Most Dangerous Ways To School - Nicaragua: • Most Dangerous Ways To...
In the Amazonas region of Brazil, education is a sought-after asset. To get it, children must constantly overcome an array of different challenges. It is a journey across lakes and rivers, just for one goal: School. Because this is their chance to break out of poverty and create a better life. For this, they subject themselves to a daily dose of danger. Like the ten-year-old Alice, her sister and the other schoolchildren.
Some of them must walk through the rain forest in the Amazonas region, the most biodiverse region in the world. Others need to paddle eight kilometers twice a day to get to school and back home. The Rio Negro River is the greatest challenge of all. It is the second-largest tributary in the world. And in some places, up to twenty-seven kilometres wide.
The children have to face high waves, harsh weather conditions and crocodiles in the water. While only a water canister on the back end of the canoe serves as a counterweight, and keeps the canoe balanced.
In order to get closer to their wishes and dreams, each day these children carry not only a backpack, but also the fear - on one of the world’s most dangerous ways to school.

After I started watchng this series a few years ago, I picked up so much on my university studies. I started getting distinctions when I realised how easy I had it, studying from home. May education serve these children and their parents, they worked for it.

That was even more heart breaking when he was explaining how he doesn’t know his subjects and is basically behind. He is so motivated that even in the rain being soaked and traveling long distances he STILL STANDS AGAINST EVERY HURDLE AND OBSTACLE. I wish he had family that lived closer to the school so that he could at least not have to do the strenuous journey to and from.
One of the best series on UA-cam. Hate to see the struggle these children go through to get an education but love their determination. Thank you to this channel for sharing these stories.
Totally agree
The determination and bravery of these young students in the Amazonas region of Brazil are truly inspiring. Their daily journey to school through the Amazon rainforest and across challenging waters showcases their unwavering commitment to education and a better future. Thank you for shedding light on their incredible efforts.
My 17 year old son had to walk home from work for the first time when my wife and I were out of town. It’s only a 15 minute 2 block walk and my wife and I were basket cases until he got home. I can’t imagine this as a parent. Major respect to these kids and their parents.
It call surviving something the American kids is leaking this days.
We raise kids to the wolrd to for ourselves but is hard to let them be alone once the wolrd we live in is way dangerous than the wolrd that this kids live. #❤Brasil
@Corporal Chill Mood Vibez she didn’t raise her son the be soft. I’m sorry that he was provided the privilege to not have to walk? That’s literally the point when you have children to make their life less difficult than yours to ensue their safety and success. No one has failed at anything. Anything could happen to him.
@Corporal Chill Mood Vibez I’m talking about your comment towards them?’v how did she fail as a parent bc she was worried abt her kid like?!?
@Corporal Chill Mood Vibez how can he not survive? Because he doesn’t have to walk to work 😭. Like I’m not understanding your thought process. He literally got home by himself safely is that not surviving 💀
what a wonderful documentary. I prayer for these children to be successful . What a difficult life. All school children should see these documentaries so that they would realised the price and value of education and not waste it, and how fortunate a lot of them are. i felt very sad for the children especially Diaz.
His name is Ion, not Diaz.
their parents need to see it more then the kids these days
They live better than the homeless people in America 🤣🤦🏻♀️

They should make one about South Sudan 🇸🇸, Iraq 🇮🇶, Sudan 🇸🇩 and other countries.
me too, I hope they make in central America and south America as well, such as honduras, Venezuela, cuba, puerto rico, suriname
We should do a Fund Me collection for Eia to get a motorboat.
Been awhile since you dropped an episode. Definitely one of my favorites along with most dangerous roads.
Me too I agree
I also do Roads regularly. 🤝🤞😒
Finally we miss these videos 🥺🙏🙏🙏🙏thank you free documentary 🙏
Finally the legendary series is officially back! So sicked!
Psyched not sicked 🤣
Lol 🤣 😂
This is my highschool life in the Philippines we need to paddle to get to school from my island to the mainland. Tho its tiring sometimes especially if its stormy or the waves are heavy but it was such a memorable experience. These kids are just like us and deserves more in the future. Just enjoy everyday and keep going. 🇵🇭♥️🇧🇷
I want my children to live that way. That’s the good life ❤️
How I wish I could live that kind of life with my family. Urban life is so boring 💔.
@@dominiquexo4772 share me yours too.
@@dominiquexo4772 its not that good.. sometimes stuck on the mainland due to typhoon no fish no meat just rice or sometimes no food at all. Going to school all wet even the books.. we need to set a fire to dry our books.. we even attend a class clothes even the shoes are all wet until its dry.. the whole afternoon in class. That's was 😔... we just persevere... hays those elementary days...

