, with 84 percent reporting intense headaches and 63 percent experiencing migraines, the study further notes.
Chronic migraines (acute pain on one side of the head, often accompanied by nausea and an aversion to bright lights and loud noise) and chronic tension-type (regular) headaches are commonly symptoms of fibromyalgia.
5. Depression & Anxiety
Fibromyalgia patients may have a hard time keeping their spirits high. In fact, patients of fibromyalgia are at a significantly higher risk of becoming depressed, and depressed people are at a higher risk of developing fibromyalgia, according to a 2015 study published in The Journal of Pain.
Depression in fibromyalgia patients poses a serious risk of intensifying other symptoms, as a depressed person will find it harder to cope with other struggles. It can seriously wreck one’s mental well-being and make the person feel hopeless and like a victim of the disease.
6. Sensory Overload
People suffering from fibromyalgia are often sensitive to cold temperatures, noise, bright light, and movement. In fact, this complex disorder is linked to multiple chemical sensitivities (being hypersensitive to certain chemicals and smells) fibromyalgia therapy.

Fibromyalgia SUX!!! I live in pain with extreme fatigue. Brain fog, IBS, etc.....it all sucks!!! Nothing helps the pain. CBD helps me relax, but, does nothing for pain. I also have sleep apnea, arthritis, T2 diabetes. So, my plate is full!! Hope you’re having a low pain no flare day.
I think Dr.Eric Berg's channel would help you, I was like you, multiple symptoms... after following his advice I am 90% cured.

OMG, the headaches! All day, every day......one of the worst symptoms for me
I’ve had severe fibromyalgia at all 18 points and chronic pain due to severe arthritis and degenerative disc disease . I feel like princess and the pea I can’t stand a wrinkle or crumb in my bed but in my case sleep better in the cold as my body is always hot. Along with many other diseases I’m albino so I come with numerous other ailments like diabetes, IBS, high blood pressure from my pain staying so high from the pain I have. Chronic rhinitis , asthma, dupytrens contracture, chemical and drug sensitivity’s, migraines,muscle spasms from skull base to tailbone and have 8 differently ailments in my back and have had two surgeries on my back with one I was almost left a quadriplegic I had three disc replaced with cadaver disc and rods and pins and if I’m in any car accident I will be left paralyzed. To top it off our government wants to control how much opioids we get but this doesn’t stop those on recreational medicines. Stretching all day and certain vitamins and diet works for me and yoga. As many chronic sin sufferers in the US the government calls us all liars. I’m so tired of it.

So sry listening to your story.I've had fibromyalgia since 2007 my whole body hurts .There r days I swell up can't 🚶.I also have lines disease which wasn't caught in time I also get skin rashes hives!

For about a year now, I've had pains throughout my body. First started out in my leg, like a stabbing/deep pain that would come and go, sometimes unbearable and sometimes barely noticeable. It was around my calve and shin area only in the one leg. Since then I've had the same type of pain in my hip, in my other leg, my feet, and sometimes in my arms and hands. I went to the doctor a few times, and even had xrays on my leg, but nothing showed up. I still have the pain just about everyday, sometimes it's not too bad, but other days it comes in waves where it hurts so bad it's all I can think about. I'm 16 by the way. Does this sound like Fibromyalgia, and if not, do you have any other ideas? (also, I recently found out my grandma has fibromyalgia, but not sure her pain is like mine.)
L4MB0 yes this is exactly what you have..I'm sure. I to have suffered with disease since 2012. It's a monster. I also started out with pain in one area.Then the pain spread throughout my entire my body. Nothing will ever show up In your labs, x-rays. Most docs dnt know how to treat this illness. Praying for you my fellow warrior. My advice to is..take it one day at a time. N never give up..HOPE!
You might want to go to a doctor that specializes in Lyme Disease and get evaluated. The symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease are very similar. Including the widespread pain, chronic fatigue and trouble sleeping. Look up a ILADS doctor. I was initially diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but then saw a Lyme Disease specialist and it ended up being that I had Lyme Disease.
Omg i was diagnosed 3 days ago after suffering for about 5 years. But Feb 2018 was where my life changed it started with neuropathy in my feet and worked its way up. I managed to gain tons of weight and bcm a person I don’t recognise. Its still difficult for my family and friends to understand. My husband feels hopeless when i cry for hours, my kids look at me with sympathy. Yes its a monster and its forever 😢😢😢

I have to add that now there are blood tests to see if you’ve been exposed to mold, Lyme, any types of infections, etc. to see what’s causing the pain. There IS a cause! I just found all this out, and I’m 64.
As a child, I had chronic strep throat and leg aches that never went away, diagnosed as growing pains. But at age 64, 4’ 9”, and 95 lbs., it obviously wasn’t growing pains! Lol! Watch another video from a doctor in Florida who talks about a woman who had been so miserable, she couldn’t function. He did some testing on her, and she had 3 viruses and a blood issue she had been fighting. If I find it, I’ll tell you who it is. I just saw it yesterday, but it’s a short video with a doctor in the picture.
I hurt all the time. I'm still not sure if it's fibromayalgia. Went to a doctor for my feet. They took x rays. I really thought I had just messed something up bc he thought I needed surgery. But retracted when xrays came back. Now he thinks I have this. I love working out but I pay for it later. It seems to just be in my feet, ankles, top of feet, toes, hands and wrist. I don't have pain anywhere else. My arms feel tight but not hurt and neither does my back. I sleep well and no IBS.

It says 6 symptoms and she gives 6 symptoms but when she starts the video she says 10 symptoms.
I say she because it sounds like a womans voice but it also sounds like a computer generated voice. Why use a computer voice and not a real person to make this video?
Also it did not describe the brain fog or the burning neck pain or the costocondritis pain in the chest or the irritable bowel symptoms that come with fibromyalgia in about 60% of cases
