#3dprinting #Creality #review
Black might not focus well, but it’s really good for seeing layer lines, and see how well these printers actually print. Please don’t stop using it :)
I have the ender 3 v2 plus. Is my first and only printer. It’s been a fantastic learning experience on how to actually get it working good. Very frustrating at times and very rewarding when it goes well. I think I’ve got mine in a good place right now. Prints well with only brim and good z seam quality. Stringing is something I need to figure out how to fix I’ve got a dryer and an enclosure to keep temp consistent but still stringing a lot.
I gave up on the tinkering with the Ender 3, bought a Bambu P1S, and I am extremely happy. I am picking up another this weekend, as my wife has taken mine to use for her crafting. It is THAT easy to use.
As far as the Neptune series of printers go I present you with my own story: I bought the 4 max in April of this year and started pumping out mark 85 pieces. I was also printing out smaller print in place pieces as gifts. The printer lasted about 3 months before going bonkers. I agree with your thoughts on klipper. I hate it personally. I got in touch with elegoo support and after exchanging several emails the sent me a free brand new motherboard. I love elegoo. I still dream about a K1max though.
Great video Franky. I have 4 printers and my favorite by far is my k1. I rooted mine and with the ability to use mainsail and all the available options, it is an amazing printer. I find it to be the most reliable printer as well. I have way over 1000 hours and Creality has been great. I broke my front door by mistake and they sent me a replacement right away. So I can't complain.
Love ya Frank but I'm never buying Creality again. When they work they're fine and when they don't it's aggravating. I've been working on my K1 all week because it got a bad clog. Had to replace the motor, heat block and one of the tension cable plates because that broke somehow. Then I was getting a weird line in the center of the prints because the belt tension is off. Tried updating the firmware and it just bricked the whole printer. Meanwhile I've had like 10 Elegoo 3 Pros and a P1P for almost a year and rarely had any issues with them. I just don't trust Creality anymore.
Same place I'm at. My four bambu printers (2 A1s, 2 A1 minis) have been reliable workhorses since the day I got them.
I'm with you as well. My KE is all over the place, some days it works, others it fights me. I've replaced the hot end twice and recently had my x limit switch fail and I cannot find the parts nor a video on how anywhere. I put an order in for a P1S this morning.
I have the 3 V3 and it is a workhorse. The only issue I have had with it is when you pause the print to change the filament, or pause the print job for an extended period of time, the filament tends to snap off inside the extruder just below the gears.
Just what is not included to start printing right away. Is there anything Ill need to get. They offer two different add on kits are they needed? and if so which 1 Thanks for your time love your content
Love the videos I've had the v3 plus for a few months and have had really good results especially since they dropped the new slicer software, also heard that the new CFS system will be compatible with it and the k1s
AhhHHH! ahaha that yell loved it
I love mine but man does it squeal at low speeds. Found I had to slow down the top layers because it was set too fast when Orcaslicer first released it. The Creality 5.1 has a really good one which I copied over to Orca and have been using that with slight tweaks to my liking. The Neptune 4 Plus was plagued with firmware drama on launch. Took me 2 months to finally tune it in and install replacement parts for parts that arrived damaged on the printer.
Excellent, thanks for that perfectly timed review. It is like you knew I was on the Creality site looking at new printer options last night! I will strongly consider that Ender 3 V3 for my next unit... I do have one question; Do you have a video, or general recommendations on what to do with older printers that are not being used any more?
I like the large build plate. That dragon would never be printed for my kids. I couldn't imagine stepping on that thing early in the morning after waking up.
These printers are … EPIC!!!
dude, the cardboard cutout got me rolling lol!
About the ender 4, it goes from the ender, ender 2, ender 3, ender 4, ender 5, ender 6 and ender 7 (the printers from ender 4 or 5 are in a box shape)
I had purchased the v3 KE earlier this year and have close to 700hrs on it. I've replaced the hot end twice and just recently my x-axis limit switch failed out of nowhere. Creality parts are almost impossible to find unless it's hot end/nozzle parts. I ordered a P1S this morning.
Bro I just got the k1c thank you so much for getting me into 3d printing it's my favorite thing I ever done
Great video keep up the good work
I picked up an ender 3v3SE, and it just woks, zero issues lol, I find files, slice and print and have zero issues,
I’m wanting to upgrade, I was looking at a ender 5 plus. Would you recommend the Ender 3- V3 plus over the Ender 5 plus
Do you think the k1 max is still worth it compared to the new cheaper option ender3plus and its close to same performance. Thank you.
