I think between the dealers messing w people by jacking up the prices and the banks charging high interest people are holding on to their cars longer.
Agreed
Interesting, I got my ‘24 under MSRP at 1.9% APR for 60 months through the dealership… some of these dealerships are absolutely insane though, I had to visit 9 before finding one willing to work with me.
Plus the body styles are going backwards - around 2010 to 2012 was the sweat spot as far as best body styles of any generation of Mustangs
Yeah and the corrupt manufacturers don't want people holding onto their cars so then they "specially design" their components on the vehicles so it doesn't have longevity to maintain it
To get a low interest rate you either have to take a loan at 48 or 60 months which you need deep pockets for a deposit,so many try 84 mouths or longer which will put your interest rate over 9% and most don't want or can afford $700 or higher mouthy payment along with high insurance rates unfortunately this is a sad time for american V8 muscle cars as I am noticing a trend here GONE camaro, charger and challenger V8 watch out mustang slow sales could mean the above as the trend for government push to EVs.
I’ve mainly seen the GT’s with $1k-$3k off MSRP but a couple days ago a dealer advertised their GT’s with $6k off. Might be to push some sales since Q2 is coming to an end, but it’s nice seeing prices drop. Looking at getting one soon
What dealer was this that was offering $6k off? I could screenshot that deal from that dealers website and ask for my local dealership to price match.
@@Frogsplash27 Tomball Ford in Texas, 38k GTs that sticker for 45
@@Frogsplash27 Actually, they sticker for 46
Seeing that line up is beautiful, but unfortunately alot of us people are in tight budget now days
Indeed, loan rates making it hard as well
I'll tell you why these cars are all sitting.
The design sucks, they cleaned it up way too much and neutered it. Put a 2024 next to a 2023 and it's not even a choice. The 550 just looked so much meaner.
The interior looks like a poor man's Tesla with a giant screens. And most importantly, the car just cost too much for what it is.
Who is the buyer when the car cost between 50 and $65,000? Nobody.
The mustang has has been and historically affordable performance car. Keyword affordable.
iPhone 8 mustangs starting with the body and going all the way up into the coyotes.
1990 a Mustang GT loaded 5.0 was 14 five out the door.
Fast-forward my last Mustang a 2012 coyote was 38 grand out the door because I was buying it a couple grand under invoice and that was totally loaded with the track pack, etc.
That 38 grand number is the price point for this car.
Is this just a mustang problem? Absolutely not every model is up 1520% what it was even 56 years ago and more.
So until Ford can drop that price under 40 grand, they're just not gonna sell. Year to date the 2024 is only sold 14,000 units. That's pathetic.
Right now, assuming I liked the look of the new GT, there's not a chance I drop 55 grand on it with options. I go buy a used GT500 or a mock one or just a GT for the S5 50 series and save 20 grand plus.
Remember Mustangs mostly or historically appeal to younger men, generally 35 and younger. They don't have any money anymore… They could barely pay rent and now you want to stick them with a $700 a month car payment? For a mustang with subpar interior?
So now they buyers have shrunk to a tiny group of likely over 40 years old or 50 and still have that nostalgia. But even that nostalgia comes at a price.
They kept the pricing where it is right now but delivered cars that were 550 hp plus from the baseline. It may be the dark horse was 700 hp. They double our sales.
They want 10 grand more for the exact same car with a little bit of plastic surgery on the outside and a rear end that looks terrible. And a front end that looks like it's cut out of a plastic.
That is Ford Stanley union at least with the mustang grant they can't seem to sell anything at this point. And I'm a blue oval fan. Nobody in the industry can sell cars because they're overpriced, interest rates are too high and Hall markets about Fold on top of its own weight.
Lot to read
But I agree
Like 04 mach and my 97 cobra with supercharger
I agree 100%. The styling is atrocious.
People are not buying cars because they don't have money
Mustangs used to be the blue collar working man car. Badass and affordable. Now, even the ps 4 cyls turbo is too expensive. I would not buy a car that I can’t enjoy because of stressful monthly payments no matter how much I like it.
I was so going to buy this, but they put 3-4k over sticker on an ecoboost every place. Dealers have become pure evil, that combined with all time high APRs, not worth it
Your Mustang looks great! Almost bought those wheels over the weekend. Trying to justify the 3k. Can't lower mine here in NH, the roads are bad. Glad my C8 has the front lift. Great advice! Thanks!!
