I think he has a wife, idk about kids. What's really sad is a lot of the music he's made is either hard to find or impossible to find. He's got a fair bit more, there's another video a bit like this one with 2 hours and 19 minutes of Chudnow. There's probably that amount or more that he never released at all though :/
I used to listen to this while I worked on assignments in 8th and 9th grade, even did a project where I replicated a Vsauce video using this music! Coming back to this now as a freshman in college... it's nostalgic.
Wow, thanks. Amazing that you were able to track this down. I don't think that "For You" is a new extended version though. It's just the regular one played twice.
My Content True, thanks. Fun fact, I actually haven't listened to my own video in its entirety, so I never noticed that at all. I might have just cut the file so it didn't loop if I had noticed, but I suppose having the album in its unaltered original form is better. Also, I'm not sure why there's a random 82 before the song title. I thought maybe a different title further indicated that it was extended and different, but nope. But Michael from Vsauce told me on Reddit today that Moon Men is just called "130" on his computer, so Jake Chudnow is pretty inconsistent with the naming and renaming of his songs.
I think all of Jake Chudnow's songs are numbered (or at least most of them). I've been uploading some of his songs onto UA-cam since they're not there yet, and a lot of the time it gets a copyright claim from Jake. I guess he's signed up to the content ID system. Anyways, when you get a claim, it tells you the name of the media that was matched, and every time it has a number. For Moon Men, apparently the full name is 130 Moon Men. s28.postimg.org/59lumd2vh/cprt.png Here's what I've been able to find from copyright claims and other sources: 23 Strange White Ocean Motion 24 Half A Dozen Bullets 39 Dream Sequence 82 For You 83 It's Good to be D 101 Lunacy 117 Yo 126 130 Moon Men 131 Sunday 133 145 (Poodles) 152 Moonwalker 162 Ascention 192 202 Hanami 205 Dog 206 Cowboys and Captors 208 Portland 209 Towers and Tourists 212 Bad Lands and Buffalo Trails 213 Pines and Pavement 214 Philadelphia 215 Transition 2 224 Buildings and Bikes 255 All Night

You can hear it pretty much in its entirety (with Kevin talking over it) in FAK 16 starting at 2:41.
Yeah, no, I just heard about it through you. I looked for it on Google for a while but couldn't find anything. There is one possibility though. I have a youtube downloader for the unix terminal that lets you choose from all the different tracks hosted on UA-cam. When I tried to download episode 1 of Mind Field, some of the tracks offered were just the background audio without any voices. Now, I checked, and this isn't the case with any regular video. I guess since UA-cam Red shows high production quality and managed by UA-cam themselves, they're special. So if 126 is used in a new episode of Mind Field, I can get the song. The chances of that are pretty low though. I don't think they even use Jake's songs on that show, they have their own score. Also, here's my best attempt at using Audacity to get Kevin's voice out of the audio from FAK 16: k003.kiwi6.com/hotlink/vmbhz65z1a/126.mp3 Pretty terrible.

I have a rule in music which goes “No matter the presence or absence of lyrics, music will always sound positive or negative” And somehow, some of jake’s music bypasses this rule
The end of “moon men” sounds like what looking at and acid, like sulfuric acid buring through paper and basically buring and charing it but also creating bubble in and slowly expanding it to. Like a growing and bubbling chemical reaction is what im saying, Its beatiful.
Who would’ve thought “what my nervous stomach sounds like” would be one of the best songs in the list. Wish it was on UA-cam though. Can’t find it anywhere
This whole things is awesome!! Thank you for posting I was wondering though, do you know what song was playing at the very start of the Vsauce video "The Science of the Friendzone"?

I’m still on the hunt for a song I sampled in a small video I made for a school project around 10 years ago. The song was on a random UA-cam video that (if I remember correctly) was for “best fails of xxxx year” and it was a very simple track. I remember finding it on Jake’s SoundCloud back then but it’s no longer public
Not meaning to be rude, but I thought that "145 (Poodles)" and "Going Down" had already been released, unless these are slightly different or official versions and I can't tell the difference. Whatever the case, this video is great! I especially like the instrumental of "Moon Men"
Counterblockade As I noted in the description, only a minority of these songs are tracks or versions that haven't been heard before. I just uploaded the whole album when it was discovered, not just for the sake of the exclusive tracks.

