I just wanted to clarify that this is a collaborated video with Laneige and you might’ve seen a pop-up disclaimer stating the paid promotion and also in the description box! I put out majority of the contents out for free to educate and dedicate hundreds of hour in researching, dissecting product formulas and journals to provide the best information I could deliver through my videos. With UA-cam ad revenue, it pays way below than minimum hourly wage if you sum up the hours and effort that goes behind the scene. That's why I occasionally take paid promotion offers from sponsors as I have bills to pay and so does my research team, editor and designer who works to put the best possible content out there.
Paid collaboration allows us to have a little room of financial freedom otherwise the channel wouldn’t be sustainable. I buy the majority of the products to test and review it for you guys and it comes out of my pocket. I carefully choose the brands/products I promote and you’ll be surprised to see that my inbox is always flooded with hundreds of collab inquiries, and only 0.01% of that actually makes it into this channel. I only do present and recommend what I wholeheartedly believe because it would be stupid for me to ruin the relationship and credibility I built over time.
And this was a product I personally bought back in December and thought it was a game changer and you might've seen me talking about it a lot on my Instagram. I’m happy that Laneige decided to partner with me on this as I got to learn more about what really went into the formula. The formulating technology they incorporated to melt a cream into a fluid was truly one-of-a-kind and ground-breaking. And it was also patented which intrigued me to learn more of that.
Again, I'm not 'forcing' you to buy ANY products that are mentioned on my entire YT channel. With the information I give out, hopefully, I can empower you to make your own decision that's right for your own skin type/condition. Sometimes, people feel more comfortable getting my opinion on certain products or recommendations but my opinion is not an end all be all. Even with all the information I put out there, take it as a grain of salt. Everyone's skin is unique and that's what makes skincare so interesting.
I do not take any income from KraveBeauty. Yes, I am the owner and founder, however, every sale we make goes back into our formula, paying our suppliers, manufacturers, formulators and each and everyone in our team. So while I diversify my revenue streams, working with brands would be my biggest income. I would appreciate if you could be more understanding 🙏🏼 thanks!

I honestly trust Liah’s opinion on products, even for paid promotions ones. I have been using the Laneige Skin Refiner for 4 months, and I can confirm what she said about it. It is so rich, so hydrating, and has no alcohol fragrance or essential oil at all (my skin is super sensitive against those, I’ll know if it includes them). The remaining products I have not tried, but I have tried 2/4 Krave Beauty products and I stand by them. Most products recommended from Liah before and the products she recommends now are very similar in the way that it truly nourishes your skin and does not contain harsh ingredients. So, Even if it’s paid promotion, I trust her completely.

Liah Yoo thank you for replying, Liah ❤️ And yes, I have tried many products you have recommended and they worked very great on my skin. The Laneige one is great too, but I’m still in love with skinfood honey propolis essence which I also tried from your recommendation, and I’m probably returning to it after I finish the Laneige one. Thank you so much for your great recommendations ❤️ I know sometimes some products will not work with one’s skin because each skin is different (such as the calendula toner from natural pacific, I really want to love it since it reminds me of earl grey tea, but it just does not sync with my skin), but 90% of the products you recommended has done nothing but good on my skin. That’s why I trusted you ❤️ please keep on with that. Love you ❤️

You raved about all 3 so now I'm having trouble choosing. If you had to choose, which would you recommend? I'm already using an essence but so many of the reviews regarding the Laneige cream skin refiner said it's more like a moisturizer so thats why i added it to my moisturizer wishlist. Liah, I took your advice months ago and removed morning cleansing from my skincare routine. I was hesitant at first because of the common myths about "dirty" skin creating breakouts... but overall it has definitely calmed my skin and helped my skin to retain moisture more efficiently. It is also saving me money and time!

Okay this video clearly states paid promotion in the beginning. If you missed her disclaimer then it’s your fault. This is a tasteful way of doing a sponsored post. She even states it in the description and the highlighted / pinned comment. Also the video is very informative while she’s recommending the products and why the product might work for your skin. She has never given you bad suggestions so why doubt her now just because shes getting paid to talk about products that she probably already loved. If you truly appreciate her content and is grateful for the endless non sponsored FREE videos she’s done so far you wouldn’t question her character in this video. You should be happy she’s receiving sponsorships and making money. Please help support her instead. She’s already done so much for us all. I’m not even a hard core fan of hers or anything but I just don’t like seeing people hate on sponsorship videos especially ones that are tastefully filmed and clearly genuine to the UA-camr’s own values. 💕

It used a technology that's been getting a lot of attention from the chemist/formulator community in S. I feel like some people definitely need more common sense. Ok it is nice to have free online sources like these UA-cam channels to educate us on the skincare topics. But these people are human too and have bills to pay as well. Them trying to make a living for themselves DOES NOT automatically discredit what they have to say or have to recommend. Geez. Chill out or do your own research.

