I'm not surprised that you've changed campers. I think a reason for change video would be very beneficial. What you liked, didn't like about your previous camper & any improvements to it that would make it better.
Hi George, What is the actual measurement from the end of the bed to the back of the canopy? Like the length of the bench chair, and is it comfortable for 2 people to sit on? Cheers
Hello! We've sold our setup so couldn't tell you exactly but here are some measurements on the Tommy website: www.tommycampers.com.au/camper-s6x - For exact measurements, I would reach out to Tommy directly and say that George & Rach sent you there :) My partner (Rach) and I could both sit on the seat comfortably to eat dinner or something like that, so it's wide enough on the S6 model. The S4 model is considerable smaller, so wouldn't be sure on that one. The seat was comfortable for an hour or so, but any more time I would prefer to sit in the ute if I'm editing or something like that. Happy travels!
what's the measurements of door width and height?. I'm looking at getting a s6x with no interior so empty canopy and want to know if I can put a my upright fridge in, its 841 high and that way i can work out my custom kitchen arrangements. cheers
We have sold our Tommy Camper now so couldn't tell you! Reach out to Tommy Campers directly to ask (let them know you watched this video 😂). What sort of custom kitchen arrangement are you going for? The Tommy kitchen was amazing for us. Cheers.
Hi George, Thanks for your introduction to your Tommy Camper. I noticed that you have GVM upgrade and a 2 inch lift on the car. Would you be able to tell me the total height of car with camper on. Thanks heaps and wishing you safe and happy travels, Best Regards, Kurt
Thanks! Similar process, the Tommy Camper legs look well built too. We will probably leave the Tommy Camper on our tray 99% of the time because the setup of popping the roof will be quicker than trying to take it off
Hey, no worries! Thanks for watching! They start from about 20k, depending on the model and extras the price can vary. You can build one here which will give more accurate pricing tommycampers.com.au/
A great walk around thanks. You touched on the weights but any chance of what it actually came in at fully loaded. I’m trying to find out if I can make it work on my old Patrol. I’d also be very interested in why the change over. I’m also looking at the Trayon mainly because they say they are the lightest. Was there much of a difference in the weights between the two?
No worries, thanks! I went into more detail in this video: ua-cam.com/video/sHsmcxxtE2E/v-deo.htmlsi=Y8Zx3nHXM4ZlGXgv In terms of weights, they are very similar. The S6 Tommy is about 350kg dry. By the time you fully load both campers you will be looking at 500-600kgs so it soon adds up! We would be over our GVM if we didn’t have a GVM upgrade. Both great campers, it really depends on what style of travelling you do (one night or multiple nights), set up time and if you want your kitchen indoors or outdoors.
Hello! Thanks for watching! Here is a video running through why we changed campers in a bit more detail: ua-cam.com/video/4yAAoHT0mRg/v-deo.html

Hey! Here is the 'why' video: ua-cam.com/video/4yAAoHT0mRg/v-deo.html :)
This is a GREAT set up guys!! I love the sitting area inside, it would be super useful to have meals if is raining!
Thank you!! Yeah it’s really useful ☺️
Looks great, excited to see the up coming adventures
thanks!
Loveeee the Tommy so much :) great video!
Same here :) Thanks!
I love the latches, they look great
Thanks mate!
With the kitchen roll, I just crush the roll BEFORE putting it on the roller bar and this prevents the roll from such a free flowing escape.
Great tip! I’ve also seen someone use an elastic band around the roll as another idea! Thanks for sharing :)
What a great Video☺️
Thanks! ☺️

Hey Kurt, no worries - the Ute with the camper on is about 2.5m (with the camper closed). Cheers, George
@@GeorgeSoanThank you George, very much appreciated! Save travels.
@@k452t no worries! Thanks. Let me know if you have any other questions about the Tommy! It will be featured in upcoming videos :)
Nice upgrade ... is the camper easier to take off compared to the old camper or is taking it off too hard so not an option ?