Got $5k off mine been having it since December in rapid red i got like 7k miles on mine and im loving it more than my old 2017 mustang gt ❤
High and unnecessary car loans keeping broke people poor…
Mustangs are supposed to be the blue collar Everyman sports car. They priced them too high and are competing outside their bracket against Acura, Lexus, etc. They should max out around 30k. Keep it simple with a good looking chassis and a V8. We don’t need them to be wannabe M3’s… IMO
I dont mind the look of the new mustang but I would be curious what the insurance would be. It reminds of the chevy camaro a little bit.
Before I bought and was looking serious at a used 2023 350 RXh fully loaded but with the small 4 cylinder hybrid we called the insurance to see what the cost would be.
If we sold and or traded or 2013 lexus our insurance would go up 300 dollars per year buying the RX.
If we keep the 2013 lexus our insurance would go up 900 per year.
We have a 2015 ford transit, 2013 es lexus and the 2023 350 RXh and all three vehicles together run a total of 450 per quarter so about 1800 a year which seems kind of pricey to me but i was used to paying about 900 a year for 2 vehicles now with the third vehicle its an additional 900.
I always thought having a sports car muscle car would push up the cost when it comes to ins.
Im older so maybe it wouldnt be too bad but I can imagine for a younger person 20s 30s the cost would be nuts!
I dont think I would have lowered it.
I like the look but I like silver or polished wheels & I probably wouldn't lower it. Takes away driveability.
People are either too broke to afford ridiculous prices. Or people are finally getting smart and not paying BS markups by dealerships. I hope that's more the case. f**k dealerships
Ford needs a new Mustang exterior design team. I have been a Mustang fan for many years but I just cannot appreciate the look of these newer generations. There’s a reason why the last significant sales numbers for the Mustang came during the 05-09 model.
Ford knocked it out of the park on the 2005 Mustang in my opinion. It looked so much like a 1967 even having to deal with the front and rear bumper requirements. If Chevrolet would have made the 2010 Camaro look as much like a 1969 Camaro as the 2005 Mustang does a 1967 GM would not be able produce enough Camaros for the demand. The 2010 Camaro is a nice looking car but just does not look enough like a 69 or 67/68. I have a 2015 ZL1 manual trans that I absolutely love, I like the 14/15 Camaro the best out of the 2010 and up models. The new 6th gen ZL1 looks great but I don’t like that it has the DOD lifters and direct injection.
Thanks for sharing. Nice looking car. Blessings on your day.
They are on the wrong side of 50k
Maby if the car looked better
I would
High interest car loans. Lack of extra money due to inflation. I’m tempted with dealer incentives and low interest financing though.
I think this goes for most cars except maybe Toyotas and Hondas. People are holding on to their cars, smart move considering todays economy
You have it looking good there bro thanks for sharing I don’t believe I’ll be lowering mine after watching this video 💪🏾💯
Cannot beat the 5-spoke wheel look. Saleen wheels are beautiful. I like the S650 front, but not rear. Reverse on the S550. I’m not buying one because of the iPads. I had a GTI and hated having to touch the screens for everything. The S650 cloth seats are a definite improvement tho. I’ve had a premium auto GT 2021 and base manual GT 2023. Loved my base manual, but had to sell it for a truck to move to Colorado. Looking to get a used Mach1.
I personally don't like the wheel design to me it fits someone much older like in their 50's
😂 Well, I'm definitely in my 50s, so thank you.
@@smartphoneconversations that’s funny 😂. I’m 74 and I could care less what anybody thinks about my Camaro with silver rims, I want my car and truck the way that makes me happy. I know the trend is black rims and I like them on certain models but I’m still old school and still like silver and gray rims.
I love the color and the wheels are truly amazing. What modifications did you have to do for the staggered set-up? I have my eye on an identical car and would like to follow your lead.
It's because car prices are insane. A loaded GT performance package cost what a GT350 did 4 years ago. That's just insane!
There's no mystery why they are sitting. Ford has priced them with options what you can get a C8 base Corvette for. I'd buy a C8 all day over a Mustang.
Don't try to make it to be anything else, this is corporate greed.
Dealerships are prideful, manufacturers listen to the government more than the people, and the new models (Corvette, mustang, etc etc) are complete downgrades from 2021 cars. Also they now are usually asking 6 figures for vehicles that are worth 60 grand. They are like McDonald's. It costs them pennies to make the product but they want it sold for 5x the price
The wheels are fire. I have a 15 Premium GT Performance Package. Buying a C8 but keeping the Mustang 😂.
