This Right Hand Drive Datsun 260z had been owned by the same guy for 17 years... Sadly it had been in the garage unused for a very long time.. Time to drag it out and start a new project.

One day my son and was working on my old 260z which I purchased back couple year ago.! This gentleman came and visits his cousin which happen to be my next door and come up to ask if we interest in buying his 260z which he say be park in the bar for over 20 years. When we show up it was sitting in barn just like ur video, with clean gas and spark plug car start up running. The feeling my son and I had was amazing. Thx for awesome video…!

I have 260z 2+2 1978 with L28 with downdraft webers and its running very rich. Moving back to SU carbs

It's a 2+2! Looks like it has a dashcap on. I'd like to see what it's like under it. I just took the cap off my 240z and there's a lot of cracks under it! Just more jobs.

I think it has had a few after market parts fitted in fairness… the original mirrors look really good

They were mostly manuals in the UK, rarer to find a Auto (unless US import) also it’s a 5 speed car

Lovely car, I am pretty sure the 280Z came with fuel injection for certain markets like north America. And so did the later updated ZX models.
Now, these were export models, but the Japanese domestic models had a 2 litre engine with crossflow cylinder head which I am not sure was fuel injected or not.

Yes that is right, it is a 260z from Australia in RHD but at some point someone fitted a injection set up from a 280zx or a 280z ??
The 2.0 JDM spec engine models were twin Hitachi Carbs.. or at least the one I had was that set up

The shift & shift boot look like they’re from a 280ZX.
