Gidday guys, thought you died or stopped travelling 😆.. yes I watched the whole video🥹, to see how ya going. Liked your earlier videos though, clear and concise, no babbling on. Good to see you’re finding your rhythm and figuring things out for yourselves.
Sure power is not required with a tommy.( or any other camper ). Purchase a mains to lithium 12V charger. If you do decide to lay up for a few days, in a Van Park or at the mechanic :( You can just plug in. So your battery will be always full. I've had a Tommy S6X for 3 years now. They are great. Induction cooking is a game changer. I installed a inverter. It has a double power outlet on the farceur under the fridge. In fact a large inverter would fit under the fridge. But cooling it would be difficult. The Mains appliances we take, Westinghouse induction cook top, Small 1 litre kettle, toaster, jaffle/toasty maker and Food Ninja. The Ninja is a luxury and takes up space. But it adds a lot culinary options. When on road for a long time.
Thanks for the tips! Good to know, we might look into a 12v charger in the future. For now, the DCDC / solar blanket is doing well. But as mentioned in your example, if we are parked up somewhere for a few days (and there is not enough sun), it would be handy to have a backup power supply!
No worries! Luckily, this has only happened once or twice! When I open the gull wing (on the Tommy Camper) it creates a shelter above the kitchen, so no worries there. I also have the awning to put out if it is really bad. But we try and travel with the weather to avoid the rain! :) I’m posting a video tomorrow which mentions this so stay tuned!
