I recently exchanged my iPhone 11 for an iPhone 14 and went through the transfer where I purchased the phone. It was much faster and easier than the last time I went through this tap dance. Interesting that two apps did not work properly after the transfer. I had to delete the apps and reinstall them. That fixed the issues with no loss of history or data.
Great vid-thanks. Went through loads before I found yours, which were mostly for the U.S.A, so no physical SIM, with the other vids showing the full process, but without when to remove the SIM & add to the new phone. Thanks!

Here in the US, no sim card in the series 14 phones. During the transfer, the carrier will assign a ESIM and transfer the existing line to the new device. The old phone will retain all of the data, but phone number will no longer function on it. If you want to keep the old iPhone fully functional, you must purchase a new additional line from your carrier.
Nice I wad worried about that so I do everything the same as thus guy did and my sim will transfer??
That’d because in the Uk most mobile providers don’t have eSIM support

I wanted to know, as we set up new phone with old one. Does new phone is having same old settings as we had it in old phone. For example: wallpaper settings, dark mode, and some are like we have locked some apps, passwords, settings in privacy etc etc.

My current phone (64gb) with a monthly payment for iCloud storage. To an iPhone 14 Plus (256) can I delete my extra iCloud storage and will not lose any photos once it’s been deleted ?
OK, but what will be the impact in inflation?
What will be status of the old phone?
Does it still retain the data or it is has been factory reset?
Old phone will still have everything on it, but the phone number will no longer work on it, unless you purchased a new line from your carrier for the new phone.
If you take it to the Apple store and they will do all this for you. But new Apple phones are too expensive and mine is a few years old and works just fine.
So much messing about, I use a much cheaper make that takes ten seconds to set up...

nicely done joe. In Amerca Apple as decided to use ESIM instead of physical sim cards. SO all of our back up and activation now takes about 10 minutes. But they said it is only for the USA and no where else. But that was agreat info video. Thank you!
They have it in Australia I know that much.
iPhones have had eSim compatibility for years - I use one, in Austria, on an iPhone 12 mini. In the US, they got rid of the physical tray as an option in the iPhone 14, retaining it in other regions - but all iPhone 14s support eSims.
So it look's like you got obsolete information in the USA.
@@aimeelinekar3902 when i purchased mine they completely removed sim cards and now only use Esim. I was also reading it was only in the USA that they were doing that and wondered why. I read this off the Iphone website when I was setting up my new phone
@@Jeri- actually it seems you may not be inside the usa to know what the Esim agreement is here. So I would not eb so quick to say obsolete without first gettign some data.
