This tree has been through some trauma. Raccoons knocked it off the bench, the apex of the parent tree died back, the child portion is always growing too vigorously but I'm not giving up!

I would leave the baby with the mother. Not something common and I like the unusual.

Yes, I think in time it can grow into a very interesting tree.