Yo Frank. Something you could start doing is linking the files of things you show in the video. Cause I've been trying to find that same dragon files FOREVER and haven't been able to find it. Thanks
Google Cinderwing. Its her Crystal Dragon. have fun
Should be the Crystal Dragon from Cinderwings. It’s a paid file
@@maxthorax13II Awesome. Thanks
Always been a fan of your videos and your videos have helped me out many times with various prints, but........................
I have been using my little CR6SE for the past 3 or so years and just love this printer. Yes, I have modded and frankensteined it so much, but it just does what I need.
But now I need something that won't break the bank, but has a large print bed.
I have to say, I've been eyeing this printer for a while, but after watching this video, I'm a bit worried because you kinda do say go for it, but then you don't...
And the K1 Max is just way out of my price range for now.
So do I or don't I?
Oh, I also want to be able to slap my Pi with Octoprint on it! This is a MUST HAVE!
I don't want Creality spying on my prints and networks... 🤣🤣🤣
Hi! Would you recommend this printer over the anycubic kobra 2 plus? I can't decide between the ender 3 v3 plus, the anycubic and the elegoo neptune 4 plus.
Great video! Looking forward to the K2!
Have you ever used the Qidi Max 3?
Yeah I hated it lol
Great video ✌🏼 Big up Frank, he is the reason I’ve got a 3D printer & probably thousands of other people 🔥 Respect ✊🏼
I wish this had been available when I was looking for this size. I ended up with a K1 Max. VFA for days
Great reviews. Just slow movements when showing closeups and use manual focus with small aperture (high iso if needed) . Most cameras can't autofocus well enough. movies use manual focus techniques ! google depth of field and manual focus. cheers
Do you think the Neptune 4 Max would be a good purchase? I want it cause it’s large and quick
If you enjoy a lot of messing with clipper to get it to do the basics then yep. If it was as usable as the N3 max i have i would get one but all i see is people messing in clipper for weeks.
Show us a how to print video on the shredder helmet that was in some of your shorts
7:30 completely agree. I have been using Orca* Slicer as I had terrible results from creality print. The new creality print is fantastic, Even support for layer pauses and other options that should have been there a long time ago :D
However. My next upgrade could possibly move away from creality
Just ordered one myself, was a $200 (AUD) price drop so def snagged it for the larger volume.
Great review! This makes me want to get one!
Most people don’t trust creality, if you do more research you’ll get why.
@Xunjie3D Never heard of you. You have littne to no good reputation, if you were just advertising maybe id trust you, but since youve lied i think ppl might wanna avoid your stuff
@@A-scketchy-otter-lol
I also never heard of you - even if I was in the last 38 years many times in China. Your comment is rater weird and unpolite. Why I do not buy a Creality printer anymore is the reason, that Creality's firmware is always prototype level only and not working properly and customers will never get a proper working firmware update. Chinese, especially Creality should not only copy hardware and software from Western companies but should modify and optimise the open source firmware to work perfect for their hardare. But Creality never does.
@@elsap75 what?
It's nice and I'm glad to see Ender starting to push new printers again...but I really don't see how it justifies it's price. It's $479 and can only do single material printing automatically and at best matches speed with the A1 from Bambu which at this exact moment is $489 Including the AMS. The only thing it brings to the table is less then 40mm additional capacity. Which while that isn't nothing, unless you are mass printing extremely large prints just isn't that big a difference. Now if it was pushing 400x400x400+, then sure they have an argument. But as it stands, beyond "I just want to buy an Ender" it is inferior to it's direct competition in price in every metric that matters.
Sorry, disappointed that Creality couldn't do better than this. Sadly I feel like this printer really just takes advantage of people who are new to 3d printing and don't know there are better options.
good honest video. Hope i can meet you at SDCC!
Can you post the link to that test print with all the bridges and spikes etc?
Make a vid about how to get companies to send you stuff, great vids btw
Uhhh…make videos and gain a following lol
I have a neptune 4. It's a 3d printer but it leaves a lot to be desired. The printer head clog problem that devolves quickly into a destroyed printer head kinda sucks the fun right out of it. I feel like I have to babysit the neptune 4. On a 15 hour print that fails 13 hours in its pretty disheartening and needless to say I've taken a break from 3d printing
Hey Frank, are you going to San Diego Comic-Con? Doing any panels? It would be great to run into you and say ‘hi’! 😊
I really thought about getting this one. I’m debating this one or wait for the K2 plus. I’m just worried this Ender plus will have the layer shift wobbling cause by the bed slinger when printing taller prints.
