VorpalTiger except this snake is like the 4th or 5th main missions in the game and by that time I would be surprised if you have good gears that compliment your builds that deals ton of damage. This is definitely a pretty difficult boss for early game nioh where gear options are still limited.

Speed running this game can be really easy tho, cause once you are in ng+ and above, your gear/stats will be so much better and if you choose to go back and run missons on ng difficulty (which is an option in game), you are almost invincible. But speed running from a fresh save needs a lot of skill and luck too I think, cause a lot of rng are in this game. Edit: grammar
I have watched every video of dunkey at least three times and just now I see the section after the sponsor. After all these years still new content to discover.
This game is actually extremely fun once you make proper use of skills and ki pulses. It's a Team Ninja game, at its core. You can absolutely destroy your enemies
You forgot to put a comma it's actually "blind, folded, and using a Wii steering wheel" due to him being both completely blind and due to a birth defect his back is folded to the point he rests his head on his own ass.
i'm no veteran but based on my experience, here are some of my tips: 1. learn your enemies' movement patterns. Most of them are repetitive. learn them and you can easily counter them without getting damaged. The same goes for bosses. 2. Don't use too many elixirs in boss fights. save them for your normal journeys. try to fight bosses without getting hit by referring to point No. 1 3. Find ALL kodamas, especially the healer kodamas (this depends on your priority, i like the healer kodamas). they will come in incredibly handy. Equip an accessory with the Kodama Sensor feature. It makes finding them a lot easier. 4. Want more elixirs? refer to point No. 3 and receive the healer blessings. If you have obtained the Kodama Bowl, equip that to further increase elixir drops from enemies. you will end up having hundreds of elixirs, no joke. provided you follow point No. 1. Kodama Bowl can be used to enhance other blessings too. If you feel you look stupid wearing a bowl, just refashion it or turn off helmet from the settings. looks neater. 5. You have a dojo with free training. use it to get familiar with your weapons. There is no one size fits all. Some weapons are long range (not good in tight spaces), some weapons are heavy and slow but pack a punch, some weapons are light and fast but dont deliver as much damage, some weapons work well with large enemies and some work otherwise. take your time to get familiar with your weapons so you know how they handle different types of enemies. 6. Stance. Utilize ALL the stances. Not all at once, but depending on the situation. Low stance is good for dodging in the Dark Realm to preserve Ki and recovery or if you are just low in Ki in any situation. High stance to deliver heavy blows once in a while when there is a good window and mid stance provides a fundamental balance between offense and defense. Don't just stick to one stance. your weapons behave differently with each stance, learn them. Master switching stances, and you can beat your enemies faster. Don't think that high stance is slow and Ki consuming and what not. Sometimes, a single blow from a specific weapon can one-shot your enemies. saves you time. 7. Take advantage of Onmyo Magic. They provide great buffs for tough enemies and can be refilled at shrines. (same goes for Ninjutsu, though i rarely use them for my play style) 8. Be aware of your surroundings when exploring. enemies often lurk around places that are hard to see like in bushes and on the ceiling. don't rush through a level or you might get ambushed by 2 or more enemies at once. incorporate stealth in your gameplay. use your arrows and guns and backstabs or even some catwalking ninjutsu or Sneak Thief. it makes it easier to find your next shrine and reach bosses without much hassle. unless of course if you are masochistic and love to get your ass whooped by a group of enemies. That's fine too. 9. Burst Counters. For Enenra, I suggest using a Feral or Phantom counter. Brute counters are strong but they are slow. you simply can't use the Brute counters on all enemies because some of them have lightning fast attacks that will hit you first during your burst counter build-up (for brute). use Feral or Phantom for fast enemies. Time them well, though. How do you know when to hit the button? refer to point No.1 10. If a particular level feels very hard, go ahead and grind on lower levels so you can level up. if you don't have strong weapons, just carry on with the main missions to unlock more exotic weapons then you can visit the old side-missions to obliterate your enemies. You can receive the equipment drop rate blessings from the Kodamas and to further increase your chance of receiving rare weapons, use the Luckbringer Onmy Magic. I suggest you clear an area of all enemies first, remember the locations of all the treasure chests, cast the spell and run like heck to all the chests to make good use of it before it runs out. Yes it is time consuming but it could be worthwhile. 11. learn skills that only you find useful. you don't have to learn everything in the skill tree. Once you have obtained a new skill, refer to point No. 5. 12. obtain the backstab skill (later in the game) and the skill that gives you the Ki Pulse everytime you dodge (in ALL stances). saves you the time of pressing R1 and it works very well to disperse the yokai realm. Don't give your yokai enemies the chance to bask in their own realm. 13. If any of you are struggling with the large snake boss, don't worry. I died 68 times but I discovered a method that can be very easy. First of all, cut off only ONE arm. either his left or right arm. dont cut off both his arms before he summons the dark realm. if you do, they will simply grow back and drop in the dark realm so you will be back to square one. if you cut off only one arm, then that arm won't grow back when he summons the dark realm. the other arm will drop off in the dark realm. so once you cut off one of his arms and almost deplete his Ki, stay between a close to moderate range to him. because when he summons the dark realm and if you are close enough, you can easily move in and kill that one little snake, then your battle with the large snake will be a one-to-one instead of having to deal with those pesky little snakes every time. I find it best to use a large weapon like the Switchglave, Odachi or Axes. Using strong attacks in the high stance seems to get the best hits to his arm. Remember, once you cut off one of his arms, you can switch to other stances or weapons of your choice but avoid cutting off the other arm until the Dark Realm. Repeat this process and you will get an easy win. Also, you don't have to keep dodging everything. if you can't dodge, just block. Even if you are stunned, you will have enough time to recover. For this boss, I suggest using a Feral spirit guardian as it can help you avoid getting grabbed if you get too close. 14. If you ever run out of Ki or get cornered, the Feral burst counter can get you out of some sticky situations. You can use it when you are stunned (not paralyzed, then you can’t do shit) due to out of Ki or you are backed into a corner and can't dodge anywhere but forward. 15. I rarely use consumable items in Nioh due to the fear of repeatedly dying and wasting those finite resources, but I find the Sacred Water to be super useful in the dark realm. It turbo-charges your Ki recovery speed. This can be useful in the fight with Saito Yoshitatsu or other relentless enemies in the dark realm. Speaking of Saito, here’s another tip for this fight. Her/his yokai form may look intimidating but fear not as they take MASSIVE Ki damage even with light attacks. You can snap them out of the yokai form with just a few hits, then go in for a grapple. 16. If you have no idea what to do with your hundreds of weapons and armors in your item, I can almost guarantee you will never even use the uncommon or below items. Filter them, check uncommon and below and disassemble them at the blacksmith. If you have high-quality materials, you can forge some cool weapons or armor. Materials normally don’t go to waste. You can also forge plenty of Umbracites so you have lots of chances to temper your weapons’ effects. Don’t worry too much about gold. You’ll get plenty enough by defeating enemies. You don’t lose gold when you die. Only amrita. 17. If you feel you keep dying easily after 1 or 2 hits, check your armor. You could be using outdated armor for that level. For my playstyle, I prefer using light armor because it makes me agile and dodging is much more reliable and easier than heavy armor but I can get hurt badly if I get hit. As I said, this is my preferred playstyle. I prefer dodging than blocking. If you wanna use heavy armor, please go ahead but don’t disregard the consequences. Heavy armor gives you a slight bolster but reduces your movement and Ki recovery. Personally though, I don’t find the increased defense very useful. This is Nioh, not God of War. You can still die easily if you make the wrong move or make not enough moves. So for me, light armor is the way to go. Casting the Steel Talisman for increased defense is a good alternative. 18. Spirit stones. What to do with them? You can use them to gain more Amrita to level up OR you can save them instead so you can use them to charge your Amrita gauge so you can transform into your yokai form more easily instead of collecting Amrita here and there. This is especially useful in boss fights where you can transform into yokai more than once. 19. FISTS ARE FREAKIN AWESOME!
The enemies hit harder most definitely, and the bosses have a great deal of HP. There is a slight clunkiness to controlling the character, when trying to dodge, switch stance, and perform other actions together. A lot of hand coordination in this game, more than Dark Souls. The environment in Dark Souls however, is far more deadly.

