Did you know I have a "Buy Me A Coffee" page buymeacoffee.com/countryhousegent Perfect for when you'd like to contribute to the channel, or simply want to buy me a coffee/pork pie/beer/lamb vindaloo (delete where applicable). Cheers,
Your shows are inspiring to me and my family. My kids are getting into film because of what you have done from car repairs to camping. You bring a peace into my family because you are you. Thank you for giving us something real other than another damn superhero or politically motivated movie or tv show! Please keep making your videos. My family and I appreciate the time you take to make them!
Very much agreed. My wife and I love Kevin's videos. They bring something calming to an otherwise hectic life. We also got a recipe from one of his videos about a year ago that has become a family favorite. Sweet Chili Pork fried Rice. It's delicious! It's requested when family comes to town. I think it'll be passed down through the generations it's loved so much.
You are so very kind Wendy, thank you. I'm delighted you enjoyed the Lake District 'trilogy' - a fun, tongue in cheek change from the canal travel series and one of my favourite things I've made. 😊
Love ya Kev and have been following for years now. It's good to remember that charcoal is forever, so for no traces break up the fire pit and bury the charcoal. Cheers.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, thanks for posting Kev these last few vlogs of yours have been great and eagerly anticipated by me and probably many others. So please keep up the great vlogs hiking , biking or boating what ever I'll be waiting 👍👍
Loved all three episodes of your camping adventure. Great drone footage and editing. The credits at the end and blooper reel had me in stitches. Great work Kevin !
Just watched these 3 videos properly as only discovered CHG earlier this year…..better late than never. Just brilliant entertainment and cleverly done! Had me in absolute stitches, such a funny guy! Would love to see more of the same! 😁
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You Sir are one crazy man out in a world full of wonder. Alone in a barren land, filled with an abundance of wild life and Mosquitoes that bite the hell out of you. With a back pack, a tent, and as much beer as you can carry, with enough food to last a week. Bloody fantastic that were Kevin. Loved it to bits. Now time to get back to doing some real life activities. 🤣 keep well and keep safe. 👍
LOL 😂 Really cracked me up at the end! From the moment you high tailed it from the left behind grill, through the outtakes, I laughed myself to harm. But it's good to hurt that way. Thanks!
Awesome sunset, thanks for sharing it along with all the dry humor. I was halfway expecting a sheriff to jump out of the woods and fine you for leaving a trace 😁
Another epic production! My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. That meal, sausage and beans with beer, tough! But really very good these three vids. Thanks.
On my lunch hour while teleworking, thank you so much for this lovely to watch and listen to, fun to chuckle along with, and a right nice break from reality!
Hi Kevin soooo many people could learn so much from you every time I take a dog walk down the tow path and forests around Trowbridge theirs always lots of rubbish left behind some people have no respect
Yessss! Someone finally said it, cooking over a campfire IS a complete pain in the ass, and back and knees, and eyes and lungs. Nothing romantic about it. Loved the vlogs.
Finally catching up with the Country House Gent… love, love, LOVED the credits (I knew it was a magical backpack), and the outtakes were PURE GOLD! As always, a great pleasure. Thank you so much!
Thank you Wendy. It's always rewarding to hear that these videos have been enjoyed and appreciated. A lot of work to make but some of my favourite videos.
Very very true, Colin. In hindsight, there's a few things I should've done. For one, a disclaimer at the start of each part saying "This video is intended as entertainment, not a 'How To' manual".
Absolutely love these style of videos Kevin, don’t get me wrong, I love your Narrowboat videos but these are a fantastic change of pace. I’d love to see more please.
Shades of Blazing Saddles ! Another great escapade. Isn't it nice to be out in the peace and quiet, with only your sausage sizzling to break the silence ! Another Great Vlog Kevin, May you eventually find that drainage ditch, turn North, and hug that gnarly old Yew tree, Stay safe, and travel well Pardner ! Stu xx
Another glorious sunset. Never tried a Cumberland sausage, but yours with the beans looked tasty. Loved the credits at the end and all the retakes with the ditch and yew tree. Had a good laugh. Thanks Kevin. Looking forward to your next excursion.
