I was Ted's neighbour for the last 2 years of his life when he was living in Hindhead (not far from Haslemere). We would go to the local pub every Friday. He was the nicest guy going
That’s lovely to hear 😊
How lovely. My husband grew up in Haslemere. Lovely part of the world.
I loved 3,2,1 and he was a great show host to be honest and you could say surprisingly I didn't even know about his death until now
Was he buried nearby and did any of Ted's 4 kids live there, please?
Loved 321, looking back, it was daft but very comforting, reminds me of being a child with my mum and my brother 😢
I saw the same deer spring from the middle of a motorway over the farmers gate into the field ,like a spring box defying gravity,,,,could not believe not only the height it sprang, but the distance,,
We both love hammer movies, that is great setting,,
I met him in my shop in 96. A very nice man. Looked very happy.
So many famous names I supported during my cabaret times in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s make one feel old with them all gone. Ted gave me a Dusty Bin, which I still use in my family shows today, even though I am long retired; you don't stop performing till you die :)
Fantastic programme. Nice man. They don't make them like they used to. RIP.
My parents were married in that church and my grandparents are all buried there. I never knew until now that Ted Rogers was residing in the same place. I will pay my respects to him next time I go there. Thank you so much for the video💕
Thank you Ted for all the good times we had R.I.P. And thanks very much to you too Paul my friend. 🤝 🍻
Brings back memories of watching 321 as a child with my late mum. Loved Dusty Bin! Looks like a lovely, peaceful resting place.
Awww loved dusty bin ,had one and we always tried too do the 321 hand signal .RIP ted .happy travels Paul.🙏
Can't wait to send this to my wife, we would watch this together always having a good laugh. Deer 🦌 wandering around making sure our departed always have company. RIP Ted Rogers. ❤
It’s true we will never see those sort of game shows again, what a shame, really missed. He did seem like a nice man who enjoyed fun. RIP Ted 🕊️
Lovely words by you for Ted, great character, loved watching 321. Thankyou
That's one beautiful setting for a very talented man to be laid to rest.
Great video Paul
Look after yourself
👻👻👻
My younger brother who's 52 won a pottery Dusty Bin at a fair when he was about 9 or 10. He still has it! Another great watch despite the subject! Loved the drone footage too. Sending you ❤ Paul from Newcastle upon Tyne.
my late grandparents would always watch 321. lovely memories 💖
Another favourite of my childhood. I had a cheap version of Dusty Bin and loved it. R.I.P Ted ❤
Ted and his family used to live in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire. His son now has Dusty Bin. When he fell on hard times he was actually hosting kids parties.
Proper game show the likes we’ll never see again unfortunately 😢
Can remember my middle daughter winning a fancy dress competition dressed as dusty bin
So her act WASN'T rubbish!!
(Sorry, not sorry).
Aww bless her, Dusty Bin will always be the nations best loved dustbin, so cute!
@@DavidJHarrisonEssexstick that comment straight in the trash can 😂🍻
Thank you for the beautiful shots of the church what a lovely place
Broke my heart when you said he hit hard times
Thank you for covering this with such kindness and dignity xxx
❤ God Bless Him 321 dusty The Bin great show back in the day. He knew how to play the game show thanks Paul on the up date 2001 were have the 23 years gone crazy
Came across as a lovely man, sad to hear that he had a rough time of it in the latter part of his life. Lovely to see wildlife. There are deer in Hollybrook Cemetery Southampton and in the area where it's situated. One hot day we saw quite a large one leaning against a post box, just chilling and watching the traffic go by, beautiful. Lovely place to spend eternity for Ted. Those who make us laugh have a special place in Heaven.
i believe he overspent a lot on cars and houses, then he was called into the ofiice to be told 321 would be finished, he then struugled to get work and feel into a lot of debt.he had them at his house taking his cars away and had maxed out his credit cards, i beleiev he asked the producers what other work they had for him, they told him nothing that caused his downfall.
fell sorry
Loved 321 when I was little ❤
Paul. Thanks mate. Yet another great episode. So sad that he fell on hard times! Cheers, Bob
Oh what memories with Ted and 321
Remember watching it on a Saturday night with my parents🙏🙏
When entertainment both with ITV and BBC was at its best
Ted died way too young

