I can't confirm if that works fully on real hardware because I haven't fully played it, but can confirm that it did bypass the crashes that would happen is no SRAM is found, but I also discovered that my cartridge has no battery in it (it's either saved on something like FRAM or has no save feature at all but still manages to bypass the crashes). Meaning I don't know how the cartridge I have is made because it is a bootleg from China after all.