"You have to consider eeeeeaah". Frankly built July 20 2024
When you print with the printers you are testing, are you using the stock slicer or do you switch it up between orca slicer too? Wondering what is better to use for my Ender 3 V3, whether I should use creality slicer or orca slicer?
Use whatever works best for you. I started with Cura, then moved to Prusa slicer, for features like bridges when printing over infill. And later I switch to SuperSlicer because it have control over width of different model parts. And now I tried swtich to Orca and it just does not work for me. I do not like the UI which makes me feel Cura flash backs. And it game poor quality for me. It have lots of cool stuff, but I do not see difference only trouble with them. And without them, I just better use Superslicer. For example Orca does not allow to multiply objects and then set them all at once. You need to set one object then clone. If you want again to change something you need remove clones, then repeat. So some features are absent to my surprise.
So use whatever you like and what gives you the best experience.
I'm absolutely new to printing, let's get that out of the way.
This model is currently $440 and the K1C is $599.
Which would you recommend?
I have both. K1C all day every day. Unless you need the build volume.
@@s.leegooding1827 I ended up buying a Bambu P1P on sale for $499. Thanks for the help though.
Just picked up the Core xz! Only been about a week and already 2 extruder jams lol, I'm new to this and yanked on the filament the first time, second time was kinda weird, dug into the bed and then jammed, about to change the z offset up a couple .1s, anybody got more advice?
What would recommend creality or bamboo lab the enclosed printers
Im such a big fan of you ive been saving for a neptune 3 max!
What is the speed you normally use for this kind of helmets for good detail
Fran what kind of liner would you recommend for the inside of standard helmets or masks/ something clothy?
Would you do a Warhammer for K space marine power your choice of Legion or faction and decorative designs? You don’t have to if you don’t want to again your choice.
Watching this to justify my purchase
Looking at do a Mk 39 suit. How difficult will it be to cut up files to fit on a P1S? Like you did, im trying to avoid cutting through the honey combs
You’ll need to cut the legs and chest and backpack a lot
As painless and easy as that machine is to root. There is no reason to suffer through using Creality Print ever again. You can use Orca and print directly to the Plus just like any other Klipper machine.
Solid overall. Really hard to tell exact print quality though without some actual stationary in focus close up shots. The key issue with most Creality printers right now is the extruder design which leads to a lot of artifacts.
This printer or Bambu a1 with the AMS lite🤔
Would this printer work good for beginners?
i had a couple ender v3 ke's and so far they are workhorses!!
i have a few questions:
what 3d printer were you using before?
where can i buy the lights in your helmets?
and do you paint your 3d printed stuff or is it individual filament?
Check my other videos 😅
@@FranklyBuilt Thanks
I’m coming k2+, just wait !
The filament untangle thing is hilarious. Just add a bowden tube and fix the end somewhere stationary. Issue gone. I'll never understand why so many printers just drag the filament around. Completely pointless and an issue that can be fixed with almost zero cost by just adding a bowden tube.
Where did he get those numbers for the 3 plus??? Pretty sure my 3 plus is 320x320 lol
The 10-20mm size difference doesn’t matter. It’s the same size machine
I bought a Tevo hydra 2 in 1 Printer & I hate it! Definitely gonna buy a creality
30x30x30 is actually not a verry good concept for a bedslinger... Probably also going to give some dimensional errors when prints are getting bigger/heavier.
How did you get the updated slicer, Im apparently still running a bad one
9:16 That was unexpected!
Next up is Ender-3 V3 Plus V3 XL V3 Plus-3 V3
Quick question how did you get the flexi Rex to have the same print feel on both sides?
Hey, I have an issue atm. I want to print a sword and a shield, but there are no files to print it, and even if there is (for example there is one that comes with a full costume) THAT’S $4,500!!! Do you got any suggestions??
Commission a 3D modeler to model it
@@FranklyBuilt I would but sadly I don’t got the money to ;-;
Creality has a history of making half arsed profiles, relying on users to spend multiple hours sorting it all out. I cannot be bothered with that anymore.
When did they update there slicer?
Was it just me or did the focus kinda feel off for most the video. Its super well focused on you but seems like most the objects you were holding were hard to see
Just you
I agree
the iron man part is why ill never use a bed slinger again, the design needs to just be retired and core XY should be the standard, better speeds, better quality, and lends itself much easier to enclose.