Truth be told, there is no one hit from normal hits or even grab moves, when you are out of Ki (winded stun) and you suffer a hit, its double dmg, and since you can activate yokai moves like the the monkey jump or yokai shift (the demon form) to avoid em, getting "one shotted" is your own fault, also there is a ninjutsu every character can get regardless of build that allows for extra lifes (up to 5 extra) during a boss, the game has MANY tools to overcome its challenges and no bullshit "trap moments" or "archer bridges" like in Souls

They're probably going to use a cheese build that OHKOs everything. I'd make one of those and use it for speed running tbh.
Speed running this game can be really easy tho, cause once you are in ng+ and above, your gear/stats will be so much better and if you choose to go back and run missons on ng difficulty (which is an option in game), you are almost invincible. But speed running from a fresh save needs a lot of skill and luck too I think, cause a lot of rng are in this game.

i'm no veteran but based on my experience, here are some of my tips:
1. learn your enemies' movement patterns. Most of them are repetitive. learn them and you can easily counter them without getting damaged. The same goes for bosses.
2. Don't use too many elixirs in boss fights. save them for your normal journeys. try to fight bosses without getting hit by referring to point No. 1
(same goes for Ninjutsu, though i rarely use them for my play style)
How do you know when to hit the button? refer to point No.1
I was waiting for him to say, "Thank you, Dark Souls."
Same
Are these nioh games harder than dark souls?
Why are people liking the reply but not answering the question
The enemies hit harder most definitely, and the bosses have a great deal of HP. There is a slight clunkiness to controlling the character, when trying to dodge, switch stance, and perform other actions together. A lot of hand coordination in this game, more than Dark Souls.
The environment in Dark Souls however, is far more deadly.
Moth Clements the bosses are harder but the levels are easier
