- This is how i make a pair of our paralletts at TD Gymgear.
I glue 2 pieces of 3/4" Birch plywood together to make the uprights.
the bottom piece is 1" birch plywood for the base. For the handle i use a piece of hickory, Ash or Maple depending on what I have.

Damn, I wish I had a workshop like yours
WOW! That was awesome dude
Looks like a solid design.
So cool man. Great job.
Really nice work. I'd like to do the same but I've had to admit that I might save $30 but with my limited tools and skills the parallettes would either look like crap or would require a couple grand in new tools. Much as I'd love to be able justify that, I've got nowhere to put them, lol.
Awesome! Any alternative to plywood for gymnastic rings?
how do you make the dowel rod jig when trimming the ends?
Muy bueno
Brilliant!!
its really advanced required many tools .
How hight is please
hat off @6:20
why the need to trim the ends of the dowels? can you just drill the hole for the size of the dowell. maybe im missing something
Nicole Manchak it's just a more advanced technique. No need to trim just for looks.
Dimensions? They look to be about 2 feet long and around I foot high.
+Peter Bryan exactly
Thanks man! Btw, this video looks so satisfying! Thnx for posting.
And now for everyone who doesn’t have a complete electric woodworking shop in their garage...
buy already made Parallett bars for less then £20 on Ebay..instead of forking out a fuck load more for materials and the tools to make them yourself? :D
You use whatever you have pal. This parallets can be made with just a circular saw and a drill, all the sanding can be done by hand. People need to focus on how to achieve things with the means you have, not wish you have everything to make things.