I love these documentaries, the tenacity and determination of these children and their families for them to get an education deserves respect. I wish I could buy the young fella a motor for his boat.
Education is power.
They are real people of Amazon rainforest. ❤️
Hats off kids ❤️
Loved this video. The crazy thing is how so many of us in western societies take education for granted, and complain about homework, and having to walk 5 minutes to school these kids literally go on a life-and-death journey every time they step foot to get to class and they never complain about it. Talk about a different perspective.
Man.. these kids are some of the most grateful for their education.. It’s something a lot of us take for granted.
I love this documentary. Do you ever donate to them? And can you please make more they are so nice to watch and they raise awareness !
I’m sure they get paid for their time.
People who take part in documentaries do not get paid.
The boy who had to paddle while other kids got picked up after school 💔💔💔
Paddling builds character
@@DaneOrschlovsky did you paddle as a child to build your character?
@@Hashtag25_ Exactly. Poor fella did it without complaining or griping.
@@DaneOrschlovsky well you definitely don't have any. smh
@@shannonjackson814 exactly my point. The kids did what they had to do in order to enrich their lives and are stronger for it. My statement has nothing to do with my character. And yes, I did have to paddle 10 miles uphill both ways to and from school just like every other suburban American child. 🙄
As a teacher, I wish the best for the students. Their will to learn is something I will share with my students. The best documentary so far.
During an English lesson, our teacher showed us a video about the Massai, after which we were given a very interesting task - to watch a video about another people and about their way to school, my choice fell on this video - a video about the Brazilian people. The essence of the task is to watch a video and make a comparative presentation between the Massai and the chosen people. Thanks to the teacher for such a wonderful and very interesting task.
More of these documentaries please!! It's absolutely incredible seeing what these brave kids go through everyday just to reach their schools.
My favorite series....it helps me not to give up on my own educational journey
I absolutely love this documentary. I have shared them with family, friends, and coworkers. I have an idea, it would be amazing and a hit to do a follow-up series on these kids to see how they survived and what happened to them. Did they make it out of poverty and have successful careers. What happened to them? Some of the videos are old enough (7 years old) to do a follow-up series. Thank you!!
Exactly, a follow up would be awesome!❤
One of the girl is married and rest are still living the life just like their parents

seeing the boy rowing alone is motivational and also thanks for this episode in the series of dangerous way to school
Building a dormitory would greatly help the students, a reminder we have it easier
I hope that these children will get the support they need to achieve their dreams. They are giving their all for their education and futures. Thank you for your documentary.
this film is my biggest christmas present. I was lucky to spend 4 years travelling the south american rainforest in the early 80's. Such a peaceful place made incredible by the many beautiful people there. If I was to ever have children I promised myself to bring them up in the amazons so that they would have the best possible start to life. thanks
I pray for the safety of the children and for their future success!! May the angels continue to guide their paths
God has continue to protect and BLESSED these children from harm I am always hoping that when these dangerous ways to school are being filmed that they do get help for the children in terms of better transport 🙏❤🙏❤
Props to the cameraman for risking his life (with the children) as well, to film this documentary. I can't even imagine, how it feels like.
These kids are amazing 😢
FACTS.
Watching this from one of the most developed cities in Africa i.e. Cape Town (with its own unique challenges), I am encouraged to take my own studies a bit more seriously. I grew up in Cameroon and school was just 10 minutes away and I later didn't take my university studies too seriously until in my late 20s. I am 31 and worked real hard to get my Master of Arts degree last March. While I didn't have to experience such hardship getting to school, I am encouraged especially by that one kid who takes his own canoe by himself and immediately starts his homework after all the rowing. I will plan to get my PhD in the next 4 years.
Огромное спасибо авторам всех серий фильма Трудная дорога в школу!