My 2015 S550 has been mechanically sound. I have some rust bubbling on the hood edge and that's the worst I've had to deal with in 8 years of ownership and I AutoCross the hell out of the car. The S650 is priced too high in a struggling economy with high interest
What dealerships are y’all talking about because I live in CT and all GTs are selling at MSRP or even above
Search autotrader or cars nationwide, V8, New, and sort by lowest price
I don't blame them. That Covert Ford is a joke, they probably bought from Riata Ford instead.
2024 I Still Want One, a Leather Seats GT. For $51,400. Drive Out.
Get yourself the factory warranty supercharger from Lebanon ford for about $50k
The car doesnt look good on pictures or videos. But once this car pulls up right next to you and drive off? It hits different...
3000 off is the lowest you can get around where I live.
I like the look i was looking at those but i want to see what's coming down the pipe. once they get everyone into EV the prices will skyrocket its just a delicate illusion to get you to buy one.
What’s up Jay…I finally test drove a GT manual. It had the recaro seats which I found extremely uncomfortable…the other GT’s with the regular seats were to buried in for the salesmen to get to. They have 6 manual GT’s. And 2 dark horses. One manual. And one auto…all of them have been there for months. I previously owned a challenger widebody shaker manual. The GT lacked the low end torque compared to the challenger…and I couldn’t get into the test drive bc of how uncomfortable I was in those recaros. I could go back another time, when the other cars aren’t buried in to test drive one with the regular seats. But I’m in no rush. The short test drive that I did on the car. I didn’t get that WOW feeling. So I didn’t even bother talking numbers
I love my Recaro seats in my 2015 ZL1, I find them to be very comfortable and great support bottom and back.
just got one. these cars are sick man, ppl will catch on. last american v8?
Is it possible 17 inch wheel or more sidewall tire 18 inch wheel.
Beautiful car man. Red is my favorite color. I see it must be yours too.
Your car looks sweet. Rapid red with cool wheels - hard to beat.
Just ordered the DH
On 6/3 Ford put out a massive recall on all 24' GT manuals for clutch line issues. Dealer will inspect and replace if needed. Good luck trying to get an appt to inspect and parts not even in stock yet. Dealers have a stop sell on new GT manuals because of nationwide.
Saw that, it’s only 8k. And most will probably not need to be changed.
48k for a new base GT near me without discounts offered. 10 years ago a new GT was under 30k. This isn't just inflation but price gouging.
Nice looking car. Love the wheels. Any chance you can give some details on them please? Greetings from Australia

Bro, what do you do to afford this and a Corvette C8?
Wheels looks right on the mustang nice
Have you ceramic coated or PPF'd your car? or will you?
Never have, never will...it's not worth it in my opinion.
What wheels and tires are those? Size?
People don't have enough to eat...the last thing they need is a stang!
You are reaching. People have money for food, and they have money for lots of other things like cars. You’re trying to put a small group of people all together, but that’s not how life is. My take is people are getting smarter, and making the dealers pay for all the games they play with these prices. Feds have the rates to high, people are just sick of it.
Beautiful car. I am a spoiler kind of person. Imo, if you put a black ground effects package and tint the side windows on yours it would be sick. I'm not sure if you got "active exhaust". I had found a 2024 GT with all the options but then my financial status changed for the worse so I didnt pull the trigger. I'm staying with my old 2019 GT Kona Blue 6 speed manual but I added an aftermarket front and rear spoiler. Soon I will add an aftermarket "active exhaust" (not quite as good but I will have two volumes, I love my neighbors).
So Jay, I have a 23 GT base model and it has a steeda h pipe that gives it that deep tone and boy that thing sounds good but you have a great vehicle right there, my friend love the content
Thank you sir. Congratulations
10 percent interest or even higher!
Wow! I see a lot of Mustangs out and about.
Hey dude nice car. I got a Oxford White 2023 GT Premium 10R80 trans Convertible with Show Stopper Red interior. I get compliments all day long great spec. I have two other manual Mustangs of 90s vintage. This time around I went in a different direction. The 10R80 is NO joke it will absolutely smoke a manual, and with paddle shifters it's fine.
No four wheel drive option going up against high performance SUV’s, narrow stock 255 tires on a 400 plus HP sports car?
