I’m really enjoying the trend toward “by feature” comparos you have taken, in this case the feature being price. I find it a much more useful way to choose a tech product, and I for one, thank you for the time and effort of going a different way. Much appreciated.
I really appreciate your content, esp on monitors. I've purchased several through your channel in the past, as well as several recommendations on PC related products, due to doing PC builds for myself, family, and friends. It seems that I'm always needing a monitor with these builds for some reason. This may be the only way I can show support for your channels. Thank you both for presenting these.
I have 2 34in OLED’s. The Alienware DWF from this video and the 34in LG UltraGear that has Anti-Glare(Matte Finish. Will say I like the LG more. Hate matte finishes, but something about this one I like.
Thats what I'm here for. I know my next monitor will be an ultrawide, but its still going to be awhile, so I want to stay up to date on whats best. Currently my pick is the MSI 491CQP, but curious if anything else has come out to dethrone my pick.
Yes, I’m waiting on his ultra wide video too. I’m eyeing the Alienware AW3423DWF and it’s currently on sale for $649.99 USD here in the states. So close to pulling the trigger…
@ if it helps, the AW3423DWF is the most popular QDOLED ultrawide (at least for 165hz). And is highly regarded and recommended. If it’s at a good price I’d say get it. Also he does have a few videos on the DWF. I’ve recently purchased the 240Hz MSI MPG341CQPX version.
I bought the LG 32GQ850-B off their website for $350. First time moving to 32", maintaining 240 hz and 1ms response, but switching from a VA to (nano) IPS. It's hardware calibrated, looks good out of the box, and has a great stand. It was a big difference in my replay of Nine Sols for line and color clarity during movement. I haven't ever had a good experience with HDR, so this one's weak HDR isn't a concern. It did suck going from curved to flat again, though. lol I want an OLED in the future, but I currently cannot justify spending the huge amounts on my ideal monitors right now, since they're $600-1300. Now with hindsight, I don't recommend VA panels. I love ultra high framerates, but I'd recommend getting a great-looking IPS with a lower refresh rate ceiling of 144-180 hz. You'll save yourself money (especially if staying under 4k), and likely get an actual better viewing experience on the more affordable side.
Just got my hands on the ASUS PG32UCDM, was thinking of the P model. But the M model went on black week sale. So that was my pick. And i am happy. This monitor is absolutely stunning
@@carlosmolina292You can always return it if it has an issue, but it's IPS miniLED, it doesn't get any better. And the price is amazing, it's cheaper than AOC.
Almost two years ago, I managed to buy a brand-new monitor for the incredible price of €100 (including tax and everything). It's a SAMSUNG 1080p 27-inch CRG5. The specifications are: 240Hz Curved VA gaming monitor that also supports G-Sync and FreeSync. It was the last sealed box in a local store in the EU. They wanted to get rid of it in order to showcase the newer models. I still use it almost two years later and I'm still surprised I got it for this cheap. VA is a decent technology, but I still love how an IPS one looks. The next one will surely be an IPS
Will you guys ever tackle 43"? Got an ROG VA right now but the ghosting is downright annoying and have been wanting to change it for a while now. Don't care much for UW or OLED but a general roundup would be really appreciated. Well that's if you guys are able to get enough of them to test out.
Could you tell how you guys use the ultrawide? I can only see the productivity benefit. When I was working in office, the upgrade from one 1080p monitor to adding even some squareish old one was big, much less alt-tabbing, and 2 proper 1080 ones were great, but still at time I wouldn't mind a third one, lol. But at home I never felt that I need more than one. But I also only watch stuff or play games.
I would love a video about the ultimate monitor set up. I think a lot of us are balancing gaming, work and watch TV on our monitors, and it's rarely good for all tasks. A video showing the ultimate set up would be a cool video to watch.
The successor to the AOC Q27G3XMN, the G27G4XM, is out in China, and will probably get a global release date soon. It has all of the same features as the former monitor (1440p, 180hz, HDR1000) but upgraded to 1152 dimming zones and changed from VA to IPS, so hopefully black smearing and bad viewing angles will be less of an issue. I'd love to see a review on that when it comes about as it will hopefully be a pretty decent upgrade over the Q27G3XMN for around the same price. I'm holding on my monitor purchase until then.
I was about to get the G27G4X, but your comment caught my attention. Mini-LED and 1000HDR sounds hella good over the inferior version. However I was not able to find anything about it, except official Chinese AOC website, and it did not have a price tag there. Do you have any information about it?
None unfortunately. I've decided to just go for the XMN as I'd rather not wait 6-9 months for the monitor to come out, and for reviews. If it comes out later then I'll probably just pick it up for a dual monitor setup.
@@xephorix heard alot of good stuff about thr XMN model, but I just cant decide if i want to go with the VA route. I play a mixture of single and multiplier games. How is your experince so far with the XMN?
