I love your older long form videos, glad you're bringing them back
this PISSES ME OFF... but i'm not even mad. bring it, Brandon!
All the beginner guitarists thank you
Can I say I appreciate you saying, and not apologizing for, calling them a piece of shit lol
Common sense, people!!
I have watched almost all of your short videos religiously and have learned more from them than many attempts with guitar teachers. I’m glad you’re making this change to go more in-depth - I’m definitely going to check them all out because I know you’re such a skilled teacher. Cheers!
You spoke my mind man!
this is a FUCKING GOOD CHARACTER you have created. very refreshing in this landscape.
I would love for you to explain the best chords to practice for beginners, intermediate and pro.
Looking forward to this. Seeing as you have a large, loyal fanbase, you could probably cope with longer gaps between videos as well. If you need a little extra time, we'll all understand.
I'm happy to see you explore longer videos! I graduated from Atlanta Institute of Music with a focus on guitar roughly twenty years ago, but I still learn from you (or more accurately, relearn) aspects of practice that foster genuine growth. And as a part-time music/guitar teacher for many years, I have a deep appreciation for others who teach well and who focus on what actually matters when it comes to practicing. I hope I speak for some others when I say that we sincerely appreciate all the well-presented knowledge you've chosen to share, and we heartily look forward to more! Cheers!
GREAT !!!! I LOVE THIS !!! SHORTS WHERE REALLY GOOD BUT HAVING THEM IN DETAIL WILL BE GREAT
I'm happy about your decision! I love hearing Canadians talk, they are so adorable.
this is awesome. this dude is the goat guitar channel
Your videos were a big help for me,thanks Brandon ! As a suggestion can you explain more the concepts and applications of modern lead guitar ? I was looking for that all over and all i end up finding are licks or someone explaining someone else's approach, thanks and keep at it !
Looking forward to what made me subscribe in the first place. Also, a key benefit of longer form videos is that content creators don't feel the need to SCREAM every few SECONDS for EFFECT!
yes, long and insightful videos with lots of demonstration, that would be awesome
He's unveiling his true power in these videos, maybe I'll subscribe for longer content
I'm excited because then you can further explore these concepts and techniques
This seems like a great change for your channel. 👍
This makes so much sense for you. You've got a lot of knowledge to share about things that deserve more than 60 seconds, I'm very much looking forward to this. But i am a bass player so my opinion probably doesnt count. Ill see myself out
subscribed from shorts, started looking for regular videos some day ago, nice
You are correct Brandon, I am pumped.
Stoked about this! Maybe you could show us stuff on pinch harmonics? Seen so many videos and yet still feel like they don’t explain it well.
Your technique works for me, i spend as much time laughing as i do learning.
Thank you! I need your help!
good idea. i did not even notice that you've been putting out shorts :D
Love the videos but, cool to see the change and hope it goes well.
Once I finally get off the cigarettes I’ll be able to afford 52wk Guitar Player!
I'm gonna be honest, I love your long videos and haven't watched a single one of your short videos simply because I'm from generation X and I have an attention span longer than 2.2 seconds. So I'm glad you've made this decision
I'd love to see some more in depth videos on how to make more interesting chord progressions that explain the theory behind them.
please talk about pick escape, string hopping and more right hand stuff!
I loved the buying a guitar blindfloded video please do more videos like those
Hi Brandon, I followed you since beginning of your rising when you impersonate Davie504
I really think all of your video is helpful and I even saved them to learn.
Currently, I am very busy with my job and hopefully I have enough time later to enter your 52 week guitar player.
Good luck my lad, keep inspiring and teaching!
Will we get new podcast episodes as well? Loved those!
Good for you, lets get the World paying attention for longer than 60 seconds at a time again! Im here for it.
You mean that people used to have attention spans longer than one fuckin minute? Amazing!
Ooo do a video on changing ACUSTIC guitar strings
Creativity comes from limitations. One of the reasons your short-form videos are good is that it forces you to get to the point in the shortest time possible. Increasing the time is good, but I would suggest still having some kind of aggressive time goal (which might depend on the subject).
Super fookin family friendly
Good call
looking forward to your videos
Oh cool, sure, thanks for telling us. Now get going and do it
Hey man. Could you make videos on philosophical and discussion oriented topics? For example, artist studies or more advanced stuff?
