I worked as a professional in Management meeting with the highest levels of the Military ranks. How one dresses is an outward expression of respect and communication. Can I say, “we can agree to disagree?”

There is a big difference in being dressed for a party and for a host interviewing one of the most powerful leader of the world AND THAT TOO on a public platform where you are directly exposed to hundreds of eager guests, enthusiastic to watch a meaningful interview and not to be distracted by other things. Leave the president the house is fully packed and a lot of the audience can get distracted if proper dress codes are not followed.
Come on even corporate houses in india have strict formal dress codes even if they are stuck to their own desktops.

I totally agree. I enjoy Gravitas very much but they have this one wrong. The interviewer was inappropriately dressed. I'm no prude but come on. She was not dressed in the appropriate professional attire required for this serious interview.

Can one not have an interview as a journalist without being dressed like for a cocktail-party ? I think the only country that does this well is Japan where if you go to the store to get job clothes you have maybe three colors white black and navy if you're outgoing lol and ladies can chose between formal skirt covering knees or formal pants that's the dress code.
