I blinked and missed this when I was watching it initially.
The sign is for Back to the Future, with Eric Stoltz. Eric was initially cast as Marty, before they swapped to Michael J fox.
Nice touch with the alternate universe.
I love how the Observers are basically godlike Übermenschen, but basically also socially awkward nerds.
Man in Black were chipped normal humans in the past which made them enhance cognition in expense of their emotions as they evolved and progressed into the future in that way - some even wanting to return or ''reverse time'' to correct the mistake while others became involved with the transhuman elite agenda
This episode "Peter" occured after the episode "August". I think it was a nice tie-in to have August around in a flashback. :)
At that time, I never knew the observers were evil.
Those 3 observers were different
@@haroldkuamadio657 Experiencing emotion made September and August lose control, and December had no choice but to punish them
Like the nephalim, the observers are the trapped ones looking for escape. Just when they think theyve manipulated us into their plan, something overcomes, a Remnant. Watch. Its coming!!
Fringe was/is my FAVORITE all time show.
He shouldn't have listened to August, and just go back in time to tell Walternate that he found the cure.
Beauiful :D
Even with all of their intelligence, none of them considered September going back to Walternate’s Lab to mention that the experiment changed colors. At the very least, it could give Walternate the opportunity to retrace his steps.
Observers can be eluded by the simplest of solutions.
Before he could do that, walter prime had already enacted his steal a son plan 😅
2020 - this is fkn awesome show (wifes` account)
I didn't realize August was in this scene. I thought they had created his character for the eponymous episode.
... What makes you think they can't reuse characters in later flashbacks?
The reason that September mistake could not be rectified by simply telling walternate that he found the cure is because it would confirm the existence of the observers
Remember, the reason that the observer went back in time was to find a new home and invade the past
Their original plan was to invade the alternate universe, but since September changed accidentally interfered, he now can't go back to rectify it cause walter is a very smart man and is the head of the national defence organization in the alt universe, ofcourse he would make things harder for the observers to invade, so the observer needed to change their entire plan to invade our universe instead, but that again resulted in further curuption of the timeline so they deviced the machine that would act like an olfactory reset such that Peter would have never existed.
That was supposed to be the end of but Peter continued to exist.
Remember, the reason observe in season 4 was more cautious and didn't reveal their presence but in the earlier season were more willing to interfere cause they knew that the reset would mean it wouldn't matter how much they interfered
It also was interesting that in the first people universe when peter destroyed the alt universe the observer aren't seen until the end cause that universe didn't have a future so the observe didn't any time to even come into existence
They must be in the alternate reality, as Erik Stoltz was not the final actor in 'Back to the Future'. In the prime Fringe universe, and our own, Michael Fox was chosen to play the Role as Marty Mcfly and many scenes were reshot with him in it.
Not to mention the Zeppelin in the sky.
I thought it was Earth 2.

Did you see that?

Yeah, Eric was originally cast as marty, before Michael J fox.

It is a great nod, for an alternate dimension.

Yeah tell me something I didn't already know now fix it. oc~~~
I don't understand why the Observer can't just go back and tell Walternate that there was a cure???? Is it just to put the storyline forward?
BlackrocaYT They can’t directly influence the timeline.
Edit: It probably wasn’t actually a mistake considering they don’t exist in the other side. It was probably planned all along.
why is this a mistake ? Since it leads to invasion in season 4 and then to they have conquered earth in season 5 - The observers themselves where lead and edited to that part in season 4 and then "they lost it"
It's a mistake because it changed the future, and in the RedVerse on top of that. Changing the future means their timeline may no longer exist, wiping them out in a time paradox.
Is that Peter Woodward?
Yes, Edward Woodward's son. He was also in a number of episodes of Babylon 5: Crusade as a technomage.

What the fuck? How is September Walter LOL, but come to think of it, it may actually be. That is just a wild guess, unless you are with the Fringe Crew writhing the Script.