I hope that one day Volume 2 will become a reality. Our community has a few people who have dedicated themselves to looking for Jake's stuff, and they haven't found anything of this magnitude ever since. I recognize you as the one who runs the Jake Chudnow Facebook page, is that correct? Have you ever had any contact with Jake? Our top priority is just to be able to speak with him. He's more reclusive than Boards of Canada at the moment.
AMathMonkey (it's me, alt account) Yeah I originally created Jake's FB page as a fan page, and someone from the label for his Shona EP album contacted me about him taking the page under his control. I'm more of just a small moderator on the page now, and Jake has always been largely inactive on his public social media profiles. He used to have a site where you could contact him more directly for serious inquiries at jakechudnow.com but the host has since gone offline and subsequently all websites under it (including my own!) as well. However, the email address Jake used on that site was: "literallymyfullname@gmail.com" You can try emailing him directly through that but he may not even use that address anymore. If you have any more questions feel free to ask, as I've been searching deep in the web for Jake Chudnow… stuff for years now. He's my favorite musician of all time.
@@AMathMonkey Yes, I started the Jake Chudnow FB page, and soon after Jake got in contact and took control of it, which was fine by me because I only started it because he didn't have one. I think you can download all the things here in some places, I think there's a bunch stored in links on reddit (VsauceMusic)
@@Hailfire08 oh woow, thanks for letting me know, I'll check on that
Does anyone know the music from vsauce 1 "The Brachistochrone" video, it plays during the slow-mo shots at 17:56 and 23:38 .Also heard in "How Much Money is LOVE Worth?" ...
Probably unreleased Chudnow.
I watched all the videos i know all of em
I have a rule in music which goes
“No matter the presence or absence of lyrics, music will always sound positive or negative”
And somehow, some of jake’s music bypasses this rule
Still trying to find that one song at the start of the "Is Anything Real" video.
Working on my Bachelor's degree diploma to this :3
It is very good music for concentrating :)
How come are we less than 300 people commenting here? This is great, thank you.
I even have my font as the vsauce font (Alsina Ultrajada) as my default font and when I switch back to the original font on my phone it feels weird
This whole things is awesome!! Thank you for posting
I was wondering though, do you know what song was playing at the very start of the Vsauce video "The Science of the Friendzone"?
Vsauce music is basically universally either something from Audionetwork or Jake Chudnow.
@@Hailfire08 yes but which jake chudnow song is it???
Anyone knows the name of the songs in the new Vsauce 1 video "Which ways is down?" that start at about 16:15 and then 17:50?

This helps me get in flow mod
thank you very much i've been looking for this list a long time ago❤❤
Man, thank you so much for posting this! Just wondering though, is it possible to download these songs seperately, so it's easier to listen to them one by one? Thanks!
Tap Brother #1 No problem! The download link in the description should be for a zip file that contains each mp3 separately. Let me know if it doesn't work for you.
Oh, thank you so much! I appreciate your fast reply as well :)
jake chudnow always has the strangest names for his songs, i love it
now people can be like "yeah my favorite song is Wind Up Metal Robots From Japan"
he rivals Buckethead in that regard
Why does poodles start so creepy
But,what is creepy? Is it a feeling? Or a thing?
What gives you the creeps
Michael Stevens explains this really well he explains how it is a gray area between safety and danger
Insecurity
Its part of the beatles "Revolution 9"
Jake Chudnow so underrated man
I’m still on the hunt for a song I sampled in a small video I made for a school project around 10 years ago. The song was on a random UA-cam video that (if I remember correctly) was for “best fails of xxxx year” and it was a very simple track. I remember finding it on Jake’s SoundCloud back then but it’s no longer public
I'm in search for the song used in Michael's Some Surprising Things.. it starts on 2:33. Does anyone know? :/
Update: It must be from Jake Chudnow. I've searched for a song that starts with D#/Eb key on audionetwork and I still haven't found a match.
I found that song! I can't find a instrumental version of it, but it's still good! m.soundcloud.com/inkylayla/imaginary-sun-with-jake-chudnow
Wow, many thanks m8!
update: a recent video by DONG called "The Leaning Tower of Lire" plays the whole song at the beginning (with Michael's commentary of course)
Ah okay should've read the description before commenting, sorry. Great video nonetheless!
No problem at all; thanks very much for watching and commenting.
I do hw to this. it makes me think big brain things
We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy
I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
We've known each other for so long
Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it
Inside we both know what's been going on
We know the game and we're gonna play it
And if you ask me how I'm feeling
Don't tell me you're too blind to see
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you
Never gonna give, never gonna give
(Give you up)

30:08 this beat is what Micheal uses in most his videos
Or is it?
FINALLY
The most frustrating thing about these is that too few really finish. They just go through their thing twice and they're done. Sudden cutoff and good.
Moon Men.
What genre can I even call this masterpiece
Sauce
Science
hey, whats that deep synthwave song? it has a warbly static note in the background and stuff
Song names are on the upper right corner.
I think jake don't publishes much of thracks because it's original soundtrack of vsauce. And when you know the music it's too distractive
Can you please find "for leah" song that is unreleased?
It doesn't exist anywhere aside from videos - there are extracted versions but the audio quality is understandably poor.
@@Hailfire08 yeah.. Just had a hope if some good sound engineer could extract lossless music from Vsauce videos!
hey what's the holdup? saucey sounds vol. 2 is just what I need rn in my life

Will the other unreleased, Vsauce exclusive tracks be in a Volume 2 album? Has such an album already been released?
However, the email address Jake used on that site was:
"literallymyfullname@gmail.com"
You can try emailing him directly through that but he may not even use that address anymore.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask, as I've been searching deep in the web for Jake Chudnow… stuff for years now.
He's my favorite musician of all time.
good news
@@AMathMonkey Yes, I started the Jake Chudnow FB page, and soon after Jake got in contact and took control of it, which was fine by me because I only started it because he didn't have one. I emailed him once a long time ago and got a couple responses but that's pretty much it. He's a rather private fellow.
@@__nog642 My Vsauce soundtrack vinyls just arrived in the mail earlier this week. 😁 I got in on the preorder last year when it was first announced.

Yo listen to these sweet tunes once again
