It's not wise that after 10 years of Glazers messing up Man United u expect INEOS to clear that mess 5 minutes after they have come in and had only one transfer window and their chosen man Amorim has been at the club a few seconds 😂😂 Man United fans want things to click over night.. how long did Klopp take create the current liverpool squad..not less than 3 years.. glazer messed Casemiro, mount, antony, eriksen transfers..no one wants to buy them at a good price..nd we are going to blame INEOS for the loss who hv not had a season here..

6:47 "Exactly! I've been saying this for years. Too many fans are obsessed with tradition, idolizing the Class of '92 and the Busby Babes, and delusionally believing we can replicate that success with a new batch of kids. It's so clear that the best signings are usually experienced and between 23 and 27 years old, yet our fans constantly push for the club to sign under-21s or promote academy players. They seem to think being a Manchester United academy player automatically makes someone a 'wonderkid.' That said, I think people are finally starting to wake up

Just a few of my thoughts
    1. Kambwala: He was told there were alot of defenders and him getting playing time would be an issue. We have six defenders now (Maguire, De Ligt, Evans, Martinez, Lindelöf, Yoro), all playing/fighting for two roles as CBs (in the previous system where we played primarily a back 4). And mind you defence was not per se an issue for E.T.H because when he was fired, Onana had the most clean sheets in the Prem. (Yes I know we suffered a heavy losses to Liverpool, but they were just more clinical. According to Xg Philosophy, United had an xG of 1.52 to Liverpool's xG of 1.50. The Tottenham loss was unfortunate, mainly because of a Red Card that was later rescinded).
    2. Alvaro Fernandez: He was sold, i presume was because of the same reason as Kambwala, play-time. The doctors assured the manger at the time that both Shaw(who actually got some game time during the Euros) and Malacia(who was not good but decent in his 1st season at United) would soon be fit and they had to let him go and this was also the reason why Reguilon was let go, because the physio assured the manager that Shaw and Malacia would be fine in the beginning of they year, despite it not actually happening. Either way, the positive is that there is a buy back clause(just as there is one for Kambwala) in his contract and also a 30% sell on clause so if he becomes a great player and is sold for an extravagant fee(just as Benfica have managed to do in the past with the likes of Enzo, Joao Felix) United will still get to pocket some money.
    3. Casemiro: He was supposed to be sold to Saudi but i believe no concrete offers came along. And towards the end of last season he was being benched in favor of Amrabat in that Dm role. There were even reports/rumors that he faked an injury in the Fa cup final because he knew beforehand that E.T.H was going to play with Amrabat who was actually playing some good football towards the end of last season. (Also side note: Case and Rashford were SOME of the player who never said anything about E.T.H after he was sacked and in Amorim's 1st training session, him and Rashford were quick to "praise" his training session not knowing that they would later be dropped). Fast forward this season, before the Fenerbahçe match, Amrabat praised E.T.H and said the reason Man United did not go for him was mainly because of Jason Wilcox. So in theory the idea (probably) was Ugarte and Amrabat being rotated as CDMs.
    4. Eriksen: I believe Eriksen was being just a placeholder for Toby Collyer who as recent reports suggested, was very much loved by E.T.H. Some reports went as far as to say his physicality/physical floor in training was higher than that of even Bruno Fernandes. However despite this, Eriksen was also the best United player during the season(ironically) before E.T.H was sacked.
    5. Mount: According to stats he is one of the most intelligent and best, when it comes to Pressing in the premier league. If only he could stay fit. The same goes for Luke Shaw who i believe if he is fit is a extremely good player and one of the best if not the best Left Back in the Premier League.
    6. Antony: I believe, He is a really good footballer and he just lacks confidence. From my observation, the only attribute he needs to work on is his decision making. As for the lack of confidence part, I think it stems out from him having so much pressure because he was bought for a highly, unjust price tag (which is not the managers fault but rather the person who carried out the transfers). There were reports recently that Klopp(Yes Liverpool's former manager) considered bring in Antony to replace SALAH. Yes you had that right, That's how much Antony's potential was.
    But that is that.
And as far as Amorim goes , lets just say he has a lot on his plate. How he manages to deal with this, will actually end up being The defining moment in his managerial career.

