Making little dolls brings me so much joy. I have never thought to sew all the pieces out before I cut them. It's such a smart thing to do! Seeing this video has inspired me to make one today! I have to try out that second head attachment style!
Good evening Annie, i do so love your enthusiasm for making dolls! Definitely inner child comes out to play when making dolls!. I have made some ugly dolls that i love!!. I, too, i am i the UK too. Hugs achta Karen ❤❤❤
Thank you Annie for your video and demonstrating your most excellent doll making skills. That fabric really moulds itself well especially the the head and facial features. Can't wait to see what you do with the clothes.
Thank you Carol, I'm just fumbling my way through really, but I do enjoy making dolls. I must try and remember what that fabric is called and where I got it, I've had it for ages and it is really nice to use for dolls :)
Excellent tutorial Annie, I love your suggestion of to attach the head - thank you, I’ll give that a go. Those turning tools make the fiddly parts super quick and easy to turn, it took me ages turning the parts for the doll I made. I need to invest in some 👍🏻
Thank you Wendy - I loved your version you showed in the FB group, she was fabulous! I have a couple of improvements I've made to the assembly (learning on the job as always), and I'm just working on the next video showing how to adapt the template and make a little outfit, should be up in a couple of days. Yes those turnign tools are brilliant, worth seeing what you hve that you could use though, I reckon one of those fat drinking straws and a knitting needle could work really well :)
Thanks Susan, I'm happy you found it useful, and I hope you'll make one - or more! Please do share some pics and tag me if you do, you know how mcuh I would love to see :)
Thank you for the demo and pattern. Yep need to make a few I am thinking will be great as stocking fillers, wanting to turn one into a golfer, lol would be wonderful for hubby stocking, need to make while he is out fingers crossed we get sunshine and some warm weather would be rather nice. NZ is in a heat wave here in the Wild West we are still getting polar blast other day weather man had us at 24deg was the talk of the community we got to 8 degrees he was a whittle wrong, lol his name is mud around here. Cleo is about to get another a groom and groomer and I are both wondering if she should have a shave, guess she will I will put a little jumper on her if she is cold, gosh I feel like a right Meaney. Hope your not to cold over on your side of the earth, some of us are wondering if we might have a little snow at Christmas here, has happened before don’t panic not global cooling.
Your weather is even more unpredictable than ours Paula!! Love the idea of little golfers and now you've got me thinking of all sorts of other characters - I hope you'll show us some pics if you make them :) Fngers crossed for some summer weather for you soon - it's a beautiful day here as I type this, cold but sunshine and blue skies xo