Yo so I started a while back, maybe about 7 or 8 months ago, and I struggle with alternating picking. I started off self taught for like, a month and I was and still am picking up guitar pretty quickly. But I also picked up this bad habit of only picking downwards. But alternate picking single strings quickly is a real challenge for me. Hopefully you see this cause your boy needs some help
Make a video series on improv that would be so fuckin helpful omg
Luv ya bro
You could publish “theory” or “technique” video series and once in a while you run a contest where us “the guitar plebe” apply those over a backing track and the best(s) application(s) wins the prize. This would could potentially generate tons of original content and even help the guitar plebe to visualise those teaching points through practical examples.
Sick brother
Great news, I love you Brandon. Leaving now.
one word reply:- "CONGRATULATIONS!"
One thing I’d recommend: I’m currently a beginner high/intermediate beginner level and it’s hard to learn guitar from your shorts when they’re kind of all over the place skill wise. Arrange them based off of skill level in a playlist, please and thank you
Could you do a video where you show the songs that are good for practicing and enhancing the playing
Step by step memorization of the fret board , like “ learn triads” then do this then that ect
5 string sweep practice excercises 🙏
Welcome back to the longer form videos. I much prefer them.
Longer videos are goated
Yeeess more long videos!!!
Play the fooking A minor, dear sir
I would still love to see you cover Seranna by Jason Becker, but I still know you don't have enough frets for it.
Like the hell out of this. Hate shorts and actively avoid them. So, I’ve missed ya!
Are we finally gonna see how you cook your guitars GUITAR CHEF
How often do you plan on posting long-form videos? Whenever they’re ready? Or will you have a specific schedule?
could you talk about improvising over power chords?
The one Canadian who isn’t sorry
I just started playing guitar and I've never touched a guitar before so what kind of an approach should i take? What should i study or practice more? Hopefully I'll start having guitar lessons so that I'll learn something but what should a new beginner do? All i see is chord teachings and all that?
is there finally going to be a video that explains what a guitar is? I haven't found out yet.
Yes.
Cover tri tone substation. I sware I’ve had it explained to me like 3 times and I still don’t get it 😂
Should I memorise the fretboard by learning the scale shapes, CAGED system, brute forcing through all notes, or the combination of each?
yo the 16 positions in minor for 7th drop 2/3 ! the major was so good ! please king or is it in the bible?
it's time to get some guitar lessons from you
Happiness 😊
Please how to learn the f***ing fretboard, visualise it,and use it to create ideas in our heads.
you should make a video about quitting smoking
can you please make a video about an intro to music theory, i need it, please
Thinking in triads, interesting 🤔
Great 👍
I approve of this message. Make video where u play guitar
If this is true, the Algorithm would like a word, Brandon.
I would like to know if increasing speed and bettering hand sync go hand in hand. I just want to play fast
Good, about f***ing time too, UA-cam will be pleased.
Even if it isn't I will be, whenever I watch your 1 minute videos I always think this is fine but imagine if it was 15 times longer.
Less is not more, it's less, science is with me on this one.
So yeah, play that funky music, bring it on Brandon.
Has your guitar collection changed since you last showed it?
How the F shoud I lean the freatboard? I need a good and efficient way for it and I can't find it anywere.
Explain how to use the notes in a scale for improv
*YES*
When it comes to chord changes during solos n things of that nature idk if im capable of learning it but u know what i am capable of?
Buying a membership to 52 week guitar and making it ur problem....
Trust me theirs more than enough frustration to go around and i wanna share it with u and all ur employees
finally!
Brandon ❤
1:38. Yes, his mASSive library of short form content...
Fook yeah
Wow, I guess I'm first here. Enjoy your videos, Brandon.
Wait I’m confused, does that mean the calendar year is one bar long with a 3/4 time signature?
hard as fook
how do you learn scales the best way?
But what about the cigarettes Brandon? What’s about the GOG DAM CIGARETTES!
This is breaking news and good news at that.
This guy's energy screams 'I take Jordan Peterson very seriously'
Arpegio
can you cover how to guitar
long form>shorts any day of the week
As a self-taught wannabe musician, I still don't fully understand how the fook chord progressions work.
deondaddy yes
