I keep trying not to overhype myself but man the Thunder are so good. Like if they have a good 1st round series with an exit I'd be okay with it but they could go far
Can’t overlook how good of a coach they have! He’s developed a great culture that just seems perfect for this group. They seem confident and mature for their age
The Thunder are my GOATS. The hungriest young team in the league with much to prove. The stats show it, and the team mindset shows it. These guys are for real.
With all their 1st round picks in the upcoming 6 NBA Drafts, they will need to let go of some of their young talent at some point. The scary thing is that will only make them stronger. Eg Trading Giddy and some picks for Markkanen. Imagine if they win a championship in the next 1-3 years and some ageing superstars pick the Thunder in free agency under veteran minimum contracts. Especially those desparate for a chip. It's still so hard for small market teams but the Bucks have shown it's possible. Thunder up!
i see what you’re saying but i dont think were going to pull the bag on anyone tbh. we’re going to have to pay chet, and jdub the same year and shai the year after. as a “small market” team, we probably won’t land another star unless we draft him.
Oh nooo. They get to add someone to replace poku and tre Mann what will okc DO??? Straight up a laughable talking point outside of Isaiah joe and Cason Wallace everyone on the bench could be replaced and we would be better 😊off
OKC have a big three in SGA, Chet Holmgren, and Jalen Williams. They could finish with a 2 or 3 seed at best come playoff time if they can all stay and be at full strength.
Welp if you don't pay attention or guard their other guys then Jalen Williams could drop 20-35+ points, same goes for Chet could easily do what JDub does offensively both are a threat as well as menace defensively their shooting/effiency is off the charts then Giddey could catch you off guard and score buckets but also drop a triple double plus if you leave him open this time he'll make those shots while Lu Dort could drop 19-25+ points if he heats up cannot count out their sixth man in Isaiah Joe who's a flame thrower on threes lastly wallace is their two-way swiss army knife. OKC has a deep bench like the amount of depth they got around Shai, Kenrich Williams is the ultimate glue guy that hustles, you got a 3 and D guy in Wiggins to Jaylin whose a stretch back up big that can pass who does the dirty work for the team too along with a playmaking savant in Micic. Technically it's a pick ur poison type of shit the Thunder are very flexible in playstyles having a diverse pool of players that are all versatile in their respective positions, they even got wildcards that dont even play much from Poku, Mann, Sarr & Dieng heck they got reserve shooters in Waters, Bertans & Johnson
So I see a true fan of my thunder who actually watches the games. We are loaded. I think adding a back up big that can defend and rebound ( which is a weak point for the Thunder) whether that’s via trade or market buy in would really put us over the top.
@@reobae Im expecting Mann, Poku & Bertans to get traded before the deadline since they're all expiring contracts soon, Presti did this last year when he got rid of Bazley to get Saric in return for their late playoff push hopefully we could add a much needed piece that crash the boards and get to them rebounds.
The thunder don’t need to do a goddamn thing. And all you fake thunder fans that say they need to be trading people just need to stop talking. Go back to being a rockets fan.
right? no way we can trade for a 4th star, pay jdub and chet, and then shai the year after. just can’t afford that. presti isn’t going to mess up our young development or cap space for someone who could not pan out.
@@Goatlikeitornot while I agree and want Drummond( we have assets and plenty picks to throw in) we could go for borderline smaller names like a Thomas Bryant or Moses brown just to give an edge on rebounding. Plus Thomas Bryant can actually shoot 3’s but Drummond would put us over the top for sure as long as we can keep bench pieces of Cason Wallace, Isiah Joe, Kentish Williams, and Wiggins. I feel like every lone else like Bertans, tre Mann, dieng, and micic ( would hate to see him go. Great vet pg and facilitator who was just a euro league mvp a season or two ago) could be shopped in a deal with picks for Drummond. If any starter would be traded Giddey could be the odd man out but his shooting has improved from the beginning of the season since the off court case has wrapped. Plus his playmaking and ball IQ is huge .
While true if they can trade for or buyout market another big to help rebound it would definitely put us over the top. Andre Drummond would be nice maybe even a big that’s not a borderline star like a Moses brown or Thomas Bryant would be huge

Agreed, only thing they could do is to trade for a cheap good rebounder this trade deadline like Drummond.

The reason that the Thunder hold up to elite teams are… they aren’t really elite. Thunder are the elite team in basketball. The world is on notice
Can't rebound. At bottom of league in total rebounds.
They willingly sacrifice the rebound advantage to have an advantage in virtually all other categories.

Trade Kenrich, Poku, Lindy and 2 first round picks for Lauri Markkanen
no not kenrich his a hustle player and decent 3 point shooter, id say tre man
I don’t think anyone is afraid of them. The only thing I’d be afraid of is the refs bc SGA gets all the calls

Lol SGA doesn't get half the calls he should? You must not watch okc
He has the most drives per game in the league with 8 FTA per game. Seems reasonable to me. 2 Less per game than last year.
