Man, California is just the best. So many opportunities to score… every wave has its own beauty.Even amongst the crowds there's just so much perfection. These guys are killing it finding spots to shred basically by themselves! Just knowing the feeling they must have is awesome. Probably went to bed with big grins every night too and sweet dreams of uncontested rides and throaty barrels!!
It's nice to finally see some Norcal surf that isn't Mavericks. It is really nice to see a surf video that isn't some tropical paradise with perfect waves. I might be a little biased considering this at and around my home breaks, but keep cranking out quality videos like this. Good Job! The Surf Channel I'd like to see more norcal and cold water surfing.
Actually, it's just down the coast a bit from Mav's; was one of my favorite spots until it got too crowded in the mid 80's. The video shows it about as good as it gets.
This is inspiring...I've had self reflection lately..and it gave birth to an immense desire to surf in me. I'm 23 and something tells me it'll be hard to surf in competitions. But I've always been one to go against the odds..and I want to dedicate my soul to learning to surf...can't wait to ride my first wave. Thanks for the video!

There's a pretty serious looking fin at the back of the wave at 1.38-1.39. I wonder how often that happens when we are out in the water? Great wee film.
I like that they show at the end all of the worst wipe outs, that shows even the good surfers can pick a bad wave as most only show the good in their videos...

I wish I knew where half these spots are Im planning on taking a week long surf trip solo up north this winter im from San diego and mainly surf Oceanside harbor and treatles anyone got any good tips for my trip?
+delimanxt91 Awesome, done it before. Explore and ask the locals. Ocean Beach San Fran goes off in the Winter, even small its pretty darn good. Santa Cruz has alot of very good surfers and packs. Big sur wow, hard to get but beautiful, Montery has lots of beachs, check out New Brighton or Sunset Beach both have camp grounds.
Move to South America, lower cost of living, great waves and uncrowded line ups. Was out last week in a solid 6 foot swell with perfect conditions and only 8 guys in the line up.
You could live in Puerto Escondido with very little money, save up for 6 months and then come to Mexico, rent is very cheap here , the surf is great, Zicatela tho is kinda scary if you are a beginner, dream big and go live your dreams
go to Oregon, its cheap as hell, i hear the surfs good, but its cold as balls. im in sf bay area, have to wear a wetsuit here as well almost all the time
