- I did a live UA-cam video a few months ago and unboxed the Elvis painting in the background for those who asked about it. I received it from one of my supporters, Ms. Kathyrne Pope. Thanks again, Kathryne; your kindness and consistent support of my channel are greatly appreciated!

First, thank you for mentioning me and the painting. Second, thank you for reacting to this very special song. Hard to imagine anyone but Elvis being able to do this in the middle of a concert. I'm sure there were not a lot of dry eyes in the house. And he and Sherrill matched so beautifully at the final lines. Elvis had such exquisite timing with his song list it makes me wonder what came after this in concert. Thanks again, Brother AB. KP
Thanks again for all your support!
Beautifully sad..Elvis knew how special this was..❤ I miss him so
I’ll always miss him.
Elvis and Sherrill were incredible together on stage - super talented. EP just brings it
Love Elvis❤ thank you!
So beautiful. You can feel the compassion Elvis felt for the couple in the song.
ohhh I have never seen or heard this- and I am old old old 😢😭
I’ve never heard it either. 😮
Beautiful ❤
And many Elvis fans say the same about him. Elvis left us softly.. long before we had a chance to beg him to stay…
Elvis always kept a note pad by his bed because when he would wake up he could write down his thoughts!
Every song he sang in the 70s had something to do with himself- he could picture himself as that person and on stage he WAS that person.
@@stevepomeroy-rockin-pa-realtor That's true! Pieces Of My Life is like his life story.
Elvis always the best, beautiful generous soul
YES SO SAD AND BEUTIFUL AT THE SAME TIME AND MY TEARS ARE STILL FALLING.😢
NOW I NEED TO LISTEN TO ELVIS SING ( TAKE MY HAND PRECIOUS LORD) AND LOST IS SO HARD AND THEN HOW DO GO ALL THRU THERE BELONGINGS.. SO TEARFUL TO GO THRU SOMEONES LIFE MEMORIES. PAYING FORWARD ELVIS WOULD ALWAYS DO. TAKE CARE ALL⚘️⚘️⚘️
I can’t even.
It’s a true story
The guy doing the high tenor voice, singing most of the song is Sherrill Nielsen. He was a member of a vocal backup group that he dubbed Voice.
Made me cry
So beautiful and poignant. Elvis speaking with that soft voice is also music and Sherrrill adding the vocals is lovely. I hadn't heard this one for years, so thank you. It was exquisite. ❤❤❤
Love this song,elvis.
This is such a strong & passionate song! It is definitely a tear jerker. I couldn't even make it through the first couple minutes & the tears were rolling down my face. The way Elvis delivered this song, I could actually see the images of what was going on in my mind. I can't even fully comprehend the thought of laying beside my loved one & waking up to them being gone! I had to break out the issues tissues on this one. This is such a beautiful song & the way Elvis chose to do it is incredible! It painted a vivid picture in my mind & also reminded me of & made me re-live some real life experiences of my own. The only difference is that I watched that moment happen with a couple of my loved ones instead of being asleep by them. I was actually sitting beside them! This is an absolutely heartbreaking song. Another great reaction AB! Elvis knew how to deliver a story & this is just one of the many in his catalog of songs. He just knew how to hit you in the feels whether it was upbeat & fun or, like this one, make the tears flow like a river. He could literally sing anything & the way he delivered it always made you see a vivid picture in your mind of whatever the subject of the song was about. Elvis was one of the very few that could actually make you see the lyrics he was singing. Wow...this was such a powerful song! Loved this reaction!!!
This is a soul breaker omg tears into my heart
I'm 62 and also a fan of Elvis..
Thank you for the reaction..
I've Never heard this song from him.. Brings back so many memories
OMG.. what could Elvis not do?? He was so amazing. First time I've ever heard this... just incredible. .. Thank you for putting this out there. I'm in tears.. ppl need to hear what he was capable of.. he wasn't just singing Hound Dog
Oh, Elvis❤❤❤We luv u forever!
If you haven't, you need to get to his "1968 comback" special. Listen to "trying to get to you"! Copyright junk may come into play, but there are ways around. You definitely want the version where you can watch - not a copy with fixed screen and the song just playing. You won't regret this song. Heck, watch the whole flippin special!!
I have never heard this...and I'm 72! Sadly beautiful!
Wow. I've never heard this.
That's how my mom passed away. The ambulance people told me it was the holy grail of deaths
This is such a sad song & beautifully delivered by Elvis & Sherrill. I very much appreciate your Reactions. You might be feeling like some more Elvis action, about now, & Elvis’ Love Me Tender at the 1970 Las Vegas live concert has plenty of action. I know you have given a Reaction to this song, but I think you will enjoy this particular performance & have a very good time with it ….. some singing & lots of action & the ladies always love this particular performance of Love Me Tender.
Nope can't do it,😢😢😢😢❤
I should not have listened to this. I am still not ready. I’m too broken because softly he slipped away from me
Please accept my most sincere condolences on your loss. Very few people can hit you in the feels like Elvis could - take comfort in the song and know that Elvis felt and shared your sorrow. KP
@@Kathryne0816 no I don’t think Elvis ever suffered the loss of a spouse
Thid sing was played at s friend's funeral today, it was tge Matt Munro version, one of the most beautiful tearjerkers ever written..
😢😢😢
I just googled this song to see who else had covered it and the list is a mile long. I grew up listening to it on an LP but I can’t remember who sang it. It wasn’t Elvis. But I always imagined that it was a man leaving his wife rather than dying. This is much more poignant now that I know the story. 😢
Loved Your Reaction AB, I just checked and realized you had never reacted to:

Eight hours into a recording session that started at 6 p. m. on May 19th, 1971, in Nashville, Elvis is sitting alone at the piano at 2 o'clock in the morning singing one of his favorites: Ivory Joe Hunter's "It's Still Here". He's been playing this for years at home planning to record it Sometime. This night, and understanding the magic of the moment, producer Felton Jarvis turns on the tape machine...
We love Elvis ... and always will
Frank Sinatra has done this song also. Lou Christie did this on The Mike Douglas Show. And for those of you who are familiar with Lou Christie will be pleasantly surprised at his rendition. It shows his true talent.😊❤
Try Mama liked the Roses...
I loved ur reaction please react to his movie scene from king creole new Orleans I know u will love it since u loved crawfish! Thanks
It’s not a true story. Elvis just took a bit of ‘poetic license’ with it. It’s actually a song about a man leaving his wife in a rather cowardly way. Matt Monro sang it beautifully and had a hit with it in the UK.
Of all the Elvis songs to demonstrate his immense talent, you choose this one??? Ridiculous.
AB has reacted to many Elvis songs, not just this one.
@@jennyjorgensen9935 1) You assumed I haven't seen his reactions before.
2) You missed the point.
Yep,hate this song with a passion.
Can you please play trouble from the film King creole please
He didn't have time to get old so he's not an 'older Elvis". He was in his 30's here. He died at age 42. I turned off when you said tat because you started talking over him. Bad reactor.
Terrible song one of his worst if not his worst.
