@@amonavis73 no trick for the subject or target. Of course they edit and stuff otherwise. They had to show how he saw it and do a trick in that. Rememberer he said he was being hypnotized in the audition. So he probably really believed the other chosen subject actually vanished in front of his eyes and stuff. It just did not play too well so they had to show the original guy later, which had 'vanished' by saying ah 'we had another guy disappearing too.'
The magician would not of been famous if he had not gotten his reaction. I think this guy should of went on Ellen too!

It’s an editing trick. He walked out that’s why the guy put the sheet in front of the camera so they wouldn’t see him walk away. Then they make 2 clips one where the sheet it over him and one where he’s not there and they remove it and edit it together. Both guys are given scripts to follow. So their reactions were fake

starkness65 based on how it’s usually done, there was likely some kind of trap door for him to escape into under the chair or right next to it and the magician gave him a signal to jump in when he was about to lift the blanket.