    • @richardhp77
      @richardhp77 7 днів тому +1

Anthony is clearly playing below his abilities due to confidence, I think that's clear. But when you say "the only attribute he needs to work on is his decision making" you say that as if it's something that can magically be improved. In theory yes, good coaching can improve things like that but realistically he's not shown in the time he's been there that he can adapt, take on new ideas, and develop. You have to also look at trajectory because that tells you something about the inherent characteristics of the player.
Some players just have more potential because they are intelligent enough or have the composure or self-awareness to actually take on board coaching and incorporate it into their game. Other players will take much longer to take on board certain ideas and will adapt more slowly because they are just not as good. So if it takes Anthony 3-4 seasons to figure out that he shouldn't ALWAYS cut inside, then his ceiling as a player is much lower than someone who can take that feedback on and implement it within 1 season. Because the player that can adapt their game inside a season can then be coached on other ideas and by the time Anthony has figured out one simple idea, another player has taken on board 5-6 new ideas and is playing at a much higher level.
If you've ever done any teaching, or managed juniors at work or had any experience in coaching and leadership you will know some people just have less capacity to learn and fix mistakes than others.

    • @jamesvictor6682
      @jamesvictor6682 7 днів тому +3

@@richardhp77 Have you ever thought about it this way,,, maybe he "cuts inside" (always, as you put it) because its an instruction from the manager whom actually spends, sometimes several hours a day with him in training and has probably seen his skillset and what his strengths and weaknesses are, thus have decided its best to give them the instruction to do this. If he wasn't listening he would have probably been dropped or even loaned out/sold or received the same Treatment Rashford is receiving under Amorim.
And also when i meant decision making, I meant that in some situations he shoots instead of passing to his teammate who may be in a better position to score or create a bigger chance (and sometimes this shot/opportunity end up being a wasted chance) or sometimes instead of trying to take on 2 players at once he should rather pass it back to one of his teammates to recycle the ball because it is much safer. And as Amorim himself said, Decision making can't be taught but it can only be improved on by gaining experience.

One among the core issue is the lack of direction among ownership , from mou to ole to eth every one of them have build a squad which relies on transitions again this is not because they are bad coach or anything its mainly because from mourinho onwards thats what the players suited so they went with it and now we are taking a complete 180 and is going for possession creating chances through patterns which is gonna take time abd be costly .. given man UTDs ffp situation that is stupid, we should have gone with a manager who is better at utilizing transitionary moments, just because city is going after someone that doesnt make that a suite for united

Remember our club was run by an accountant for a little longer than a decade. There are factors at play that we don't understand that may make selling players less appealing. Like asset depreciation and sell-on clauses. If United management knew they would never sell, they wouldn't care if the players wages are too high. We see players as tradable goods with current value. United sees players as assets impacting their books.

Nah, Your suggestions of signing proven players will NOT work because it has DIDN'T work before. The problem is fans are forgetful.
This whole idea that we only sign young unproven players is a massive lie...Under the glazers we signed many proven players AND they all failed. We signed zlatan, pogba, ronaldo, maguire, lukaku, cavani, sancho, falcao, di maria etc AND we still didnt win anything substantial. We qualify for the CL playing horrible football and we think we are making progress only to fail the following season.
This season is the first time I think we have made good signings. Yoro is technically miles ahead of kwambala. We just need to give them time. When we signed ugarte every didnt rate him...but we now see that in the right system he is a game changer. We need to do more of the type of signings we have done.
We should NEVER sign a player beyond 50 or 60m max anymore. They are never worth it. Under the glazers we spent a lot of money doing that and things remained very bad. We need to do exactly what we have done recently...sign good young players cheaply AND give them time to integrate. We need to play well FIRST and then win things second. We have scumbagged trophies before and it hasnt worked. Its not sustainable at all and it leaves us with players on huge wages who we cant sell.

