Curently experiencing the same problem with my Familia Protege 2006. Overdrive (hold) will switch off after about 10-15km after turning off the ignition and turning it on again. Once tried to drive it at 120km/hr and it struggle to reach the speed and could not go beyond.
Having the same issue. Just did engine swap in mine everything is brand new except the transmission. First it was blinking o/d off (after a couple times driving it) and then turned the car off. Turned it back on and light was gone but still shifted the same. I bought solenoids to see if that fixes anything.
@@miguelzambrana6386 on my car it ended up being the range sensor that tells if its in park or drive, but just yesterday they rearended me. rip to my 01 protege
@@ericsanchez2121 dang rip was your transmission slipping? I go into drive and it wont go into gear and it also has a hard gear shifts while driving so many different things it could be its so frustrating
I have the same car and year it does the same thing. I've talked to several mechanics and they all seem to come to the same conclusion that it could be a solenoid problem they say those cars suffer from that. I still have to take it in and have it checked but that's what I've found out so far. did you ever get it fixed?

I have a 1999 protege with the same problem, were you able to solve it?
My 01 Mazda 626 es od light is flashing after I drive a few miles, and it hard shifts into 2nd. But there's no code for the transmission
It was the Range Sensor?

you have a problem with the switch button on the gear shift, the spring inside of that mechanism is stuck or wear down...

Have you gotten yours fixed yet? Mine went out last week and i only have 1st and 2nd now
My car is dragging when I try to drive the speed limit then it jerking and catches speed again. I can feel it under my breaks

Question. M 2002 is slipping in 3 and 4. I can drive in 2 to go over 40 but not in 3 and 4 gear.