Third installment. Much much better. All round excellence. Music, titling and of course listening to you just being yourself. This is what you call entertainment. Keep on being yourself. Third installment was definitely a case of leaving the best until last. Nice one kev. Sean.
Kevin, your outtakes were funny and bring insight to your sense of humor. You could probably edit some of your Aslan videos with outtakes from those various adventures and create an episode. BBC and Sky should give you your own show... that would be fantastic.
Mind = blown! You have MAD skills! LOL. But I wanted to see you fly out on your drone. You are definitely the Mary Poppins of the British isles. ~Leilani
I should have added "stationary in relation to the earth". Obviously our solar system is moving through the milky way and in turn, our galaxy through the universe - but that's a bit of a mouthful for a campfire chat. 😎🙂
I just subscribed and I will watch commercials so 10 cents American for every commercial. You won’t get rich but it’s better than getting poked in the eye with a stick.
Loved the outtakes, so funny. You may have “biting” ants in the UK, but here in Texas we have FIRE ants, very aptly named. As a nurse I couldn’t help but think the sausage really looked like a length of intestine. LOL
I couldn't sleep last night (nothing new there) and watched the video at 4.10am ... thank you, you have no idea how it got me through another Monday morning.
Another great video. It makes me miss camping in the bush. So peaceful and quiet. Great job Mate. And yes...cooking over a campfire can be a royal pain in the ass!
Another great episode, thank you! I camped a lot when I was young and cooked on the fire from time to time....good memories. Now my idea of camping is a nice RV or a low budget hotel...lol You should have pulled a wheel barrow out of the magic backpack to haul the bricks and stones back! 😂
Brilliant Kevin. Looked like a delicious campfire dinner. Scenery was spectacular. Loved the ending. The outtakes show how difficult it is to get it right when you’ve got something specific you want to say. Happens to me all the time😄. Take care. Nick
Sure is Nick. From the outside, we appear to be a sea of calm professional competence. But inside we're a bubbling saucepan of vegetable broth, with custard. Well, some of us at least. 🤭🥴
Kevin, enjoyed your camping trilogy. Remind me of myself sometimes, I love camping with fire, nobody around and a couple beers. I did try to yell at screen dude your beer is listing! Glad to see you didn’t lose to much. Fantastic weather , glad for for you. Great parting shot of the trees, love the music. Looking forward to your next adventure. Cheers from Ak.
Who needs a spatula? As long as you have 2 axes and plenty of beer- haha! Entertaining watching you toasting your meal whilst slowly getting toasted yourself. Ah well, you’re camping. Enjoy!
If your on water with Aslan you must say “Red sky at night sailor’s delight, red sky in the morning sailor’s warning”😉 What a peaceful camp spot with an amazing sunset 👍
Leave no trace in nature for sure We like to drink real ale some more Cook your gruel You ain't no fool What a place Don't fall on your face Enjoy the outdoors and chill A place to sit on the hill And contemplate the black sheep And later a good sleep Country house Gent A life well spent
Just back from a walking trip along the Norfolk coast myself. Fabulous weather and going it alone is good for the soul sometimes. I love Cumberland sausage - my favourite. Thanks for sharing (loved the credits) you’re so funny. Looking forward to seeing what you get up next x

Nice trilogy. Really enjoyed The fellowship of the Cumberland Ring 👍
And Great presentation of food....beans in the sausage..lol. love it
Beans & Sausages, the campfire, Western Spaghetti, the cowboy hat, but spared the blazing saddles effluvium!
Ha, the effluvium came a little later. 🤭
Loved the ending credits….and that spaghetti western music…good humor on this one
Awesome trilogy !!!!!!!!
Anxiously awaiting the next adventures !!!!!
