Everytime I watch your videos I get more and more ok with letting go of being in the biggest city for Street Photography. As I get older I will get more into landscapes and being in nature. I think it has a lot of soul too and I want to challenge myself. Thanks for a great video!
Slowing down can always be a bit daunting at first, but there's few moments I've found more fulfilling then being in a wide open space by myself with a camera.
Great stuff. I have to remind myself that landscape photography is like the stock market. Time in it > timing it. Thanks for the reminder that the most important part is showing up.
Love it. That closeup of the river was my fave. I've also noticed recently I've had a much harder time getting good results with NLP when there wasn't a ton of light. Very frustrating.
I enjoy these types of videos from you so much. I stopped watching this one on my iPad as soon as I saw the subject, and waited until now that I'm home to watch on the big OLED TV. Your video production is so good as well. Really beautiful photos from out there as well!
This was cool to see. I just moved to Olympia from Europe. I have been shooting B&W film on vintage cameras for years all over the world and I was not sure what kind of photography I could get here as I am not much of a landscape photographer but I may just have to delve into it now seeing how awesome the landscape is in the PNW. I am thinking I may need to trek to these locations with my voigtlander besa II. i think that camera would be great for this scenery.
That’s a great observation, at the end where you said, it’s just kinda about just getting out and being there. My friend and I were out at Joshua tree and I said, the compositions are already there, it’s just up to us to be there and see them ..
Great video as always and beautiful captures! How do you get those clips where you’re zoomed into your photo and moving around to show the detail? I want to show the detail in my photos like that.
Wonderful photos of an amazing place! I had the opportunity to be at Mt Rainier last July. A truly majestic peak, and then there are the spectacular waterfalls, rivers and lakes.
For high dynamic range scenes make sure you bracket while home scanning (stack it) then convert. Sometimes Negative Lab makes mistakes in judging the film density. PS love the channel 🫡🤙🏻
Nice!! I just got my Mamiya n 43mm too, plus the polarizing filter. Maybe too wide for good polarization, but we'll see. Also shooting the 65mm and 80mm, but I still want that 50mm and 150mm... great inspo cause I just gotta get out there bro
I caught an afternoon and evening on Mt. Rainier last summer. Truly wonderful place to go shoot. BTW your Video looks exceptional for a Photo UA-camr. Great color and sharpness. BM or Sony?
Fantastic photos! I’m so envious of the picturesque landscapes you have access to. Btw, are you on Cara? I don’t use IG much anymore and I’d love to follow as many of the people I follow on IG, on Cara instead.
The lab scan look better and more realistic than the home scan which looks somewhat fake( blue hour ain't as bright as that, no greens at blue hour etc..). I guess you're using the built-in light meter in the mamiya 7ii, it becomes interesting if you skip that meter and use a handheld light meter or guess the light reading and keep 'em fingers cross for the result..
You might do better for night images with camera scanning if you bracket and then make an HDR before converting. I haven't tried this myself for night shots, but it might be worth a shot.
I’d offer to help you film your videos, but in reality I need a videographer as well 😆. It’s bloody difficult to take photos and make videos at the same time (especially when time is not on your side).
I have to ask as a travel blogger. Did you have to get a permit to make a video in the National Park? I’ve heard that is a thing now which is ridiculous
@@BraeHunziker I’ve been told that being monetized on UA-cam is considered commercial. I’ve been hesitant to make another video for fear of being fined but at the same time I’m sure it’s just a scare tactic. Ridiculous law anyway if you ask me.
@@BraeHunziker As of March 2023, federal law requires a permit for any commercial filming in U.S. National Parks, including videos that are posted on UA-cam and generate revenue. This applies to individuals and small groups, regardless of the amount of equipment used

Well said!
Couldn’t agree with you more…giving in to being lethargic is a killer. Creatively, emotionally, and physically! The most simple can be SO cathartic.
Exactly!
Always enjoy your videos. The first & last 65mm images were great
Thank you 🙏🏼

Thanks so much, Bob! Hard to have a bad time in a place like Mount Rainier National Park! Cheers.

Definitely one of the best places in the U.S. when it comes to great scenery!
Very very nice very. Thank you

Thanks for watching, Richard!

I think i needed that philosophy session at the end of the video Haha Thank you for sharing!

Loved this one. Just like old times. My fav photo was at 10:35. Something about that AI processing on the iPhone just sings. Muah.
hahaha can't beat some sweet sweet AI 😌

Keep getting out there lad!

This is so good dude, love seeing your vids pop up in my feed :)

Thanks for the tip!! Will be trying this
Looks great , I'm heading back to Tacoma soon and looking forward to seeing the difference from when I was there in Feb/Mar earlier this year.
You're coming at the right time. These next few months are when the pnw really shines!
That's great, keep the videos coming they're a great watch!
Good to see a video today, always brings me inspiration, just recently got my first pentax 67, thank you bro. Much love & respect
Love to hear it! The Pentax is such a great camera, hope you enjoy shooting it!
Love your videos. Lovely photography!
Appreciate it! :)
Very good photography and wonderfully filmed
I appreciate that. Thank you!
Love the video, last time I was on the mountain, total cloud cover 😬
Dang! That's always a bit of a bummer :/
What hiking shoes are those? I like them!
Great video, great shots. Mamiya 7 envy is strong. Cheers!
Solomon Quest 3 goretex. They don't make this version anymore, they have the Quest 4 now which is also very good
LETS GOOOO!
🤠
Closing thoughts were on point, buddy. Trying to have a similar philosophy this summer. Maybe I’ll run into you out there 🤘
Thanks man. We should try to get together for a hike or something!
@@BraeHunziker I’d be up for that!
maybe NLP thought the moon is dust spot? does NLP have dust spot removal function like flat bed scanner?
Yeah that's almost what it seems like haha. I don't think NLP has this feature though.
Your videos is allway good to have some snacks and good drinks to. 😍
Are you goona try the new Pentax 17?
haha love it. And no I can't even really get myself to shoot 35mm anymore, half frame has never been super appealing to me. Cheers!
awesome video man hoping to see some more PNW adventures on your channel this summer
They will be coming!!
Man..I love your videos !
Thank you!
These are bangers frfr🥾

Just picked up a polarizing filter. Interested to use it with the 43mm and see what happens! Keen to try the 150mm at some point as well!

Thank you! Very lucky here in the northwest.
And I am not familiar with Cara. I will have to look into it!
I was in the HOH Rainforest with my Nikon F3 today. Small rain today but nice. Well I live near here so nothing new :)
Need to get out to the HOH rainforest this summer. Hope you got some good shots :)

11:42 that "off into Neverland" was so Nick Carver coded 😂
😂
home scan was SO much better than the lab scan but its extremely unfortunate that it just wiped the entire moon out of the frame 😆
Right? So weird how that happens lol