It goes up to ender 7, i think, i haven't seen one, but i have seen an Ender 6, but the Ender 3 is the most popular. I still can't find what an Ender 1 is, though
AFAIK the first Ender was the Ender 2. My first chinese printer. After that I bought an Emder 3, a Tevo Tarantula Pro, two Kingroon KP3S, and a Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro. None of them (perhaps with the excepcion of the N4P) have the same print quality of the Ender 2.
@luciomachado9582 Why is it called the ender 2 if it's the first one?
@@kaelan_123 It's mystery. Why there is a Tesla model 3 if there are no models 1 and 2?
@luciomachado9582 it might be to do with the previous models only being prototypes, and then the tesla model 3 and the ender 2 are the first models that can be sold
where can I find that sword again?
My experience with Enders is they work great until they have an issue and it’s always a drastic issue. Anyone have experience with this on these?
i'll never give creality another cent
@@cmawhz nobody should. Probably the worst company ive ever had to deal with.
I've had 2 of their machines and can't complain too much. 3d printing is a finicky hobby as is. Maybe I've been lucky, most of the issues I've had were my fault.
@@ryanwalker1341 i have a LOT of complaints. sure it is a finicky hobby but mine didn't even work out of the box and had other hardware failures within the first roll of filament. my other brand printers just work.
@cmawhz hey man, can't knock that lol sometimes you get a lemon, and it sucks. I have wanted to venture outside of creality whenever money and space in the house permits myself. Still deciding on what route I'll go though.
@@ryanwalker1341 its not that i got a lemon printer, its that the company is a piece of hotdogwater dogshit that literally tried to scam me and get me to electrocute myself. Imagine you bought a phone but wouldn’t turn on and the manufacturer told you to run it over with a car to see if it would work. Then when you say no and ask to send it back (within the return window) they refuse so you go to paypal for a refund they sent fake pictures saying its from an email from you and “show” that you did run it over with your car.
newest creality print (the one that based on prusa slicer) always crash on me
I want big Bambu
Ofc the new slicer is good, they took Orca Slicer to make it XD
when are u starting the new mk 85
stringing depends on filament xd
I have a Neptune 4 Pro and have nothing to complain other than the noise. The Neptune 4 Plus is much cheaper than this Ender. Even the Neptune 4 Max is cheaper. I prefer Elegoo to Creality. Perheaps my next printer will be the Elegoo Centauri.
I need some new friends that design stuff for cosplay events or just for mutaual friendship.
Continually getting error 2294 and 2300 on mine. Will not print and Creality reviews the log and takes forever to get back to me
I’m happy for all the creality hate in the comments, it’s about time.
What hate? Lol
The top 3 comments talk about not wanting to buy a reality machine again, and I agree they’ve been sitting not high or mighty but they have a spot cornered in the market that they’ve had for too long, good vid tho
@@FranklyBuilt Shoot, autocorrect i typed creality not creator, you dont deserve any hate, my b
Nothing to do with the printer but is iron man your favorite superhero?
Anyone know where I can get the STL for that dragon ?
I got one and its amazing
Isn’t the v3 plus 300*300*330?
Sv07 plus ?
My elegoo neptune 4 pro works great
"I feel like there's a better way to do this" really should be crealitys slogan at this point
best 3d printing youtber 🐐🐐
What are your thoughts on Flashforge?
Proprietary crap that was a knockoff of a traitor to the open source community. Avoid them.
can you review bambu lab a1
Just use Bambu there is no point in other printers anymore BAMBU ONLY
That’s such a bad take lol 😂 please don’t give advice
Prusa? Elegoo? Ever heard of them? Maybe if Bambu released a larger printer they'd have more ground, but I just bought a Neptune 3 Max because the biggest size Bambu offers rn is barely bigger than an Ender 3. Don't get me wrong, I love my P1P, I've put in like 2,000 hours into that sucker already, but I'll be damned if it isn't tiny in comparison to what's out there. (For cheaper, might I add.)
Thought is was 300x300x330
isnt the buildplate PC buildplate? because creality likes to ship their *pro* models with PEI and *standart* ones with PC
I have a video idea for you. Could you make a Chainsaw man helmet that is wearable?
….i did lol 😂 already.
@@FranklyBuilt could I see a picture?
I made a whole UA-cam tutorial on it lol 😂 look at my channel
@@FranklyBuilt ok I'll take a look
@@FranklyBuilt could I possibly pay you to build me a chainsaw man helmet just like that one or is that not possible?
I have a concern what are you hiding behind the iron Man poster board hummmmmmmm
if it had a top spool holder I would be interested. Otherwise, no.
