Would Love to own this sweet Z! This was my first car. Almost identical to yours. Mine had a lighter blue paint and the interior was white except for the dash and console. My dads friend had it sitting in his shop. I bought it and didn't even know how to drive a stick till that day! Been a die hard Z lover ever since. I poured a ton of my money, blood , sweat and beers into her and she was fast and beautiful! I ended up having to sell her because every damn time I left the house the cops were on my tail, sucking that sweet Z exhaust! One important fact, 74 was the only year the 260 was manufactured. Thanks for the memories, you have a awesome ride their!
Wow I didn’t know it was a 1 year run. Super good info. Yeah my heart aches a little to see her go but I do not want to pay what my dad wants for it. 😬🙃🤙🏼
@@therealjessescheel Whats he asking if you don't mind? I've seen them go for upwards of 20K plus here in the last couple years.Just blows my mind what these cars are fetching. I also had a 83 280zx. This car was mint! bought it from a 1 owner from TX. It was her car period. When I went to look at it she had her suv & the 280 sitting in the garage along with the kids power wheels and toys taking up the 3rd bay,his 80K BMW wasn't allowed in there and her 280 wasn't gonna sit outside in the weather! I think i bought that car in 96 and it had 43000 miles on it. She was totaled when a Kid shot the gap on a 2 lane and I was on the reciving end. Jeep Cherokke vs 280zx. I was lucky just being hit in thr left front side fender. Another second and a half it would have been sitting on top of me! Bent the frame crushed the upper and lower control arms busted the strut and snapped the fuel injection right off the head! And what really pissed me off is that I just changed the oil,had less than 2 miles on the fresh oil.
i had a 260z same color here in cali. got it for 200 bucks off the original owner back in 07. still ran but was not as nice as this. sold it for 1100 bucks a year later cuz the carbs were so out of adjustment it would stall at red lights. watching this rekindled my urge to get another. great vid man
When I first moved my Old Neighbor had A solid 43K mile 240z original owner, really wish I knew he was interested in selling it because boom it was gone one day when I thought it was his baby.
Rob P 1 second ago Ohh, and the carbs. They looked like Webbers??. That would explain the odd power band. Should be basically unstallable?, is that a word, LOL
I don't think Daddy Doug will let you list the 260Z on cars AND bids since it's older than 1980, but he might make an exception because they continued to make the S30 chassis until 1983
@@therealjessescheel bring a trailer is probably the best option for that thing. Old Z's sell very well on there. I have some experience with them as a photographer for their listings, so I will tell you to be prepared for a 3-4 week wait minimum for it to be listed once you submit it
My 2nd car was a 260z, back in 1979. Your dad's looks incredible in and out. Here's what you should do - replace the 260z emblems with "240z" and make an extra $20k on the sale.
Man I think I would trade it in on the 2022-23 Z car. Only because it's all original and would need a serious engine/suspension upgrade to satisfy my needs.

My project is a early 260z light metallic blue with white interior and brown carpet, all original. Maybe it was your old car 😉
@@rallycarsdinosaurs7623 same as the one I'm tryna get rid of
That is a very cool car! 😎😎😎 I always loved the old Datsun Z's! Your dad took great care of it! 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍

Love your Dad's Datsun! I have a 2003 350Z.
I really thought this video was gonna suck for the first 2 mins because there was no “PSSHHHHHH” welcome 😅 The “PSSSHHHH” draws me in man 😂👍
It’s in there. You just got to wait for it. 🙃👍🏼
Super fun video really enjoyed it! Like others have said bring a trailer would be a good place to list it.
Sounds like that’s where it’s going. ☺️👍🏼
Dont sell it! Great vid, lmao when you and your bud were in the car. You deserve more subs.
Appreciate the kind words man! I know I will kick myself for letting him sell it but the wheels are already in motion with bring a trailer.
One of the most mint 240z I've ever seen. Original owner FFS!!. I hope your dad got top dollar. And BTW you'll kick yourself, trust me :)