Another of my wonderful memories growing up . I remember as a family we'd all sit there trying to do the 3-2-1 as Ted Rogers did so fast , with not much luck .😂
Wow, not far from me in Ascot. I never knew . Thanks, Paul, for your wonderful videos and the fabulous memories that go along with them .❤
Beautiful location & some fantastic drone shots
Loved 3-2-1 it was just good family entertainment
Well done for finding his final resting place
Wow this was so interesting about Ted's life, didn't realise he was so young when he past 😢 I use to watch 321 when I was a child. Ascot is close to where I live so might take a visit next time I'm over that way. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great video Paul, and to think the times I’ve been to Sunninghill cemetery to look for the graves of my nans ancestors and all the time didn’t know that Ted Rogers was buried there.
Another lovely cemetery in beautiful surroundings. The amount of people who tried to perfect the 321 thing, ha ha. Loved the beautiful deer too. Thank you Paul.
aww I met ted Roger's at butlins in ayr in Scotland back in the day a very nice guy this will be good thank you!!
When I was a child I used to go to my village churchyard and clean the graves and imagine who the names had belonged to. I’d lay a bunch of wild flowers at the old forgotten looking gravestones. I think that’s why I love your channel, it’s close to my own heart. Thankyou Paul 🌼
Very amiable host, love to watch the old 321 shows , brings back great memories.
Thank you for sharing this.
A fun show and a nice man. RIP Ted
Thank you paul . I watched this with my gran parents all the time..great memories
321 was a classic programme at the time then after a while the clues to get a car or a dusty bin got really daft and silly. And soon the programme was dated shame poor Ted ran into money worries. Thanks for a great video Paul 😊
Never much about him such great show growing so just great host to thanks showing his rest place Paul
Brilliant video and drone footage Paul. When my daughter was younger she was chosen to dance in a pantomime in the early 90s. Ted Rogers was starring in the pantomime. I met him and he was so lovely. He had time for everyone and stood for ages signing autographs and chatting to everyone. I used to laugh at the ‘clues’ on 321 as they never made any sense, it was a good show though. Take care.
I remember my neighbours (down the street) appearing on 321 back in about 1980, they lost and weren't too happy about it! Lol
Love. You paul you are so respectfull
What a good video and love the view from the drome fantastic Paul ☘

I loved this programme, loved Saturday nights back then and trying to guess the clues .😂
I used to watch this but the clues never made any sense to me. I must be a bit thick 😂😂. I'm looking forward to the video xx
Me neither
Nope, nor me. I wonder if they were supposed to😂
No you wasn't thick, Ted Rogers admitted the clues were nonsense on one of those 100 best of shoes on gameshows.😁😁
I never understood the clues either but I loved the program
Nobody got them.
Thanks for doing this video Paul. Brings back happy memories, because I used to watch this with my Nanna, when I went to stay with her.😊

Paul. You are a natural, such a down too earth guy, than you for what you do, showing the grave's, of those who have gone, for which some of us, we would not have seen
Remembering watching that program with dusty bin. What a beautiful church and cemetery. The surroundings are beautiful. Shame he ended up with nothing and died young . So glad you managed to zoom in on the deer he could definitely jump 😄. Thanks for sharing love from Holmfirth West Yorkshire 💜 🫰

Gud stuff me and the lads at work always talk and quiz about the the old celebrities and game show hosts keep em coming👌
Thanks for another brilliant video.
I always love it when I get a notification that you've uploaded another video to your channel.
Yes I remember that. I think it was on a Sunday and my mum came back with one of the bins. I don’t know where she got it from and she got a law and that we could put on the shelf was so funny she came back with this big stuff in a black bag when she took it out she said look what I’ve got. I’ll see where you got the bin, but I remember that. Thank you for sharing that you take care. Keep safe family drive carefully. 🤣👍
Thank you for doing this video. You did the 3-2-1 routine very well! I really look forward to seeing all of these videos about famous peoples lives. What a lovely area that you visited today! That beautiful deer, the lush green grass and lovely trees. The cemetry looked very peaceful. I'm glad that the weather was nice for your filming today. I really do appreciate all that you do on this website channel. Could you do a video about anyone famous that is buried in Portsmouth? That would be fascinating!
The nearest famous person is in Petersfield, which is Alec Guinness and I’ve covered his one
Rare one thanks Paul . 3.2.1 used to watch some actually won Dusty Bin or if lucky better prizes
Never thought I would find this channel so interesting 👍
I remember Ted Rogers well although I never watched 321. I saw him as a little girl at Blackpool in the 1960's during our annual summer holiday there. He was such a versatile personality very much like Jimmy Tarbuck to name but one. Always enhanced whatever show he performed in. Sad he came upon hard times at the end of his life. Hope he's resting peacefully. 🙏🌹
Very nice, Paul! I'm in Michigan USA but love everything British! Thanks for this mate! Danny ❤xx

HI PAUL I SEND MY LOVE TO U AND YOUR FAMILY❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😅😅😅😅❤❤❤
Chris Evans on Virgin Radio in the morning is great...Thank you Paul for another great video x
The most amazing thing that my two eyes have ever witnessed was a huge dear jumping two high dry stone walls either side of me across the path I was cycling along the least cycled section of the Camel Trail early very one morning.
My jaw genuinely dropped at its majesty.
I felt blessed to be so close, yet fortunate I was not 10m closer along the trail!
Evening Paul, really enjoyed this programme. Cryptic clues were always impossible to answer though, but this programme had really decent prizes.
I remember watching this programme, think it used to come on TV Saturdays. . Another interesting video.. I had forgotten about this programme and I could only remember Ted doing this and not seeing him in anything else.
That’s a good old blast from the past brilliant
Always looked forward to this every Friday night i think it was.
All very silly and the clues never made any sense whatsoever😵💫 but was always addictive watching as a kid 😊
