A bunch of fun Johno...One tip mate..You see the two holes on the tensioner...Notice they line up when you take the load off the belt...You stick a pin in there and it holds the tensioner loose while you fit the new belt...Look for that stuff mate and it makes things a lot easier...Just sayin'.
As you said a serpentine belt,so can we do it without fear of losing the repairs of the timing.?please give us more explanations, is there anything to fix before removing the old belt.?and thank you so much.
Your videos really help with explaining and filling in the missing bits others think you already know, like the belt pattern. I am changing the harmonic balance but it doesn't have the normal puller holes fr a puller. How do I get it off the car? Do I use a puller with arms that go on the outside of the balancer?
It's so much more enjoyable to watch you crawling around your garage floor than to be crawling around my garage floor. And not a skinned knuckle did I see !!
Have you had any luck, I've been trying to find it for the last few weeks and can't find any information on this model, I have the part just need to know where it is on the car.
I found that you can put a nail through the two holes at the bottom on the tensioner when they line up you can see them at the 2:07 marks and lining up at about 2:34 in the video. makes it much easier to put the new belt on.
I just went down in from the top (hood/bonnet) for my 2013 Kia Grand Carnival 2.2 diesel and pushed an old cut down 4mm Allen key in the locking position hole to hold off the tension.
Advice please: is there anything I need to lock in place to avoid the timing going out of sync? Is it possible for the timing to go out of sync in the method you have used?
Ive never liked how diesels sound. Always sounds like the engine is destroying itself 😂 those belts can sometimes be tricky if theres very little space
No idea. I think it's on an inspection schedule rather than a fixed change interval. Refer to the manual. I'll change it every 3 years or 100,000kms or so
Hey mate do you have any idea where the crankshaft position sensor is located on that exact model? Cheers.

Cheers Zig and thanks for the tip. Retaining pins are common on VW/Audis but I'm flying blind on Hyundais
Mine is exactly same as yours, but why my tensioner is really really hard to pull? 😬😢

The belt looks as long as the serpentine belt on a Suburu, but with the Suburu the results are more spectacular if you get it wroong. Nice job!
Subarus do like to fail spectacularly too. Cheers

Haha thanks mate. It's a job I've been thinking about doing for months 💭🤣 today was the day
Please help on the Hyundai Santa fe 2.2D crankshaft position sensor replacement

Wished I found your video before I went to the service center

That was a long long belt mate ... top job 👍👍👍👍

Nicely done bud , I was so hoping to see the clothes peg fly off 🤣

Cheers mate. Hope you and the family are doing well too
@@Badgertronix all good cheers
Hello sir what is the number of spaner saze
Subbed. You made that look so easy. Gives me confidence to tackle the job on my 2007 d4eb.
Awesome. Glad to be of help
Thank you very much. This is a great video and very thorough.
Thanks for the video, looks easy. I need to do mine, 2011 CRDI 2.2. same motor as yours I guess.
Advice please: is there anything I need to lock in place to avoid the timing going out of sync? Is it possible for the timing to go out of sync in the method you have used?
It's a serpentine belt not a timing belt.
Just here for the diagram - my balancer snapped off on the highway so needed a reference for the belt. It's at 4:22 if anyone else needs it
Does that have a timing belt?
No, it has a chain
@@Badgertronix It has a timing belt buddy.
@@helenewoods4578 nope it has a chain. The gen 1 had a belt
Thank you so much for your video. I couldn’t find the right belt diagram for my Kia Sorento but thankfully this is the same engine.
Ive never liked how diesels sound. Always sounds like the engine is destroying itself 😂 those belts can sometimes be tricky if theres very little space
I like the sound of a good diesel. The Santa Fe doesn't sound as nice as the VW ones
This engine is a bit quieter with Euro 5 diesel and 5w40 ACEA B4 engine oil. Not as silent as petrol though
That is in a tight place. I've been driving trucks too long. lol
Tight space and a very long belt. What dreams are made of. Cheers buddy
Good video. Thanks!
Thanks
What belt number
different type of my 2014 santa fe still with power steering pump not eps 😖
When are you going to do the belts on the Morrie🙁
About the same time you finish your boat 🤣🤣
How many kilometers to change
No idea. I think it's on an inspection schedule rather than a fixed change interval. Refer to the manual. I'll change it every 3 years or 100,000kms or so
Good. Work
Belt number
Hmm, where have I heard that music before?
It features on a lot of great UA-cam channels. It's straight from their music library 😀
I'm sure it's trickier than it looks
It really wasn't too bad. The belt is unnecessarily long though
Balt no....
Nice and eseee.
Yes indeed. Cheers!
