Thank you - yes she took me by surprise, I wouldn't have set out to make this kind of Holly-hobby-ish style, but I'm glad she insisted as it's brought back some very happy times for me :) Boots, bonnet and bloomers next ....
Such character in this simple design! Beautiful! The only limit is our imaginations. Thank you so much for sharing. 'Listen to what the doll's telling you.! Wonderful!❤ 👍from Somerset
Ah thank you Liz, I'm glad you enjoyed it, I hope you'll have a go, I think I could get obsessed with making these little people and have loads of ideas to try out. Please share some pics if you make one (or a crowd of them) :)
Aww so cute! ❤ she keeps looking at the camera 😂. I love her ! Oh I make the tube for the body most of the time Annie, and decorate it with buttons, lace, or beads . Simple , cute, and reliable. Perfect tutorial Annie . I have a strong thread, but I need to try that Quilting thread . I'm going to get some . Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you Annie for your video and sharing this pretty doll. She definitely needs a bonnet and boots. I will need to wait till new year to buy a new computer and link it to my printer, unfortunately the old one is too old to repair but I really want to try one of these dolls, they look so much fun . I can see the costumes as endless.
Thank you Carol, I'm glad you like her - and yes definitely, she needs a pinafore and bloomers too and a lacy petticoat. took me down Memory Lane, looking for the old original Hollie Hobbie pattern I used back in the 70s, but people are charging ridiculous amounts for it, so that's not happening! Please private message me on Facebook, or email me :)
Thank youvery much Linda, I'm very happy you like her - I think she has a little way to go yet and her personality will emerge as we go along. I do love creating these little people, it's going to be a new obsession I think :)
Thanks Bonnie :) Yes I guess, unless I only ever make practical, useful items, then there is always going to be the issue of what am I going to do with them, but that's not going to stop me making things just for the joy of doing it - human beings have been making purely decorative things for millenia, it's clearly in our make-up isn't it? Some I will give away, some I may even try in my Etsy shop. At the moment, my room is full of fabrics and other supplies - in my dreams I would gradually turn it ALL into pretty things eventually but of course that will never really happen, because I keep collecting more! If you want an idea for using your quilt blocks, my latest vid shows how I made a fabric flow book, they'd be prefect for that, or turn them into fabric box bags for storage in your craft space :)
Thanks Annie! Sometimes creative juices can’t be stopped 😋. Carry on ❤
I love her so much! I love how she is getting more and more of a personality as you go! I am looking forward to see how she evolves!

These Dollie’s are so cute but what are you going to do with them? I make sample quilt blocks and never know what to do with them