The last five years has been nothing more than a complete disaster class. 2019 we bought Maguire, Wan-Bissaka and James together with Bruno and Ighalo in January 2020. Yes we did finish 3rd, however in the long term we weren't going to push for the Premier League title with them. Lockdown football transfers is one of the worst transfers I can remember. Equally bad as the 2015 window. Cavani was signed to replace Ighalo but became a huge asset when Martial was still injured, Telles was never going to replace Shaw, Amad and Pellistri were raw at that time and Donny was a pointless signing since we signed Bruno 6 months earlier and Pogba was still at the club. 2021 we finally got Sancho after 2 years of waiting, signed Varane to pair up with Maguire and the return of Ronaldo and many thought we could push for the title but reality hit us hard. Not only we're far away from the Premier League title, we neglected the midfield for so long that every team outplay us. Our season died when relegation fodder Watford beat us 4-1 and it was the end of Ole. Rangnick couldn't do anything to steady the ship because the players gave up. The years under Eggman Pagan was an absolute disaster. Poor signings, poor planning and abandoning his system for Bruno and Rashford. He should have been sacked last year but Jim 🐀 and Ineos kept him far too long. I have no faith in Ineos ever since they didn't sack Eggman Pagan after the FA Cup win and gave Bruno Fernandes an undeserving new deal when they should have sold him to Saudi. We need investments in January otherwise Amorim won't last till the end of this season. Years of shocking squad building and incompetence from top to bottom has come to this. We're in a relegation battle so get use to this for the second half of the season. We're screwed.

i dont think they wanted to keep casemiro and eriksen guy. i also think they couldn't sell shaw with a gun held to their head. unfortunately, i think they finding it hard to sell since we were seen as a joke in the market for the past few years. man everton wanted us to buy jarred for 70M, what a joke. i think they did a few things right. but if they really trying to fix us just in the market, yeah its long.
we wont be able to sell and buy shrewdly overnight. and about the yoro deal, madrid can buy for 20M because they just got off winning la liga and ucl. and they madrid. we had to offer more to make him come. the ugarte deal was a bit overpriced imo,
also, i think they once came out saying they dont need to buy a lb and sold alvaro in the same breath. which for the life of me couldn't understand, its clearly hindering us now. the lb situation is dumb, everyone saw how unbalanced it could leave us

I jus dnt understand how most of squad has declined so much under Ten Hag, players considered deadwood (Evans doesnt count coz he shouldn't have been signed to begin with) were genuine options for the squad and then suddenly they became injury prone and forgot how to play football. The fanbase keeps saying he won us silverware but other than Moses, Ten Hag has left us in the worst state of any of our sacked managers. From what i understand, we've been fucked by wage bills and stupid buys like antony and casemiro (not to mention almost every transfer we've done before them).
It's added up, forgetting to mention the dividend payments, debts and lack of UCL qualifying, we are broke because PSR won't let us spend anything.
Outside of that i genuinely dont know why or how we havent found a strategy to circumvent PSR or at least find some good players for cheap.
About Ten Hag, I now see how awful he is after backing him for so long during last season. He was truly out of his depth and he didn't know what he was doing. You could see he had no idea of what to do with his team. His transfer decision, ins and outs have set us back a few years, and we'll be struggling to find a buyer for Rashford and Antony, we're so deep in this grave that he's dug (and glazers) we won't see true success for a very long time if we don't get it right soon.

    1. Ruben Amorim: Managed Sporting CP and Braga, prominent clubs in Portugal but not of Manchester United’s global profile.
    2. Erik ten Hag: Managed Ajax, a historic club with significant European success but operating in the less competitive Dutch league.
    3. Ralf Rangnick: Managed RB Leipzig and Schalke 04, both respected in Germany, but neither have the global reputation or history of Manchester United.
    4. Michael Carrick: No prior managerial experience; he stepped in as a caretaker directly from the Manchester United coaching team.
    5. Ole Gunnar Solskjær: Managed Molde FK and Cardiff City, neither of which are in the top tier of European football.

