I've seen where old tape measures have been used in slap bracelets. This allowed them to lock straight, and then curl around your wrist. A bit trickier to wrap in leather.
I wouldn't have thought of that! Good idea and probably more accurate to the slap wrap legacy lol

If you anneal the copper beforehand it'll be softer and easier to bend