I love hearing you say "Y'all". I watch you from Texas and it warms my little heart!
Nice 🙂
Brilliant, thank you so much🙏🕊✝️🙏🇨🇦
Love the bloppers!!! So good. Thanks CHG!!
Thank you for the GREAT fun.
You are so very kind Wendy, thank you. I'm delighted you enjoyed the Lake District 'trilogy' - a fun, tongue in cheek change from the canal travel series and one of my favourite things I've made. 😊
That was great! I think we're all in need of :
some Fearsome Drainage Ditch merch!
Loved it! Outtakes were a hoot. You covered, I mean conquered it!
🌟🤣👍👏🤣🍻 just brilliant 👏👏🌟😄 Joan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hmmm, sausage, beans and beer and then closed up in a tent. A couple of pickled eggs would have completed the closed tent challenge. Ha! Good times.
It's a form of natural tent heating, Dennis. 🤭😳
Love ya Kev and have been following for years now. It's good to remember that charcoal is forever, so for no traces break up the fire pit and bury the charcoal. Cheers.
Thank you mate. Loved every minute of it. Hope you get a chance to do it again at some point.
Very encouraging to hear that. More in the pipeline. Cheers
Wow !! A beer/food cooler backpack , I want one !! Hollywood , here I come ..
Nice…! Thanks for sharing.
Very good Kevin! I enjoyed this little trilogy. Sausage, beer and beans! It's a good thing you were camping by yourself!
Is he really by himself, whenever is see him cooking seems like he makes enough for 3.hehe.
After that meal, he might be disturbing the peace and tranquility of the nature reserve. I know I would.
Loved the trilogy! Keep up the good work!! Thanks
I love you humor CHG!🤣
You make tromping through a field fun. Thank you for another thoroughly entertaining video👌😄
Awesome job as usual Kev! Looking forward to more non narrowboat related adventures! Pro tip: pour some of that beer on the sausage next time! Cheers!
Thanks Anthony and that sounds tasty.
Or into the beans 😊
Maybe it's quarantine, or just me, but I laughed out loud during the ending run away, with the music- killed me.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, thanks for posting Kev these last few vlogs of yours have been great and eagerly anticipated by me and probably many others. So please keep up the great vlogs hiking , biking or boating what ever I'll be waiting 👍👍
It's very reassuring to hear that Tony. Lots of good stuff planned in the pipeline. Cheers
@@CountryHouseGent Great news!
Thanks Kevin. Enjoyed you enjoying the great outdoors. 👍🏻
You'd swear you were in Africa matey... loving it
Thought the same here Gary. A definite Serengeti vibe. Be well and best wishes Gary.
Leave no trace or just run away love the videos keep him coming
Loved all three episodes of your camping adventure. Great drone footage and editing. The credits at the end and blooper reel had me in stitches. Great work Kevin !
Many thanks. I'm quite proud of these 3 videos. Cheers,
Just watched these 3 videos properly as only discovered CHG earlier this year…..better late than never. Just brilliant entertainment and cleverly done! Had me in absolute stitches, such a funny guy! Would love to see more of the same! 😁
Thank you Helen. I'm very proud of these 3 videos and would like to do more, one day. 🙂
Hi Kevin loved it 🤣😂🤣the bloopers at the end got me 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😜👍I haven’t laughed that hard for awhile thanks😆looking forward to the next episode…
Great to see you outside having a nice time. Thank you for your video !
Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. You Sir are one crazy man out in a world full of wonder. Alone in a barren land, filled with an abundance of wild life and Mosquitoes that bite the hell out of you. keep well and keep safe. 👍
You're hilarious. Funny on land and canal.
Cheers Nancy. 🤗
Excellent Kevin. Bet they took ages to do. Thank you, great fun. 😀
Cheers Sue. Yes, as my videos go, these were an in-depth, complicated affair. Enormous fun though. Cheers,
Thoroughly enjoyed these camping videos!
I couldn't help but notice that the credits didn't include Kevin Shelley's stunt double.
