  • We've moved a bit up the Oregon coast to the Coos Bay area -- staying at Bastendorff Beach County Park and checking out the FOUR State Parks just down the road. We check out Sunset Bay SP, Shore Acres SP and Botanic Gardens, Cape Arago SP, and Yoakam Point SP. We also find the perfect way to get a closer view of the Cape Arago Lighthouse!
    We were here in mid-May and saw temperatures in the mid to upper 50s Fahrenheit

    Wonderful video! As residents of the Coos Bay area (we are recent transplants from Arizona) always have enjoyed these amazing state parks.

      Ah, fantastic! Glad you enjoyed seeing it through our lens ☺️ we had hoped to paddle in the south slough reserve but weather and timing didn’t really work out for us. Definitely a place we’d love to visit again!

    So many great ideas for our trip next summer...believe it or not....Turtle Rock RV already has reservations up for next June 2022 Guess who just reserved RV site #46? You know...the one you liked with the hot tub on the river. Well, that would be me!

      Well, not exactly. There are two separate city governments, school districts and city limit boundaries.

    We camped at Sunset Bay a few years back - the tide was low, but not this low. There were tide pools that our old girl, Lexie lounged in. The lighthouse history is fascinating and those houses 😍

      That would’ve been great to be even closer, and to walk to the sunset bay for sunset 😍 yes! Those cliff houses were great, would be fun to rent someday

    I have not seen all of your adventures but curious if you have explored Cape Perpetua just north of Yachats? Thor’s well and everything is amazing we love adventuring there. Also Winchester Bay is awesome, 3 beach accesses the harbor, sand dunes and 10 areas to camp. We love windy cove 2. We are heading there soon. Also in North Bend you have to go to Yeong’s Burgers 🍔 probably the best burgers in the state. Have fun guys.

      We were there for a week and were good to go with streaming and work 👍 I don’t recall which cell provider but I think Verizon was stronger

    We stayed at Sunset Beach SP a few years ago, I almost got trapped by the rising tide. Oregon has done a very nice job of keeping a lot of the coastline open and many have camping parks. Your probably up in Astoria by now, there is a Casino (still there?) you can stay over night in right along the main road.

    • @WanderlandTravelers
      @WanderlandTravelers  3 роки тому

      Yikes! Yes, it’s so important to stay aware of the rising tide! I’m sure that’s a nice campground at Sunset Bay, was your cell signal very strong there? We love Astoria, will have to remember to check for the casino if we go 👍👍