OMG!!!! HOW I missed this. thank you so much. I learned a lot from this honestly. Happy New Year with much more episodes like this.
Amazing...can anyone tell us, how and if we can help in any way?? Especially for the boy iea...who needs to go the opposite way of the school boat...i would really like to help.
Thanks and God bless all those kids!❤️

Same here. This breaks my heart. I tell my kids they don’t know how easy they have it. Yet they don’t appreciate it or take advantage of what our schools have to offer them.
I really miss this type of documentary. I was enlightened on previous episodes.....
This is really great
Same here in Mindanao Philippines
Some childrens still suffering from it but they have to conquer it
Some of them are teachers, nurses and engineers now
and proud they can be
Sorry for that poor kid 8 KMS away. That’s some serious paddling but dangerous too!
Yes I missed this series!! I like all the series on this channel but this series, Most Dangerous Ways to School is what got me into this channel.
Once I did a project, where I touched of the topic: hard and dangerous ways to school, but this video make me think about the importance of the problem of ways to school and education in general in such countries. It is strongly, that children have motivation and desire to study, and they are ready to go every day through a lot of dangers. I admire them! And happy that there are such videos on the internet, you start to appreciate many things.
Got so teary eyed for the young man having to row back home alone 🥹😢
These beautiful strong children. Sometimes our children just don't know how lucky they are. God bless the hearts and lives of these kids that they get to and from school safely everyday. I pray they find better more safer ways for the children to get to school or even create a 5 day boarding school would be amazing
I wish we had a way to communicate directly with these struggling families to try and help them 😢 wish who ever makes these documentaries gave us a direct line to kinda adopt a family and help them
I volunteered in this village and further down the Amazon in 2019 with an organization called ADRA- they welcome help in all kinds of ways.
I absolutely love these documentaries.
Finally new episode from one of my favorite documentary series about struggling and perseverance of kids just to go school and reach there dreams ❤️❤️
This kids are amazing, i am speechless, God will be with them on their ways, and answer their prayer, they deserve anything they want in this world
Eia the boy boating alone back home is a true inspiration.
Their sheer tenacity is AMAZING! They deserve the best!❤❤❤
Thank you for these documentaries. Everyone realizes how lucky they were in their own unique ways!
This is the best rural school of all that i have seen throughout the world from these documentary. Wonderful. Good to see the students are determined and most important see the value of their education.
Thank you so much for sharing the story of this kids and their families from different parts of the world. We can learn a lot from them such to be satisfied for what we have.. 🙏 to be grateful toward God and look for oppotunities to help others.
Then, since difficult and problems are present in the life of the persons no matter what country you belong, it is also nice to see when in some places like comunities near Amazon river in Brazil like show this video they work together for make better the things for all. Whishing the best future for children like Ian, who makes effords each day to reach school and have an education 💌👏👏
This is heartbreaking, but at the same time it makes me realize how fortunate I am that I didnt have to go through that nor my children... I hope Life gifts them with a plentiful and happy future.
Love this series! These littles are tough as nails! Happy Holiday's, Free Docs!
Estos videos son únicos ❤ es que me encantan , pero a la vez me entristece el sacrificio de estos niños para poder ir a la escuela 😢 como se les podrá ayudar ? Mil felicidades para los que hacen posible dichos videos .