Your Car is Radical man 😊
I had owned a 68 Mustang Fastback in the '70s and this model reminds me of that look. Currently, drive a white 82 Carpi RS 5.0 since new right from the Mercury showroom... 42 years of enjoyment! Some minor upgrades like a T-5 with aluminum drive shaft and 8.8 3:55 gears to scoot it along. Nothing like a old school V8 rumble!!!
Also watchout for a new thing dealerships and manufacturers are doing: They claim that they sell at MSRP but what they do is have the dealership make a price with the manufacturer and then the manufacturer tells YOU that price as the "MSRP". You may notice this when spec-ing a car on the website. It says something like average MSRP or MSRP POR (Price on Request). They want to get linked to your dealer first before they list MSRP
Price and economic conditions are the BIGGEST factor 🫤 congratulations 🎊 on the new Stang 😊
I hope to own a 2024 Mustang, but I am saving up over the next 5 years to get the one I want
Not in North Carolina
What kind of wheel package do you have on your Mustang? Amiable, my friend.
Funny how someone with money complains about fuel mileage on a performance car then says they didn't but it for good fuel mileage.
That said, your mpg needs to be stated as actual mpg, not miles per tank. Miles per tank means nothing unless you're filling up at the exact same tank level point. I can also guarantee you haven't broken in your engine correctly. Cruising at the same rpm during break in is exactly what you're not suppose to do. No reason for your miles per tank to drop so drastically unless it's something you did wrong.
If you figure what it's going to cost you for actual dollars per mile, the Mustang is a very good deal compared to your Teslas. Purchase price, insurance, maintenance costs including battery replacement etc. etc. all up to 150K miles will be telling.
I get the exhilarating launch experience from a Tesla but would never by an ECar for that kind of money and not be able to travel long distances.
You are way off, because you are assuming. And if you are old enough, you know what that means. But I can tell you think you’re one of the smart ones, so have at it. Just based on this comment.
@@2024CorvetteE-Ray
Just going off what your video told us.
Give particulars on your math. Saying it costs $15 to get your Tesla up to 100% means nothing! What level did you start your charge?
What is your actual mpg on the Mustang? Did you check the cars computer calculations vs your calculations? FYI my '19 GT350's computer calculations for mpg are within 1/2 mpg from actual so I'd just use the trip reset and let the car do the calculations...That's an assumption.
Exactly where am I off in my first response?
When you offer very vague statements we have no choice to assume.
Wish you all the best on your performance gasser....long live the V8 302.
I'd take your Mustang over your Tesla...lol
💯🙌🏽😆
I love those rims
Great looking car fantastic thank you from Sydney Australia 😊
I finished up my 68 fastback gt this past winter and hopefully one day I'll be able to get a 23 - 26 gt
I think cost is a issue. But I think Fords recent reputation is a factor. Number one in recalls I believe at the moment and for a few years in a row. I know its my personal experience but I know way to many people who have owned Fords over the last 10 years and have had way to many issues.
I personally havent seen too many of these in person. Less than 5 definitely since release despite a huge Ford dealer near me.
I probably regret lowering it a little bit because the Eibach Sportline can be a bit much on less than ideal roads. By all accounts the Steeda Sport Springs is amazing.

For God's sake bro replace that silly looking shiny black hood grill with the more aggressive, flat black RTR hood grill. Changes the personality of the car and you will love it more. Also my gas milage went up to over 20 miles a gallon since adding the borla switchfire midpipe and the rear seat delete kit. Got 8 more HP with the midpipe, a better sound and better mileage after dropping 35 pounds of weight ditching the rear seats and stock midpipe. For more HP and weight reduction and better gas mileage I will take out the carbon traps and get a cat back. So yes, there are things you can do to improve weight, mileage and HP. A little hit here and a little bit there all adds up.
Nah, that RTR stuff is lame to me and a waste of money. The stock look is much better. I’m glad you like it though, enjoy your car. I’m not into making mine look like everyone else’s.
@@2024CorvetteE-Ray if that was my Mustang I would put some type of carbon fiber wrap starting at the rear of the heat extractor, same width and go all the way back to the rear edge of the hood. I have a 2015 ZL1 with the carbon fiber hood insert and it makes the hood look a lot better than if the heat extractor was by itself. Look at a 2012 to 2015 ZL1 hood and think about how your Mustang would look. Not trying to be critical just sharing my thoughts.
