Rumors of this track been laid down with his Zep band mates before Bonzo dying. Sound has Zep tapestry without a doubt.....guitar track and drums.....we will never know right.....

Ex-Rainbow drummer Cozy Powell handled drums on "Slow Dancer" Cozy had way more power and charisma than Phil according to Robert. I love this song. One of those you have to CRANK!
He played it pretty good live with plant to right he's not a.power hitter he just plays with more complexity than cozy couldn't do. Robert didn't reject him he already had cozy playing demos for him he already knew cozy but when he was to join Atlantic records Vp told plant it would be a good idea to join with Collins . He was more a better fit then cozy Collins has much more experience at recording records than cozy did . Collins is still ranked a better drummer than cozy anyway listen to his early stuff it's very drum complex time signature changes but his techniques go into fusion jazz. The man was asked by the Who to play with them but Collins couldn't cause of his schedule. Townshend knew he can do it he did a few albums with Phil . The man is a wizz on thoooose drums . Rumors that Robert rejected him is false what u read is twisted words. Robert wanted a dynamic drummer who can understand the whole peice and make it sound great . That's where Phil came in cause hes great at that he can make the Drums sound good without over doin it. The man was playing drumswith thin Lizzy along Brian downey .1976 album . You can hear Phil doin his thang. He so underated as a drummer .