It hasn't arrived yet, but I can tell you that when you get a GOOD VA panel that isn't too much of an issue. If you play fast-paced FPS games then you might want to steer clear of it, and go for an IPS instead (maybe something like the Xiaomi G Pro 27i. I tried that out and had a good experience with it but had to return it due to minor color inaccuracies as I use my monitor for artwork, outside of that I thought it was great). but VA usually isn't nearly as bad as people say it is. and for the price I've heard it's an absolute steal.
The MSI MAG 271QPX was on sale for $530 recently. It's a great deal at that price, now that MSI added the ability for it to receive firmware updates. Especially for the large number of people who think 4K is trash for gaming (low FPS) and 32" is too big for a gaming monitor. 32" is MASSIVE - it's pretty annoying.
32 is too big if you seat close, you need more distance to see the whole 32 monitor at which point 1440p would be perfect for 32", i'm saying that but i have a 27" 1080p. As i don't seat far enough for a 32", i'm seating at 50/60 cm from the monitor
Thanks for the review, Tim! I just got the (new?) Acer Predator XB323QK V3, it's a 32" (31.5" actual) 4K IPS, 160hz, and it's available right now on Newegg for $600. I'm pretty impressed with it's overall quality, and it'll do me very well for at least a few years until OLED has evolved some. The primary reasons I didn't go with an OLED are the non-RGB subpixel structure and the nausea-inducing flicker.. I'll add that I did have a ASUS PG32UCDP for about a month, and returned it for those specific reasons, though there were other annoyances too. I do wish the Acer had HDR (the Acer has the "not really" HDR that a lot of non-OLEDs claim but don't offer), but overall I'm ok with my purchase.
Thanks for another great video! What about us who needs low brightness? I know some models have high lowest brightness and some few have acceptable lowest brightness. Best regards.
For me the AOC 25G3ZM or Philips Evnia 25M2N3200W were the target. Both with VA panel since I'm a casual 1st person / strategic gamer, and after proper calibration they were excellent. (Finally I chose the cheaper one, with 31.5% VAT in my home country, nothing's simple.)
The Dell G2724D is currently (November 19, 2024) on sale for $149.99 on dell's website. 27" 1440p 165hz measured by rtings to have acceptable contrast, backlight bleed, and good color accuracy. Usually $200. Hopefully, the sale goes to the end of the week.
I'm not very knowledgable on tech so I ordered an AOC C27G4ZXU. It should arrive in a few days. I already have the Alienware DWF but I only use it for the "cinematic" gaming experience. I needed a monitor to do the static job with decent refresh, decent colors, doesn't burden my PC, and easy to move when I want to use the DWF. So I hope the AOC C27G4ZXU is good. EDIT: My current "work" monitor is an old Samsung S27D590CS with some burnt pixels.
You say for 350$ you would get a side-grade with MSI G274QPX if you want a higher refresh rate, or another monitor if you want hdr. But which other monitor is that?
i'm using the Skyworth H24G30F rn that i got for $94, 24" FHD 180hz with good color tuning and decent aftersales (atleast in Indonesia). i've been using this monitor for the past month and i'm loving it (switched from a crappy 60hz laptop display)
Can we get a ultrawides updated video? There is very little recommendations out there for people who don't want to go OLED due to burn in risk when using it for mostly productivity reasons.
Hi I really like your video as always and happy to see unbiased opinion thanks for the video Can you make monitor buying recommendations for content creator please it would help a lot
I left a comment on the last video about the Agon pro ag276qzd thinking you didn't review it, then after you mentioned it in this video, I went and looked for it and not only found it, but I also found out that I've watched it already, anyways, the review answered my biggest concern which was that the monitor isn't dim enough, your review showed a minimum brightness of 2 nits, I'll definitely get this monitor or its v2 as there's only a 10€ difference between them
Would love to see some recommendations on even larger monitors e.g. larged than 32" & 34"UW. Personally im holding out for something like a 16:9 38" 4k OLED
12:12 Slight correction on the name shown on screen for the $1000 monitor. The MSI 321URX is "MPG" not "MAG" like the 321UPX. You DO get this correct in the video description links though. I only noticed cos I am thinking of buying this monitor. BTW, it's currently around £1200 (over $1500) in the UK and the ASUS PG32UCDM is very slightly cheaper.
Managed to snub the dell for 230 euros actually just right now. I am very excited. My budget was just that. I hope I made the right choice. It was either that or the HP omen 27 for 180 euros
Thanks for the great content! I'm wondering if you will get the chance to review the MSI MAG274QRF-QD E2. It's currently selling in my region for ~270$ which is almost half the price for which the original sold, and I would love to see your professional opinion on it. It certainly has some interesting features, but also some aspects that leave me a bit wanting.
