good timing for this to pop up. im sewing up a few RO inspired items for a friend...great tutorual, im curious though, what were you doing with the glass block. im still fairly new to leathet work and havent seen that before. thx
I used the glass slicker in combo with gum tragacanth to smooth down the flesh side of the leather and help reduce dye transfer. Not completely necessary but I like the smooth look on the back to match the front as much as possible.
To apply the edge dye, try using a small wood dowel. Just sharpen the tip with a pencil sharpener. It's more easy to use and replace than a screwdriver.
