Its amazing how far we've come technology wise. Back in the Sega Gamecube days we could never dream of having someone like el baño. I'm so proud of what humanity has been able to do
I ran an independent, used music, movies, and games store when RE4 originally came out. We had the playable demo on display for about a month before the game dropped. People would stop in their tracks and watch/play this opening town section for HOURS. Crowds of strangers would gather to watch. People would scream and jump and cheer. Complete strangers became bonded over their shared marvel about the experience. I’d never seen anything like it.

As far as escort missions go, I thought OG was fine unless they changed things for the steam port. You could hide her in some parts, they had her following really close, ducking when you aimed near her, she drives that truck that time. The one part that bothered me was when she runs straight into that one trap for plot convenience but everybody made it sound like she'd fully ruin the game. I think they just weren't using the right strategies

At the beginning she starts of by jumping out of the window with Leon . Listens to his orders . Got embarrased after introducing herself to Luis and later wanted to help him find the medicin which could have prevented his death because she can notice enemies from behind even during gameplay . Becomes more calm and used to the environment , even jumps down by herself at the wrecking ball section and so on . It's kinda like Leon gave her the right push .
El Banyo is the greatest final boss of all time, it is truly a unique experience having to sneak by the final boss while he is chilling in the bathroom.
The ability to make a polished horror game seeming like a light-hearted comedy with broken mechanics is truly masterful. Dunky is the kind of kids that draw a Mona-Lisa on his maths homework. You just don't know what to do with his genius.

I can’t tell you how many times I died to El Bano… The attack where he blows you up along with the toilet was just too hard to parry. I also missed the book in the beginning that said his weakness is not being able to go to the top of the stairs 😔
This game is absolutely amazing. I played the original to death but even then this game had me making shrieking sounds whenever something creepy or life threatening came close.

This game has a lot of attention to detail and quality of life changes. They took a lot of the designs and seem to have put a lot of detail into the enemies. Sure, I can agree they messed up a bit with adding more scare elements and with less action, leading to character personalities being tinkered with. This game is well put together and basically improves on all of the early game environment (I will say the later game falls a bit on the ok side). If removing one boss is what makes the reason this game is a soulless demake, then fine, but I seriously dont think it added much to the plot in the first place. tldr, if you dont like this game, then thats fine. The original will always be there. But saying this is a soulless demake is just not right.
Welp, congrats, you made me quite literally laugh out loud at work. This was so well done and since I just finished the game, it was a near identical experience with all the deaths at the stand off at the house, the catapult BS, and missing with the golden egg etc.
I did too, her AI is actually not bad you just gonna have to get used too like in catapult section all you really need is to sniping the red barrel around catapult then you good to good & wait for the best timing to move one to other catapult
I imagine it's very frustrating for players, but Ashley getting repeatedly annihilated by that flaming catapult is just so wonderful. They knew what they were doing.

Im glad they developed more of the pig's character in this game vs the orignial, really adds a lot of depth seeing him grow throughout the story.

This game is absolutely amazing. I played the original to death but even then this game had me making shrieking sounds whenever something creepy or life threatening came close.

@@MichaelDoesLife An opinion is an opinion. But I can't even wrap my head around the idea that they threw this game out with no care. This game has a lot of attention to detail and quality of life changes. They took a lot of the designs and seem to have put a lot of detail into the enemies. Sure, I can agree they messed up a bit with adding more scare elements and with less action, leading to character personalities being tinkered with. This game is well put together and basically improves on all of the early game environment (I will say the later game falls a bit on the ok side). If removing one boss is what makes the reason this game is a soulless demake, then fine, but I seriously dont think it added much to the plot in the first place.
tldr, if you dont like this game, then thats fine. The original will always be there. But saying this is a soulless demake is just not right.

Welp, congrats, you made me quite literally laugh out loud at work. This was so well done and since I just finished the game, it was a near identical experience with all the deaths at the stand off at the house, the catapult BS, and missing with the golden egg etc.

I imagine it's very frustrating for players, but Ashley getting repeatedly annihilated by that flaming catapult is just so wonderful. They knew what they were doing.