Argh, I totally feel you! I never thought stress could have such a significant impact on the look & health of my skin. I think the lack of sleep >> amplifies my stress, leading to a severely compromised barrier {dehydrated & so... so sensitive......... argh!} - the only thing that works for me is an extremely stripped back skincare routine {which is super hard for me to do, having to wave goodbye to my £40 PC serums lmao} but a very basic, moisturizer {I like La Roche Posay} combined with TO's HA + B5 serum & Hemi Squalane Oil. It's been a real game changer & made me realise I really don't need as much as I LIKE to use - my skin thrives when I keep it minimal {no chane of skin irritation}.

I’m so happy i came across this channel! Initially when I got into skincare my approach was more ‘let’s look after and listen to my skin and see how much my skin improves’ (I had really bad acne) to my surprise my acne got a lot better, but then when I started breaking out again because I was eating out a lot and not getting enough sleep (most likely) also the antibiotics I took for acne messed up the amount of yeast in my gut. I became more obsessive and got into a just ‘get rid of acne’ mindset. I poured sm money into products that were far too strong for my sensitive skin, over cleansed and would rub my skin like a mad person. My acne really bad again until I started looking after my gut and listening to my skin, and ur channel reminded me about the importance of skin health rather than just getting rid of acne. My acne and dehydrated skin is slowly improving now that I’m taking care of myself and listening to my skin

Lately I have been quite stressed and I am also in the proces of using skincare with only "safe" ingredients. But I still have been having reactions on every single product even my old routine, and my makeup hasn't been sitting well. So when I saw your video I immediatly ordered the product after. I used to own a full sample set of some laneige products and they worked great for my skin but I couldn't afford all the products. So starting with this one I hope I am on the right journey of knowing what my skin likes and doesn't like.

Can i pick your brain for a second? I have normal dehydrated skin & I'm looking for a moisturizer but I can't decide between "Laneige cream skin refiner" , "Mamonde ceramide light cream" or "Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Milk". You raved about all 3 so now I'm having trouble choosing. If you had to choose, which would you recommend? I'm already using an essence but so many of the reviews regarding the Laneige cream skin refiner said it's more like a moisturizer so thats why i added it to my list. Whats ur opinion tho? Help a sister out! Im dying to purchase 1. xo thx so much for ur help!

last month my face is so itchy that I keep rubbing it (gently) even when I'm sleeping and I keep getting pimples with pus (ik its gross) so I checked my skincare routine and found out my cleanser is the culprit (cosrx low ph good morning gel cleanser) and realized you can't just buy what you like, you need to consider if that thing is compatible with your skin type. and whats worse is even my moisturizer is drying my face 😅😢. So I switched to drugstore skincare which is physiogel cleanser and physiogel moisturizer and my barrier is happy again.

Omg Liah! This video is just in time with my current skin condition: oily, but dehydrated. The weather in Malaysia is really hot rn and my skin suddenly got really tight and dry for the past few days. However, my skin is feeling better now. I keep my skincare to the basic. In the morning, I skipped morning cleanser and apply Kiehl's Calendula Toner, Good Virtues Co. Day Cream & Biore Aqua Sunscreen. In the PM, I washed my face with KraveBeauty Match Hemp Cleanser, then apply Kiehl's toner again. For moisturizer, I layer my face with Laneige Sleeping Mask (blue tub) and 1-2 drops of tamanu oil, and a little more of the sleeping mask again. I woke up to a better feeling skin for next 2-3 days (repeating the same routine).

All I want is a super simple routine of a face wash, moisturiser, sunscreen and maybe an exfoliator so my mom said I can go to a dermatologist as my skin is super sensitive so trial and error can end up with me having flaky skin and a slight rash so I am so excited to get a professional to look at my skin and what MY skin specifically needs . literally the worst combo... I feel u bro good luck! Try not to use products targeted for 'acne' or 'oily skin' as they dry you out. I also have the same skin type and this is my routine:
      morning:
      - gentle cleanser: neutrogena all in one make up remover cleanser
      - first treatment essence: sk II FTE
      - the ordinary marine hyaluronics
      - the ordinary NMF + HA serum
      - sunscreen: biore uv aqua gel (2017 formulation)
      Night:
      - contact therapy with benzoyl peroxide
      - first treatment essence: sk II FTE
      - the ordinary marine hyaluronics
      - the ordinary NMF + HA serum
      - uriage/cerave healing ointment as an occlusive
honestly skincare is simple. focus on healing, nourishing and protecting. You're skin will turn itself around.

for acne-prone skin, yes. definitely. speaking on behalf of someone who breaks out SO easily. But I am not very sure if it's for too oily skin because the texture is a bit sticky and if you live in a very humid country + oily skin, you might feel that this is a bit too much, unless you are sleeping in an air-conditioned room then this is worth trying!

It is indeed amazing but I don't feel like I'd like to wash it off in the morning. Actually I am avoiding washing my face in the morning when it is calmer, rather do the cleanse in the evening.
