I am a user who has been using the ruppes mark v in Korea since last year. I will let you know the shortcomings of the mark V in advance. If the Velcro on the backup plate is too weak, I will inform you in advance that the pad is blown into the air due to heat and the painting of the vehicle is being damaged. Italy 🇮🇹 Headquarters will release the backup plate in the United States without modifying the backup plate even though they know this. If the problem of the backup plate is not solved, you can pay a lot of money to paint the vehicle, so I will let you know this problem.
Thank you for the feedback.

@@RUPES Thank you for your reply. Please pass it on to the technical team. And I hope the improved backup plate came out. I heard that it is Mark V innovation. I think Mark V is made with some internal and external HLR15.21 wireless parts. I think Mark V was made by installing parts on the wireless and installing only the head cover on the existing Mark 3 body. Why am I saying this? I'm confident that HLR15.21 has repaired both LHR15.21 MarkV. And one more thing, please pass it on to the technical team or the team that produces spare parts. The reason you have to sell the high elastic plastic gear set separately is that the gear sets are lumped when you turn the polisher together for a long time (the gear is pressed and not driven, and it turns in vain). Even in the Mark V drawing, you cannot buy a gear set separately, and there are cases where it is said that it is an armature and a gear set value arm, so these spare parts need to be taken to purchase only the gear set separately. In the old nanorong hybrid, the same phenomenon is occurring as the case where high-temperature plastic gears are frequently handled, so please make sure to deliver this and ask for measures so that you can purchase the gear set separately.
Got to try the new Mark V a week and a half back. It is so quiet and smooth. If people liked the battery version but wanted a normal corded tool, this is the one.
I was very surprised on how quiet it was.
Ibrid version stall like crazy even on flat surface. Rupes just cheat on customer and release and so so bad tools with too many problem.
@Nakinakpgm lol I have no issues.
@@mikezupancic2182 you’re lucky …
Great Video!
Thank you!
Really informative vid thanks! The sound of the mark 5 is much smoother. Less clacky. I’m definitely buying one when they reach the UK! 👍
Thank you!
Mark III is pretty good for now but would love to try it!
@@Topgearautodetail I’m impressed so far, only time will tell.
i agree i have a 10k sq. ft. detail facility in the n.e and have 10 employees the backing plate is a big problem first pad ever on the machine flies off the machine feels great sounds great but my guys went back to the mark III they need to fix this problem the pads do not stick
Hello. Thanks for this nice review. Since I'm an amateur detailer last 4 years (It's my expensive hobby-I do mainly my family's and friend's cars) and I have already spent a lot of money (over 5000$) for compounds , waxs ,pads etc just to try them , I was ready to buy the Mark III polisher. After seeing your review I'm totally confused. Is really mark V an upgrade? I know it's a new product and needs time to have a complete view. The only thing I'm worrying to, are the new polysynthetic gears (longevity).
Keep up the good job!!!
Would you say it stalls less or more on the curves compared to the mark 3? I returned my ibrid ones because in my opinion they were completely unusable for paint correction due to pad stalling.
Watch the video, I do some heavy pressure with it. Once the pad comes off the surface, its smoking. Plenty of power!
My ibrid one stall like crazy too
@@Nakinakpgm This one is impressive
@@MarineDetailSupply Yeah I can confirm Mark V is amazing. I do recommend putting a spacer (washer mod) and that makes it even better. So smooth and powerful!
My MKIII 21mm has a Kamikaze backing plate. Guess im ahead of the curve.
@@DaddyoftheMack 🤣
Ya il keep the mark lll. For heavy gel coat the flex 3401 comes out.
3401 is a good tool but we have proved this time and time again that a long throw will not only be more efficient but also more effective at removing scratches.
I have the rupes mark V and the maxshine M15 pro and even for a professional detailer the m15 pro is plenty good enough... side by side the rupes mark v was disappointingly quieter and honestly... for over twice the cost, you get diminished returns with the mark v outside of the long warranty. I tested these 2 units extensively on a flat surface and my maxshine m15 pro stalled as much as the rupes mark v.
Oh that cheap crunchy sound is completely gone. That alone is worth the upgrade.
Facts
I heard the new mark v is made in us? Is that true or made in italia? Thanks in advance
@@carloipo They are made in Colorado. Yes
Basically a corded ibrid?
IBrid is brushless
lol where my mark 4!😂
They stated that the Ibrid is technically the Mark IV, plus in some countries the number 4 is like bad juju. So they didn't want the number to affect sales.
