First, if the Traveller arrived in Halo's universe would it empower John and/or the other Spartans? If so, how much of a difference would the Light make, and what would the likely differences be?
This is one of my favorite channels, and I enjoy learning so much about Halo Lore even though I never got into the games as a kid. So many of these videos touch on the Ancient humans destroying Forerunner planets in order to stop the flood, and the Forerunners not understanding and attacking the humans in retaliation for what, to them looked like an unprovoked atrocity. Is there an explanation somewhere in the lore, though, of why the ancient humans weren't able to communicate with the Forerunners about what was going on with the flood and why they were creating the 'fire break'? Did they not have time? Did they not have any sort of communication or dialouge with the Forerunners? Did they try to and the Forerunners dismissed it? I'm curious what the lore is behind that misunderstanding, since none of the videos I've seen on this or any other channel seem explain how that misunderstanding came about, only that it happened. And it has always seemed so odd to me that there wasn't apparently anything that amounted to "hey, there's a deadly unstoppable parasite invading your space, we need to glass your planet."

Seems like humanity could have used ancient versions of Nova bombs to destroy Forerunner worlds IF the Flood invaded too, which would have the same effect as a "Fire break" but without the pre-emptiveness, which might have made the Forerunners less angry. Also, how effective would a "Fire break" even be if ancient human ships were even more advanced in their slipspace capabilities than modern humans? It seems like the spread would be too difficult to control. And why the heck don't the Forerunners, incredibly advanced "keepers of the Mantle", not have a single ambadassor or spy amongst the ranks of the second most technologically advanced society in the galaxy that could have warned them about the Flood before the conflict with the humans? Very little about it makes sense and the only way I think it could is if the human+sanshyuum/flood+forerunner war took place over only a few weeks, which seems a bit unlikely but potentially plausible.
Love your videos! One thing I've always been curious about with the ancient history was why didn't the ancient humans try to contact the Forerunners to tell them about the Flood, instead just choosing to destroy their worlds? It seems really REALLY dumb. What did they expect was going to happen when they did that? They didn't even send the Forerunners a message like, "Hey we just destroyed one of your planets but seriously it was for a good reason come check out these crazy zombies?" I think if the Humans, San'Shyuum, and the Forerunners all worked together they might have had a chance at permanently wiping out the Flood. Even better, humanity could have planted the ancient equivalent of a Nova bomb on the Forerunner worlds and only destroyed them IF the Flood had managed to get to them, which would have had the same effect as the "fire break" strategy without angering the Forerunners as badly. It just seems like a species as advanced as the Forerunners would have some sort of ambassador or spies among the humans, especially with how obsessed the Forerunners were with the Mantle and their own supremacy.

I gotta say I'd really preferred if the past of the Halo universe had been left foggy instead of the detailed history we've gotten. Sometimes a mystery is better left unsolved.
Ignoring the fact that there is still tons of mystery in ancient history, most notably the Precursors, Pre-Forerunner war Ancient humanity, Pre-Humanity war Ancient Forerunners, the 100+ species that were technologically adept that the Librarian favored, the true purpose of the Flood, the Primordial, the derelict ship that crashed onto 04, and many other mysteries that were introduced. If you have no desire to understand anything of that history in halo then no one can force you to.
I had only played 1 game.. Reach or odst.. But I just watched the whole cutscenes movies then found your channel a week ago. Just got out my USB controller and got mcc to play it from the start.. My gtx 1050 ti is just going to be really stretched thin playing this.. 4K is out of the question.. Let's hope I can play at 1440p. The Xbox 360 is not as graphic-ey as I remember it to be.. You ever wonder what the knives Spartans use are made of? I' mean in reach you can see a spartan stab through another spartan's helmet in an assassination animation. Then in halo 4 you can see Master Chief's knife stab straight through a covenant ship and stop him dead from falling, he's a thousand pounds and that knife didn't break and let chief fall to his death so there's something to be said for that.
If All Precursors came from Milky Way that it means there are still some Precursors alive in Milky Way it can't be that all Precursors came out of Milky Way and created Forerunners there would be some who decided not to leave and live there only and some of them decided to move out of Milky Way . The reason why we don't see alive precursors are that the precursors who are still alive in Milky Way somehow know of Flood and they know if Gravemind came to know about me somehow then it's game over for Whole Universe he doesn't want to take chance and doom whole Universe that's why we don't see him communicate any beings in Universe . I think Forerunners are not bad even UrDidact I think they have learnt their mistake after fighting Flood for 300 yrs and unable to stop them and would have pondered why Precursors said Why we don't deserve Mantle of Responsibility and Humans do because if they had not learnt their lesson they would not have created fail safe protocol to stop Flood and maintain all life forms at all cost even if they have to make their species extinct by launching Halo Array and Die . I think Forerunners are testing Humans whether they they are really capable or deserve Mantle of Responsibility .
