I was searching on net how to change def filter on combine Claas Lexion 8700 with Mercedes engine, but no luck. Dealership sent Claas part box with filter and 10 more small parts. Called tech and he said i need just case, filter and that rubber cap. Then i see there is grease tube written Cummins. Then search again and fast find your video showing identical filter case. That was it. Very helpful to see that all 3 gaskets need lube 👍👍👍
Idk about 100k miles, maybe on the large semi trucks, but on the medium duty truck that I have I change it every 25k miles and I haven't had any issues so far, my friend has exact same truck as mine and his DEF pump went out at 50k miles and he never replaced the DEF filter, (I wasn't aware of that until the failure) and its a 2023 International MV607 flatbed tow truck, now over 80k miles and running strong
Thanks for showing how to replace the def filter! I have a 2016 Navistar International 4300 box truck that has a Cummins engine. Is the def filter in this video fit my engine?
I have never noticed one making a noise. Check behind yourself and make sure that it's the right filter. If so, I would think the noise should go away shortly.
Thanks for sharing! Just what I needed to see!