most dangerous ways to school series got me into free documentaries some years back and all those stories are always in my heart. gosh, I really really hope you will upload more of these and thank you!
22:25 reminds me of when I used to go to primary school (in Jamaica), I had to walk, and I used to pick different fruits on my way to and from school. Those were the best days! but I have anxiety watching this, I feel for these kids and wish I could help in some way.
Hardly ever have I commented on such sites but I couldn't resist myself doing that. I've binge watched all of the videos of this series and it turned out to be the best documentary ever, can't wait to see more of these.
God be with you kids! May you have a bright future.
So crazy to see how others do daily life.
It is odd that living in an area with that much water and so many rivers that they can't swim. Seems like that would be a staple for life. An old neighbor of mine has told me when he was a kid in Mexico he had to travel many miles to get to school, he would leave early enough to ensure he was there an hour before school started, when he got there the principal would let him sleep for an hour until school started. He has always said without that hour of rest he would never have made it through school....
I've been waiting and longing for this documentary so much. Pls continue releasing it constantly. I appreciate that
Our children should have to spend a week with these remarkably brave children. They would realize what some sacrifice for an education.
Yes!
I think Brazil has resources to build schools or pick up and drop off children at/near where they live. It's heartbreaking to see how these kids struggle to go to school. All children deserve education. Today's kids are our future leaders. "Dangerous way to school" would be disastrous for countries that don't spend money on education.
Come on Brazil, spend more on schools than succor stadiums!!!!
In the classroom at the English lesson, we watched a video about how children from different countries get to school. We had to make a presentation, tell about the selected video and write an Summative Assesment. I chose Brazil and I would never have thought that in the modern world children overcome a long and difficult path in order to gain knowledge for a better life in the future. I respect them for that. These children are hope not only for their family, but also for the whole country. After all, in order to achieve something, you need to do and try. These children are an example of how to achieve what you really want.
I’m watching this as a grown man 34 year old women and I can’t imagine doing this now as an adult…these kids are incredible.
I love to canoe. I can't anymore due to health issues. I remember one time my best friend and I were in a canoe at Pine Hallow lake. It was starting to storm and she hadn't paddled in rough weather before. I could tell how scared she was. I wasn't because I rafted a lot so waves didn't scare me. It took us about 30 minutes to get back to the cabin. She used to tell that story saying I saved her life. Our lives were never in real danger. Years later she and her then husband rebuilt a sail boat. It was pretty big, I can't remember how long. But they sailed around the world in it. She definitely got past her fear of water. I hope these kids realize how brave they are.
Really breaks my heart to see the struggle they go through everyday. ❤️❤️❤️
And here in the western part of the world we complain about the silliness things. Bless these brave children!!
Happy new year. I had to wait for "dangerous way to school" this long. In the meantime "deadliest roads" have been great!
I am so happy I found you. I have already share these documentaries with some teachers, and I hope they can prepare some lessons using these documentaries, so the children in their classes can learn about these brave kids, and their teachers and their parents. I would like all the governments around the world support these schools, it is one of the MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES for humans, TO BE EDUCATED. Our taxes MUS BE USED FOR EDUCATION.
As crianças sao muito lindas, Deus abençoe e cuide deles. Amei a histórias da menina falando da sua avó con muito carinho.
Actually those kids are much more stronger than others! May Allah make you easy your dream’s both of them. I’m greating with you from Somalia country 🇸🇴🇸🇴🙏
Sometime we take for granted what we have and this video open my eyes even more. I try not to complained about the little things in my life any more. Good luck to these kids and wish them a great future.
So happy this series is back…… always praying for the kiddos,…..wish the could all have motor boats.
This video is wonderful. So calming an peaceful. Thank you for another great video
Is there anyway to make donations for these children?
I love watching documentaries and Most Dangerous ways to school is my most favorite! Seeing and witnessing the struggle of these children to get the good education. Hoping for their bright future.

Hope for a better future for all these children and their families. Much love to all, especially to the dude behind the camera, must of been really hard to do this documentary without showing any emotions and feelings towards the kids and their families...
I'm so ignorant about what life is like for other people in the world. That's why these documentaries are so important. Thank you Free Documentary and the filmmakers and crews who make them.
The bravery of these innocent children is beyond any words you can think of.
This is BY FAR one of my fave series on UA-cam right now! How about doing an episode about the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland, or New Zealand.
Great seeing this videos. However you should include ways in which we can help some of them
This is how my parents say they went to school 😂

Such a brave bunch of kiddos.❤ They deserve beautiful future.
I wouldn't go to school if I had to paddle in a canoe😥 my fear of moving water can't be explained

How we blessed are we hav good shelter .road , vehicles 🚗 food all we have but we are complaining still subhanallah these kids are very brave I wish they will touch a high way in life 💜💜💜💜🇯🇵
God bless those children and keep them safe always..
It's a little heart-sinking to watch that boy Piya paddle to and from school all alone in solitude. He looks like a sad and angry young boy.😢 Hope all this sacrifice for an education works out well for the boy.🙏
Such documentaries should be shown to children who take being spoilt to attend school for granted.
I always send this document video of "dangerous ways to school"to my son everytime after I watch it.For him to realize how lucky he is that he never experience or will experience this in his whole life..And to learn some lesson and appriciate aswell the things he has.And there is a lot of things in this world that we don't need to complain.
Thank god you start this beautiful series again
love to see pupils crawling through the difficulties towards beautiful dreams ❤❤
Can we donate for the boy with the broken canoe? They are not that expensive. Starting price 800 euros
800€ is a lot for mostly people. Atleast should be a rowing boat.
The boy Iya😢😢.... Left behind as the rest got a ride from the school motorboat. If I was a rich Brazilian footballer making millions in Europe and the like ...a motorboat for him would be on the way and sponsor his education ahead. I feel the school boat could have at least give him a ride more than halfway and then go where it was going. Imagine if it was raining, they could have left him there?
Been waiting so long for another Dangerous ways to school episode!!! Please keep these coming! Happy Holidays!
