Now you are going to hear "The flying voice of John Gary" said a radio announcer in 1967 when I was in Canton, Ohio. I live in Brasil, and I am 90 yars old. Such a great voice has John Gary. I love to hear his musics, mostly when I feal myself on a longing mood.
A genuine three-and-one-half octave range, the best breath control of any singer, a record-holding deep diver, and a world class archer. An amazing man, whose career was doomed by the arrival of the Beatles
The only time I joined a fan club was when I fell in love with John Gary's superb voice. I saw him first as a guest on an afternoon talk show. Think it was Mike Douglas, or Merv Griffin. Can't remember that, but never forgot "the voice", and his way with lyrics.
Thanks for sharing. That sounded like one heck of a show to be at going by the sound of all the folk's energy and appreciation in the room. John Gary was an amazing talent and treasure. I remember hearing him for the first time years ago when my Dad played a record of his singing Unchained Melody. He probably has the best breath control I've ever heard. I've got another record album that has a little biography on it of him and his achievements and talents are amazing. He seems like he was a really good man.

His signature song! He also closed his network show with it! Beautiful

I heard him on iHeart radio. Never heard of him before. Deserved more recognition. Amazing vocals.
Most under-rated singer I’m aware of.
Absolutely brilliant
