I'm a post frame contractor (1978-present) and this presentation is without a doubt the most impressive I've ever seen. Your workmanship is inspirational. There's a few minor items that I would do differently but they are minor and based on habit and personal experience. But all and all this presentation demonstrates how post frame can produce high quality residential housing. Thank you for your example to our kind of construction.

WOWWW! You guys did an amazing job. I spent half a mill and my house is 3900 sqt in a gated community never again. My house is currently for sale so I'm looking to build out right with my returns. This house is beautiful. I've been looking at the black barndominiums. I can't believe this is a self- built but he showed us all video proof😅 just fantastic!

Beautiful, big, and more affordable. Very nice!!! Coming from the mid west, rain can really mess with your foundation. I'd consider adding gutters and downspouts -- maybe in a rain barrel configuration to help water your lawn..... if it's all net new.
For affordability, it looks like you could phase in building the separate rooms as needed.

    1) How long did it take from start to finish?
    2) Did you already have the land, or did you have to pay extra for that? If so, how much?
    3) At what point was it "move-in ready"?
    4) How much did the family help? It looks like the whole family was a part of the project, and I love that.

Beautiful! Such hard work for one man Thank the Lord your wife worked alone side you! This when I wish more friends and others would come help more like they use to. Your work is so professional: no slackiness in you.

Beautiful home, Remember watching the kids slide video and thought what a fantastic feature for the kids. Great build and 4-car man cave. Last like that you left extra room on the right side of the fire place for more mounts.

Paul, you are a serious jack of all trades! This house is enormous! very well built. Really impressive that you did most of this by yourself! You make this look so easy, you must have been doing this kind of work for a very long time. Love the slide. Hard to imagine that a 6300 sq ft house can be built for 350K, very impressive!

If you hired a builder to build this house it would be 350+ sq ft! So its not a bargain!

Wow, what a great build! I'm awestruck. You and your wife and your support crew did a fantastic job. The slide on the side of the stairs, what a cool touch. Part for simply fun for the kids and I suspect it has a second purpose as a faster exit JIC of a tornado to speed everyone downstairs to the safety shelter (curious how that shaped up) or even to send clothes downstairs to teh laundry (unless sit was upstairs and I duffed that). I suspect the "sweat equity" in that build was no less than an extra what, b/w 75 and $100K? Awesome place.