It would be good if a review was done on the msi mag 32inch 323upf model . Even though it does have a couple of little issues, however it does come with KVM support and is still a not to bad IPS LCD monitor. Food for thought. It is currently going for around $850+ in Australia at some stores. 😎
Philips evnia 49" 240hz oled for 1000€ for me. I don't see anything aproaching the value anywhere else atm. Minor cons because nothing is perfect, is reminder to refresh pixels every 4 hours (they should do it like TVs where it runs auto when going in standby so it would ask much less often) and the text is not 100% perfect for productivity, but it's fine and I can't stand my super crisp IPS next to it with its washed out colors and gray blacks anymore side by side, so I'll take it. Everything else is gorgeous, and the usb-c PD is really fantastic, I can plug my laptop and all my peripherals switch to it while charging it. Granted I push 240 only on old games with a RX6800, but the card is fine for 120 in modern games, you don't need a monster either.
I just bought a LG Ultragear 27Gr75Q-B 165hz for 170€, my old monitor died and I was surviving only with my 4k TV, still feel it's not a improvement over gaming on the TV (visuals and overwhelming by size), but Gsync works on the LG, can't say the same on the tv. It's my first IPS, I would prefer a 32'' inch for gaming but at this price I couldn't wait more. It feels some games achieve better performance in 1440p on the monitor than on the TV (more fps).
Can you review the Koorui GN10 and KTC M27T20 monitors? Both are 27in, 2560x1440, HDR 1,000, Mini LED VA monitors under $300. This puts them in direct competition with the AOC Q27G3XMN for entry-level HDR gaming.
Waiting for more miniled options is killing me. I want to use HDR so badly but I cannot justify buying an OLED while burn in is still a risk. I keep my monitors 5+ years minimum, and usually just give them to others after that, so I simply cannot trust an OLED to last that long without SOME form of damage.
Burn in is a non factor pretty much. Change a few habits and you'll be good. Most companies give 3 year warranty.. if you're that bothered, burn it close to the 3 year point and get a replacement
I just started to search for a good 1080p 144hz monitor. Im right on time with this one! Only thing is, Im from the EU and evrything is like 10-20% more expensive
Just bought a hp omen transcend 32 oled monitor, when are you going to be reviewing this monitor? Bought because of the specs on it and on sale at Best Buy for $999 right now. There is LIMITED info on this thing all over the internet. Just curious if you’ll ever get around to reviewing it and giving your thoughts on it.
Please dude, make a review of the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A, basically no one is talking about it even though it's an IPS panel with 240-260hz refresh rate and it's VERY budget friendly.
hey love your guys' content on here and HUB. not sure if you've answered this question before but why do you not examine cheaper off-brand monitors? these are usually, or sometimes exclusively, on amazon. I just did a build for my mom and I found her a 4k 27' 70hz ips for $190 and a 1440p 100hz ips for $110 (from "sceptre" and "ktc" lol). calibration, response times etc. were ok for price point. i thought that they're often working with the same panels, or is it the case that these monitors are unreliable trash not worth considering?
Where would you say the sweet spot is where you get the most quality for your money? I'm thinking it might be just when you enter the cheapest OLED panel territory, but before they turn too premium.
Would you be willing to look into what sort of 16:10 // 3:4 options are available on the market today? More of a productivity and/or secondary monitor focus than gaming.
For those in the UK, you can currently get the samsung odyssey G8 34 inch ultrawide for cheaper than the alienware DWF if you get it direct from the samsung shop. So long as you dont fall foul to samsung's alleged QC issues its the more premium monitor and has more features including being a smart TV.
The Asus Rog XG27AQDMG is on sale at Microcenter right now for $550 WITH a free asus mechanical keyboard that’s worth $99 brand new retail. Sweet deal if you’re lucky enough to have a Microcenter nearby . Picking mine up today !
I need advice on a monitor for a very niche situation. I play on my PC from across the room in a medical bed...so I need a larger display. I'd say what I'm looking for is 48-50", 4k, HDR, with probably somewhere around 120-144hz.
Please review the successor to the Dell G2724D, the G2725D. I want to know if it's a downgrade to the G2724D even though it's supposed to be the newer version of that. It's also cheaper it looks like, at least when on sale.

Dell 27 is on sale for 150 in US. Directly from the dell online store
YESSS I'VE BEEN WAITING THIS VIDEO FOR MONTHS
The Dell G2724D is currently (November 19, 2024) on sale for $149.99 on dell's website. 27" 1440p 165hz measured by rtings to have acceptable contrast, backlight bleed, and good color accuracy. Usually $200. Hopefully, the sale goes to the end of the week.
Do you do review of best productivity monitors to do in duel setup and maybe only game here and there?
Dell G2724D selling at $150 on Dell US website during November 2024. Can't beat that price in my opinion.
I really thought there would be more ultrawides on this list.
