We desperately need Sonic Adventure to get the Render96 treatment that Mario 64 got. This game is amazing but its age does hold it back. Pretty up the graphics and sound effects, and you’ve got a masterpiece here
Imo Sonic Adventure is the best 3D Sonic when it comes to playing as Sonic himself (not counting the other playable characters) It genuinely feels like a platformer where you can go fast, instead of a game that plays itself most of the time like most modern games. Sonic's speed is just right, he's fast but not so fast you'll lose control, he accelerates at a pace that makes it feel like he has some weight to him, the level design is open and most of the time will let Sonic run freely but with a clear path to the goal, the moments the game take control away from the player are usually short and serve as both spectacle and a way to link two different areas, death pits are usually fair punishment and aren't overused. My only gripe is that those levels are usually pretty short, and the jank can absolutely ruin your experience with the game, but damn, with more polish and longer levels this would've been actually really amazing. It's such a shame you have to deal with so much bs between the levels tho, but I say all this as someone who didn't grow up with this game and is not being a boomer ass "games were better back in the day waaah" type of guy. I've played the hell of boost era Sonic, then played the adventure games and I think SA1 was going in the right direction, I like it better than even SA2 *when it comes to Sonic stages* Really loved the model tho, the Sonic shown in promotional material and prerendered cutscenes was pretty cool, the in-game model looked nothing like that (especially in the og Dreamcast version) but this mod fixes that.
This doesn't quite live up to Render96, but its definitely a cool idea. The model looks best from behind, especially during the idle. The coloring/shading around the front of the model feel off though.
I don’t like how the smile is only on one side of his face and stays there,it’s kind of a little awkward,in most 3d sonic games cutscenes, sonic’s mouth switches from side to side depending on what angle he is seen from, but other than that, the character model looks great!
If you told me, this was just regular Dreamcast footage that’s been upresed I would’ve one hundred percent believed you that’s how good this game holds up… in my head at least
I’ve never wanted ANY video game remake so badly, besides maybe FFVII. But maaan do I want the SA & SA2 REMAKES. I know some people only want remasters, but I NEED TO SEE THESE GAMES IN NEW GEN GRAPHICS.
If This is like the Mario 64 mod then it also needs raytracing. Also, never realized how much the CGI model looks like the one from Heroes, except less flat and shiny as well as having actual textures. I still prefer the DX models.
If there was ever a remake of this game, I wonder if they would still use humans for the overworld, or if they would go with the more recent trend in the franchise and use anthro animal people. And if it did go the human route, would it be more anime like the humans were then? Or would it be more cartoony, like they have seemed to lean into ever since Unleashed?
We should join in gamebanana to make a Render 98 mod of Sonic Adventure but a mod that incluides everything all the characters assets and all that things
@@Sonic_Beyond I'm sorry 😞 please just tell me, maybe if you told me the differences I might be able to see it. I'm not that good with detail sometimes
Liar. Render96 doesnt upscale anything. It replaces the compressed textures with the original uncompressed ones, taken straight from the texture pack CDs used to make the game. As such, Render96 lools amazing. This looks like garbage. And Render96's team even pointed out many of THIS games source textures on their website. To ignore all that and then compare this to that, that's just messed up. This is like all those Finding Nemo mockbusters, but for game restorations.
This is just a concept video I did of if Sonic Adventure got the same treatment and it’s relatively the same honestly. No need to take this so seriously and to say this looks garbage. It’s not like this is an actual project being worked on. I love Render96 so much that I decided to combine that idea with Sonic Adventure. What’s so bad about that?
@@Sonic_Beyond _"Super Mario 64's Render 96 project which is a PC port of the game with upscaled textures"._ That's not true. Don't call their hard work merely an ugly AI "upscale" when they actually went and found the original textures and swapped them out. Which is a lot harder to do with Super Mario 64. Sonic Adventure has a fan-made program that makes swapping out textures easy. Putting in the original textures would be a piece of cake. Anyone could do it. So we finally got Render 98 for Sonic Adventure after Render 96 for Super Mario 64 !
your intro is never going to get old
Of course the best sonic game of all time needs a remake like this
Adventure 2 models aged correctly, i can't see a Render96 treatment for them.
@Santiago den skandinaviske and sa2 didnt really have any CG models used for promotions so, i dont see the point in making a render '01
I don't see the difference, please help
@@NovikNikolovic if you played SA1 dx you'd see the difference

Everything to the rendered cg of 1998 !!

This game needs a remake, splendid graphics and refined gameplay, and NO FUKKIN BOOST
First Mario 64 now sonic adventure keep up the good work sonic beyond and I love the graphics btw
Well, THIS Is Sonic Adventure DX!
Ngl, I wish the Render96 team was actually behind this.
The akaneia model of sonic is perfect for this

Agreed, maybe because Render 96 benefits from Mario 64's fantasy worlds when compared to the more reality-inspired setpieces of Sonic Adventure.
Plus derp eyes. Solid effort tho

Holy chilidogs, the DX model looks pretty similar for the time since it was meant to imitate this one!
Nice vid beyond!!!!!!!!!!!
The DX version of Sonic Adventure sorta does this with some of the character models.
The Egg Carrier looks dope
Render96 from mario 64 into sonic adventure? It must be my birthday
First Render96, now Render98
2:14 Where are you looking, Sonic??
Finally the perfect model
Cool video

This is amazing!!!!!!!!
I would live a sonic acvneutre remake! This look sgreat sonic Beond Thanks for hte great Video
Nice render
Fun fact: sonic adventure will get a remaster for its 25th anniversary
I consider it better than the DX
EXCUSE me! BUT YOU are breaking THE 4th WALL!!!
How?

So the models and textures are HQ + based on the opening video & other promo renders?
Basically yeah
I want to see CGI Adventure Shadow.
😩😩😩😩😩
he looks like Igor from Young Frankenstein with those eyes
Can't unsee that
Yo beyond on time let's go!!
I'm first bro let's go!
So mario 64 gets a render 96 remake, and now sonic adventure gets render 98
Sonic adventure 98
looks like heroes sonic
kinda but not really
the eyes look soulless... otherwise a clean looking model
You forgot Sonic's footprints in the sand
FYI I didn’t make any of these mods
Do sonic adventure in sonic generation but classic sonic as the protagonist
Why is sonic's face cursed?!?!
Make this real please
Render96 doesn't look good ingame, to be honest. But this is fine
Hi
The model isn’t as perfect as Render96 Mario was. It’s eyes are stuck in the same place and it doesn’t carry to the cutscenes.
