As a radio engineer and frequent traveler, both in France and abroad, I purchased this radio for my professional trips as well as for my weekend motorcycle getaways. I must say, its performance pleasantly surprised me. Compact and lightweight, it easily fits into a bag without taking up space. While it’s not a traffic receiver, it stands out for its efficiency and versatility as an AM/FM/SW radio. Additionally, it transforms into an MP3 player with a microSD card and a Bluetooth speaker, meeting all multimedia needs. Its USB-rechargeable battery is a major advantage, ensuring extended usage without hassle. At this price, it’s hard to find a product with a better quality-to-price ratio.
Fred in the Shed because of your unboxing review video of the Raddy RF750 i have bought this small radio and i highly recommend it! Thanks for sharing this!!! 73's
I own one of these, and the sound quality really is amazing for its size. For the price, this thing is a heck of a good deal. I've owned mine for about three months, and I use it all the time. I have nothing but good things to say about it. The only negative there is, in my opinion, is the lack of a headphone jack. If you can live without that, then you'll be very happy with this.
Hi. Yes i was totally surprised how loud and clear the sound was. They have obv used a good quality speaker. It really should have a headphone socket though.
Nice little radio. It reminds me of the cheap military fashioned radios I had in the late 70's that flooded in from Japan. * You used the word I was thinking about it - cute!
I never peel the film off my radios. It protects the display from scratches. Like the chunkiness of the radio, less likely than the thin ones to fall over. Had mine for 2 years, appreciate the BT function and being able to control the volume from the phone. Nice video, Fred, thank you!
I've had this radio for a few months and it works great. I also use it as a bluetooth speaker with my laptop and sdr dongle when camping. Big improvement over the laptop speakers.
Not a. Bad little radio for what you get, like you said it is small but sounds good 👍, can’t wait to see and hear about the other one, thanks again FRED hope to see you soon 💯🍻👍
That's so cool Fred. You do love taking those films off the screen! Makes me remember of a 9volt battery radio I had with a dial. My older brother probably stooled it out of here in estate fiasco. Cool, GI JoE little Radio! Cq cq! Anyway, great video!
I have the RF75A I carry it with me everywhere I go. Works great for a radio and also as a Bluetooth.. it is a little complicated to operate but intuitive once you get the logic. It’s loud. But also be careful you can blow the speaker.
That was a very 'fair' review Fred. The quality of audio that emanated from the tiny speaker wasn't a surprise to me as I have experience with Bose audio systems that use 2.5 inch speakers and the sound quality of those is truly astounding .. If this radio had got SSB I would have been reaching for my debit card. As it is, for the money , it seems like a good buy.
Thanks for the comment. Yes SSB would have been awesome. The 760 has that as well as AM / FM CB. Its very much a "theme" radio with retro looks. People collect them apparently. I have 2 Soundtouch Bose speakers which a fairly small and make a big sound so know where your coming from.
Hi Fred.. I don't know if you've heard but Knights CB/Ham Radio Shop are closing their retail premises in September and going to on-line sales only. End of an era eh ! Thought it might be worth a mention on your next video .
Thanks for the review! Unfortunately for Radioddity, the 750 lacking SSB kills any interest I had in the radio. I do have the ATS-20 which I think (for the money) is a superior receiver with better coverage offered. I think I am going to buy another for my truck to have equal coverage at home and mobile. Good luck!
Needs SSB and NBFM to hear real people with transmitters. Otherwise any broadcast AM stations left will be just disinformation and propaganda, like the BBC is already.
Just ordered one, crying shame about no headphone socket, maybe someone with diy and soldering skills could fit one to the speaker output if there's room for one! doubtful, maybe why one wasn't included in the first place? Just subbed too. 🙂
I enjoyed this review. just one wee question. So many of these small radios have excellent SW coverage, sometimes with SSB. They have Weather band and Air band too. But does ANYONE make one with Marine band? Thanks
Hey Fred - Nice video. I've never heard of this brand before. I suppose if I wanted a headphone jack I could use a dremel and put one in there, but as you've brought the subject up a few times I have question for you regarding Weather information frequencies. Does the UK not have this? It seems like the UK (or any other country might have it, especially if the same frequencies could be utilized), but it's something I've often wondered about (actually the first time I bought an EU version of a Uniden radio or President McKinley and not finding one has driven me literally crazy enough to ask you about it. I'm looking forward to you review of the larger radio as well - 73 😁
@@CB-RADIO-UK bought one Thursday and seems to be getting worse even if done slowly is there a fix for it Also is the mic mod sake on these with the foam cheers m8
Hi. (we are talking 9900 and not 6900). The 9900's mic is a pretty good and i would not mess with it. If your selector is slipping channels when you turn it slowly its prob got a fault.
If I wanted to buy a high quality short wave radio what should I buy ? I’m in the Midlands. At the moment I have a Roberts small radio, just boring can’t pick up much.
Hi. Not many top spec SW radios made nowadays. Price no option would be a new or used HF radio. Something like a Yaesu 450D. A cheaper brand new option would be this radio. ua-cam.com/video/cdAJeI-v06U/v-deo.html
@@CB-RADIO-UK Fair enough, I saw that you weren't impressed with some of the buttons etc, and that made it appear slightly lacklustre, but I'm sure folks that are into these things, like it. Thanks for replying.

I’m waiting for the other one. That one looks better. Great review mate
Nice review Fred, I have the RADDY RF 320 and i am impressed with it, plays very well. My only complaint was the antenna is fragile!
Im looking forward to seeing the next radio 😊
Looks like a little toy "Action Man" radio. Seems to have a decent radio inside it, but the styling and user interface are getting in the way.
Ok,good moning, receiber is very very interesting 👍 🆗️ thank
Frid in the shed your utube videos are awesome my friend 😅😅
Thank you as always Greg.

Great for a back pack or pocket when ya on the move ... no jack tho is bonckers. Cheers mate

Do they do this without the army theme?
Not that iam aware. There is a digital display version out there.

Frid in the shed iam going to san Diego CALIFORNIA in October 2023 19-23 for five days with my cousin and his wife we are flying there 😅😅
Enjoy your trip Greg.

Yes Lewis. Spot on.
Did you try Bluetooth headphones?
No i dont think its got Bluetooth.
Bluetooth headset won't work with this one.
This is a bt receiver not a bt transmitter.
"No earphone Jack - - That's a deal breaker 😕
Identical styling as the Muzen wild Bluetooth speaker, its like they were made in the same factory
They prob were. Much in China these days id generic.
@@CB-RADIO-UK True, I've ordered an RF-750 to go with my Muzen at any rate, will be interesting to compare

I really like mine. Good reception. Great BT. Really loud for its size. Nice compact size for bike packing.
Honestly Fred, I just don't see why you would review this. It might be good for kids maybe, if they had an interest in radio.