A competent manager-let alone a great one-knows how to bring out the best in every player. The current squad at Manchester United isn’t going to change overnight, so it’s time to work with what’s available and deliver results. If victory isn’t possible, at least secure a draw. As a lifelong Manchester United fan who watches every game, it’s clear that constant player rotation creates chaos and undermines any sense of structure or cohesion on the pitch.

The trophy saved his job otherwise he was a goner fosure, and I kinda don’t regret not giving him a chance bcz we got Amorim and he blew his 2nd chance. The signings eth made were under the our clown board (we’re a bit better now) from now on we need to buy players within the age of 22-27 who’re experienced and going into their prime we need to get better NOW and then in the future we can look at younger players, that’s why when we’re linked to likes of Jobe, Rigg, Kerkez, etc. I wouldn’t go for them I’d rather go for Theo, ederson, Simons, etc

Ineos haven't done any better in the last 1 year, letting the squad play without a left back, extending & sacking eth, and hiring amorim, all these cost 20+ mil, scrooge level of cost cutting, questionable transfers!
If these decisions were made by a foreign oil rich owner, the british media and fanbase would be all over it but since it was done by a supposedly boyhood manchester united, it's all fine for some people
Ronaldo's analogy of aquarium is weird but the essence of his point is spot on...at least 15 of our players need to be kicked out and replaced by professional footballers before we'll good...

The issue lies not with the players, who are all top-class talents, but with how they are utilized-much like pawns in a chess game, their effectiveness depends on strategic deployment. The real problem? The managers. United just haven't found the right manager plain and simple. All these excuses about the owners being to blame needs to stop. The owners are bringing in the managers that the fans want, backing them and giving them time which is all you can ask for. Everyone just thinks that because all the managers have "failed" that it cant be a manager issue but they haven't failed. Multiple top 4 finishes and a bunch of trophies isn't failure. Especially when you have maybe the top two managers of this generation to compete with and one has unlimited funds. United aren't guaranteed league and champions league titles. It takes a very very special manager to win those trophies and they haven't found him yet. Liverpool were the greatest ever English club up until the 90's. Then they went from Souness to Evans to Houlier to Benitez to Hogson to Dalglish to Rogers and then finally to Klopp where they found their man. The other managers pre Klopp weren't considered failures. They also had multiple top 4 finishes and won a lot of trophies. Benitez even got a CL. But they were competing with Wenger, Ferguson, prime Jose Mourinho, Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola so success is not guaranteed with those kids of managers as your competition just like United managers were not guaranteed it when they competed with Klopp and Pep. So far they have had Moyes who wasn't fit to lace sir Alex's boots. Van Gaal and Moutinho who were past their best. Then Ole who's only PL experience was relegating Cardiff and Ten Hag who looked promising at Ajax but that was never guaranteed to translate over to the Premier League and it didn't. So they just need to keep searching for the right manager who can come in and fix all the footballing issues. The stuff upstairs has nothing to do with what goes happens on the pitch. Most of the people United fan's think are at fault for the players under performing, I bet those players wouldn't even recognize them if they walked past them on the street.

Casemiro is a complete liability. Wouldn’t even have him in the squad

@@AtlantisFootball how could he be such a liability when every single time he has come on as of recent, we have improved?
why has the Bruno/Mainoo + Ugarte pivot failed to ever be as dominant as the Ugarte & Casemiro pivot
agenda aside, it's very obvious that we consistently have more control in our midfield when Casemiro is in it

Those "young players" are not worth 35 million put together. They will leave on frees and Yanited will spaff more money on bad players.

Not really a wing back. Would prefer him but he isn’t as ideal as Alvaro Fernandez. Needs a loan really

United half to stop signing half players. Players who can do half a job then signing a player to do the other half

@@chimeziegreat9818 bro I’ve been saying this for the last 6 months 😭😭😭 Ashworth probably got paid at least a mil during his time to tell them to keep ten Hag and then get Southgate. I’m so underpaid it’s unreal 😭
