Beautiful! 500hp is the magic number for Evo's and STi's in my opinion! 800+hp Evo's need 280 cams to make the engine rev to 9000 since that huge turbo wont make boost until 4500-5000rpm, they also need a heavy clutch that will make driving in traffic nearly impossible and it takes away from the nature of the car. With 500hp, you can have an evil car with throttle response and one hell of a performer! Once people go for crazy hp numbers they get discouraged because the car cant go down the street without breaking something. What good is a car that doesnt go? Keep it "modest" and classy and these import cars will last for a long time :).
I'm buying my first evo next week. I've dreamed of this car since I first saw it on the streets and when Tokyo drift came out lol. Thanks for motivating me even more into getting one of these beasts.

Hi mate. Just a quick question. a lot of people block off the diverter valve to get the flutter sound... or vent it to atmosphere ... why did you choose to recirculate. does it offer any benefits for performance or reliability? thanks.
its far more reliable to recirculate the BOV if you are running stock MAF system. VTA (vent to atmosphere) will mess up the system as there will be air loss and ECU will freak out if you are not running Speed density (MAP) setup

Evos are not ment to run VTA . Your MAF will be out of wack if you do
If you want to Vent to atmosphere, you can convert to Speed density with the tephra patch that can be found on Evolutionm.net
