Need help! - I just got an iphone 14 and selected 'transfer from nearby phone' because I wanted to retain all my information. I transferred from my old SE and now my phone says 'SIM locked' and I cannot receive calls or texts. I can only make outgoing calls. I don't know how to fix this. Should I reset the phone and use the eSIM QR code on the box? Will that lose all my information?
Added layer - I also switched carriers from T-Mobile to AT&T as well. I spoke with AT&T support since it said carrier locked for the eSIM but they weren't helpful and now I have to wait 24-48 hours for an "engineer" to call me.
Anyone have any advice?

Wow! I also requested and texted *MOE* Now when you purchase a carrier-locked Phone, the iPhone 14 series receives an activation policy to this effect-only support E-SIMs from Carrier “iOS”. Any other SIM that’s inserted will give an error message.
In the United States today, typically only devices that are on device payment plans are locked by the carrier, to prevent the users from using them with another carrier before it’s been paid off. If you purchase a device and pay the full price, the device receives an activation policy telling it to work with any SIM-KARTE{E-sim}

So my iphone 14 pro will be here in a couple days and it's through AT&T. Do the esim card comes with the phone or do I have to go to AT&T and pick up a esim card?
The esim is built in to your phone. The card is no more.
There's No Actual Physical Card , it's eSIM which means you'll set it up On your phone Online , the eSIM is built into your cell phone when you purchase the device so all you need to do is have A Phone Service that Supports eSIM & you can then Activate your Phone .
I'm having to move from Safelink Wireless back to Tracfone Wireless because Safelink doesn't support eSIM , So When I get my iPhone 14 I'm moving back to Tracfone Wireless .

You didn’t set up the phone all you did was transfer data. Top right corner you still have the SOS which means phone not connected to carrier some sim not created

It's no any but... it's painful and stupid I should have more control over my phone for example travel a lot and for example in Moldova esim it's only for people how made a contract with carier for not less then one year. I travel in Egypt Europe... and I used to switch that Sim and save some money time. But now I need to pay more for less. I used to spend 100 dollars for 4 months in Moldova with no limit used to swap Sim card online the time in Egypt you get a sim for 10 dollars and forget about that for one week or more. I can't use iphone 14 in Moldova because they don't have esim for that place I used to buy sim all the time so but now my phone will not work there 😅 way do I needed this innovation then? I don't like that sistem and need to pay more 😒 for what? This may work only for reach people or who never get out from there country.
