just advice for the riparium, several plants that u u used in that video are terrestrial plants, in nature, they love moist soil, thats why they can grow quite well in the water, but if u want a better growth, thriving, have longer lifespan, avoiding root rot for ur plants...put the plant higher... I mean put THE ROOTS only in the water, the CROWN or even the bulb, the stem and leafs must be above water surface, and thats applied to those dollarweed u grow submerged, for best growth put them only the root section not too deep, when ur plant grow perfectly, they can filtering the water well which is good for ur betta, and for more spesific goal, try at least JUST to stable ur ph around 6-7.5, cos its the perfect condition for plants , to absorb nutrient in the water , if the ph rise.. just change the water with a lower ph, or u can use dried cattapang leafs, the lower the ph the better for plants, since u have fish so the ideal PH for plant and fishes to live together is 6 - 7.5
Dicephalous 90 thanks for the tip! I ended up taking out the dollar weed since I wasn’t liking the look of it. Had a small issue with the philodendron at first but after placing it higher up, all was fine again. The plants are doing really well now, especially the wandering Jew, which I’ve NEVER had luck with as a potted plant. There’s enough growth now that I could even take clippings and start another riparium!
kittenjewel101 you just need to leave enough space between the surface of the water and the top of the tank. There’s no way a betta could jump this high. If I filled a tank up to even an inch below the top of the tank I would definitely have a lid on it.
Yea the tank is nice. When you started with a spider i thought i was going to see a terrible tank but no. I have a Betta tank and at first i lost two from over feeding. It hurts when my fish die. I have one video i really have to make more. Good video, good luck, and good bye thanks.
i kept a black widow as a young teenager. I had her for 2 years. She got comfortable with me and would be active in her enclosure but if someone else came into the room she would hide. We let her go under our she'd when I moved out.
I squeezed out as much dirty media from my first tank and used the sponge from the sponge filter to soak up all that gunk so that the bacteria could inhabit that. Also I think adding all the plants helped too. I just used the water to get as much bacteria as I possibly could haha
An SB it actually does quite well in the water! I don't have it submerged in it, just the roots are planted in the containers and whatever trails off ends up growing roots in the water. The light keeps the leaves wanting to grow up so that part stays in the air. I actually recently rearranged this tank and the wandering jew seems to have done the best so far in terms of growth...only crappy thing is their leaves are so fragile and crush or break off with the tiniest of jostling
There's like 2 stems left...I think it's dead haha! It's ok though, I added some peace lilies and I'll let those take over the fern's spot. Ugh, REALLY wanted that fern too!!
Michael Aguirre originally just an LED bulb attached to the side of the tank...the aluminum adapters that Home Depot sells. But now it’s just by a poorly/moderately lit window. Some of the plants are doing better than others. I really want to revamp the tank soon to save the remaining plants I have left. Stay tuned for a video!
TurtleTrader I never intentionally overfed him. He would keep stealing the other fish’s food, hence why I put the new betta in his own tank to avoid any chance of him overfeeding. Thanks for the comment about the tank, unfortunately most of the plants died off...I’m so bad with plants lol

Both the tanks turned out great, LOVE IT !!!
actual ARK thanks! Just hoping the fern doesn't die!! Only been a few days and it's not looking too good haha, I've never had luck with ferns
❤️
Why would you want to keep a deadly spider?
Very cool, thanks for sharing!
Have you quit UA-cam?
How do u keep the betta from jumping im to scared to not have a safety net ive lost a betta that way

Lauryn Hudgins that's awesome! So far mine hasn't done much, just made a web out in the open and currently waiting for food haha
water dosent holf much bacteria so you cant cycle a tank with other tank water

Is the wandering Jew rotting in the water? I wouldn't have thought it would be ok so deep into your aquarium.

did the fern live?

Sticky Feets What lighting did you use over it?

Your tank looks great, but please stop over-feeding your fish.