Apologies there, I forgot but he understands. 😁
'Smerking tabs'..tip of the hat to Andy Cap!
Another epic production! My wife and I enjoyed it thoroughly. That meal, sausage and beans with beer, tough! But really very good these three vids. Thanks.
Looks a lovely little bbq there 👍🏻
Good Lord man…..spit it out! 😂🤣🤪 what a hoot!
So much fun! I hope you had as much fun making this series as we did watching it! Based on your outtakes it looks like you did! Great Video!!
Thanks Jeremy, it's been much fun but exhausting - mentally and physically. 😴
good video , thanks kevin .
LOL quite enjoyed that. thank you
More, more!!!!!!💜💜
On my lunch hour while teleworking, thank you so much for this lovely to watch and listen to, fun to chuckle along with, and a right nice break from reality!
All retakes, burping, stumbling and scratching provided courtesy of Kevin Shelley. 😂😂😂😂. *arting courtesy of the beans!😜. So much fun....cheers👍
Hi Kevin soooo many people could learn so much from you every time I take a dog walk down the tow path and forests around Trowbridge theirs always lots of rubbish left behind some people have no respect
Love it - both your humor & adventures!
Yessss! Someone finally said it, cooking over a campfire IS a complete pain in the ass, and back and knees, and eyes and lungs. Nothing romantic about it. Loved the vlogs.
Top video thank you 😊
Loved the episode
Can't go wrong with baked beans while camping.
😄You r so talented, i enjoyed this whole trip very much ,tY
Kevin, you are a hoot. Enjoyed your video, always do. You take care and find that gnarly old yew tree...grin.
Thanks for three hilarious posts. The trucks zooming by and the buildings in the near background were a bit of a poke in the eye.
BTW, "Y'all" is the most common pronoun here is Southern Appalachian Mountains. You did pretty good with it for a Redcoat.
The ending is hilarious!
I see that I'm not the only one to lick the can lid ! ! Should have been followed by saying , don't do this at home children 😀😀
Very very true, Colin. In hindsight, there's a few things I should've done. For one, a disclaimer at the start of each part saying "This video is intended as entertainment, not a 'How To' manual".
the drainage ditch sure was fearsome LOL :))))
It was touch and go at one point whether I'd make it or not. 😳🤭
Love the “fireside chat” . I doubt I could chuck down all that sausage and beans without blowing up. And yes a peanut is a legume.
What a hoot - or should I say toot?? Beans, sausage, and beer - excellent idea to be camping alone! LOL
Brilliant!
Thank you Dave
Absolutely love these style of videos Kevin, don’t get me wrong, I love your Narrowboat videos but these are a fantastic change of pace. I’d love to see more please.
Beautiful. I’ve really enjoyed these specials. You have such a relaxing, calming presence and are incredibly likeable.
Excellent!!
Shades of Blazing Saddles !
Another great escapade.
Isn't it nice to be out in the peace and quiet, with only your sausage sizzling to break the silence !
Another Great Vlog Kevin,

Enchanting scenery! Well done, Herr Eisenbahn!
I was really surprised when the video became an action film, at the end, when Kevin did a legger.
Another glorious sunset. Never tried a Cumberland sausage, but yours with the beans looked tasty. Loved the credits at the end and all the retakes with the ditch and yew tree. Had a good laugh. Thanks Kevin. Looking forward to your next excursion.
Your vids are always good. Loved the run

Entertaining!!!
I camped this weekend but lacking a magic bacpack, I make my bed in my minivan. Kudos to you for your campfire cooking!
So very nice a respite
Glad to see you. Been laid up with a fractured humerus, your adventures are my adventures. Cheers to indian summer
The Sun is not in the same place, it is zipping along in it's orbit around the center of the Galaxy. LOL. Great series.

Good to see you again, Kevin! Nice of your friend to let you camp on his land. Lucky boy! Take care.
Thank you Kim.
