I think it would be way more interesting if the next Halo game would be focused on regular UNSC forces. Fighting Covenant and especially the Flood without shields and being squishy would be way more tense and make for some pretty good co-op.
@@Stealthgato ikr? also not a lot of people know that if it wasn't for the initiative of one ODST(melissa mckay) the flood would've 100% reached earth after the battle in installation 04, the war could've literally ended a lot sooner lol
I would love a full breakdown of the First and Second battle of Earth, including not just the main events surrounding the Ark Portal in Africa, but all known UNSC-Covenant engagements across the globe, such as the battles in the Middle East to locate Chief's crash site, Blue Team's missions in Havanna, that Covenant fruitless treasure hunt in Ohio💀, etc. Maybe in a similar vein as Halo Canon's breakdown of the Battle and fall of Reach
you should honestly do a long video thats all the battles throughout the human covie war theater all the planets/naval battles, seems like no one has done that yet would be a good video!
Nah fr a few days ago, I was doing research on the battle of Earth while developing some of the backstory for the members of my primary Spartan 4 fireteam who was present for the battle of Earth as ODSTs and a Marine
Odst was awesome the mission at the police hq was my favorite bc you got to see firsthand how superior the covenant was to the marines in a larger scale battle
The Covenant may be on Humanity's doorstep, but Humanity won't go quietly into the night. These few weeks are indeed quite eventfully in determining the final outcome of the H-C War. At that time, it may have been hell on Earth, but that's all the more reason to jump down into the thick of it. I look forward to the next installment.
Awe hell. Pun intended. If I remember the song of hell jumpers. It states do not grieve for me. For I am a hell jumper. I will have many fallen foes to keep me company. Thank you installation 00. Some love for halo in these dark days of halo. By your word lore master.
On the topic of this Halo 3 never continued the fighting between covenant, In Halo 2 you have the covenant loyalists which are composed of Brutes, Drones, Jackals, and Grunts. The covenant Separatists are composed of Elites, Hunters, and Grunts. But in Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST the only ally you have from the separatists are the elites . The grunt and hunter allies are no where to be found. And for some reason the hunters join the brutes as well with no in game explanation to this dynamic. This was a very big oversight or plain lazy as to why this happened and if you need outside sources to explain to you why this happened that’s a poor excuse and does not validate the reason.
IIRC, it was because bungie didn't want to confuse players as to who were their allies, so only the elites remained, but I agree, it overall gives a duller experience when compared to halo 2
I would love to get another game at the beginning or the middle on the human covenant war. Also some sort of battle royal PvE with a hundred soldiers dropping as odst and than have to fullfill different objectives while more and more covenant troops overrun the positions. Maybe with a small the hunt flavor that if you fullfill your mission you could evac or help other teams. And if your character dies you have to start a new one and work him up the ranks.
The covenant carrier above earth that was destroyed ever fall to earth like that on reach or was it left in orbit? it struck me that i hadn't thought of what happen to it afterwards...
I like how in the original halos bungie originally intended for the forerunners to be ancient humans, it explains why earth has the massive forunner constructs and a lot of stuff really nicely. I don’t mind the directions 343 went with having forunners be a different species, but it’s just a cool idea with cool implications. Makes more sense as to why the covenant prophets would want to erase humanity once they found out their Gods were humanity.
You know, lore reviews always talk about how totally overmatched humanity was. Yet everytime the Covenant fought humanity it suffered losses to rival humanities losses. And the longer they fought the stronger humanities tools became.
Hey will you be doing a video about the current state of earth, considering the infinite multiplayer trailer shows London under siege by Banished forces and probably the rest of the planet??
Is there any reason other than "Protagonist must be the strongest in the room" Was there any real reason another spartan isn't even necessarily mentioned as being active at any point in the trilogy?
I hate to say anything that can be construed negatively. But I assure you that I say this with very good intentions. I'm starting to believe that you no longer have the love for the mythos series as you once did. There was a certain dedication and style to the older early episodes. Maybe it's just the state of all things halo now.. I do think that you were more focused on alternative elements of the story that added to the main narrative of tge games.. Doesn't take away from my appreciation of your hard work though. Maybe it's cause I played the games recently..
@@gideonevans9717 Yeah the Mark 1 and 2 were feared however the variations after are a shadow of what the Spartan program used to be. I think pampered children is a huge stretch to say. The fact that many spartan recruits died not only during the training period but also during the cybernetic augmentation process is proof of this. There are countless stories about Spartans completing their objective against all odds. ODST's are badasses too, don't get me wrong. But compared to a Spartan?? There is a reason why the Covenant refer to Spartans as "demons" and ODST's as "imps". What is an imp besides being a lower classed demon??
I really liked ODST because you get to understand more about the other UNSC soldiers and how they are organized as opposed to the super soldiers.