You say for 350$ you would get a side-grade with MSI G274QPX if you want a higher refresh rate, or another monitor if you want hdr. But which other monitor is that?
As always.. another gr8 content.. tnx
Greeeeeetings from Tripoli, Libya 😅
i'm using the Skyworth H24G30F rn that i got for $94, 24" FHD 180hz with good color tuning and decent aftersales (atleast in Indonesia). i've been using this monitor for the past month and i'm loving it (switched from a crappy 60hz laptop display)
Can we get a ultrawides updated video? There is very little recommendations out there for people who don't want to go OLED due to burn in risk when using it for mostly productivity reasons.
youp, I'm getting the Agon one for Black Friday! it's down to 500€ rn and I've been craving an OLED for over a year now :D
Thanks for doing all the work
I wish monitor names were more accurate, when I search for these on amazon there are like 3 different model coming up with 1 latter difference
Hi
I really like your video as always and happy to see unbiased opinion
thanks for the video
Can you make monitor buying recommendations for content creator please it would help a lot
😎
Would like to see a similar video focused on 1440p ultrawides!
Thanks for the amazing video!
Do you plan to review the: AOC Agon AG276QZD2
It seems to be an "updated" version of the first model
Also slight error at 11:14 you are highlighting the wrong Dell
Could you test the Pixio monitors?
I just got the g6 360hz for $580 with a free 990 pro 1tb! The receipt has the monitor under 500 which I think is a steal!
I picked up the GS27QA yesterday. IPS panel, 180Hz, Quad HD-I’m hoping it’s good. Couldn’t find any reviews on it, though.
It feels some games achieve better performance in 1440p on the monitor than on the TV (more fps).
amzing video , my favourite channel for monitors
With the rise of new gaming tv's for lower costs, have you considered reviewing a few?
Can you review the Koorui GN10 and KTC M27T20 monitors? Both are 27in, 2560x1440, HDR 1,000, Mini LED VA monitors under $300. This puts them in direct competition with the AOC Q27G3XMN for entry-level HDR gaming.
Waiting for more miniled options is killing me. I want to use HDR so badly but I cannot justify buying an OLED while burn in is still a risk. I keep my monitors 5+ years minimum, and usually just give them to others after that, so I simply cannot trust an OLED to last that long without SOME form of damage.
I'm in exactly the same boat. Looking for a 1440p or 4k mini-led monitor for true HDR. I don't want an OLED due to burn in too
I've been reading these miniled daydreaming comments for like 5 years at this point. Apparently theyre perpetually just around the corner
Burn in is a non factor pretty much. Change a few habits and you'll be good. Most companies give 3 year warranty.. if you're that bothered, burn it close to the 3 year point and get a replacement
@@KcKeeganwhat habbits, i have 3 monitors and i am not using the 3 all the time and i won't be turning them on and off every time.
@@KcKeegandudes saying he wants 5+ years... A 3 year warranty is well less than 5 years.
I just started to search for a good 1080p 144hz monitor. Im right on time with this one! Only thing is, Im from the EU and evrything is like 10-20% more expensive
no mention of the PG27AQDP?
Just bought a hp omen transcend 32 oled monitor, when are you going to be reviewing this monitor? Bought because of the specs on it and on sale at Best Buy for $999 right now. There is LIMITED info on this thing all over the internet. Just curious if you’ll ever get around to reviewing it and giving your thoughts on it.
Please dude, make a review of the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQML1A, basically no one is talking about it even though it's an IPS panel with 240-260hz refresh rate and it's VERY budget friendly.
just bought the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG for $550 on black friday sale, 1 day before I saw it recommended here at $700! very nice
Once again reminded the Q27G3XMN isn't sold in my region. rip. :(
Maybe there is the acer nitro xv5 xv275up3biiprx which is pretty much the same
Monitor is full of issues, better avoid it if you dont like black smearing and awful ghosting. Reviewers usually dont showcase how flawed it is
@@GoldSorcery do you have any alternatives for a good mini-led VA screen then? Koorui Gn10 or odyssey?
you're not missing out on anything
The monitor isn't even all that.
So what about the purple hue on the ucdm
hey love your guys' content on here and HUB. not sure if you've answered this question before but why do you not examine cheaper off-brand monitors? these are usually, or sometimes exclusively, on amazon.
Sometimes you can get refurb G80 32inch for like £750 too.
How about 21:9 Mini LEDs?
Asked this before but i would love to see you test the samsung 57CG952, its an absolute unit and would love to see how well it performs lol
LG B4 48" 120Hz OLED ($650)
No mention of the MPG 341CQPX QD-OLED? 🤔 Costs too much?
Would be awesome to have a 'best by size' 32 inch is too big for a lot of people.
We need a video on the xiaomi g pro 27i!
Out of curiosity why wouldn't you recommend the super-ultrawide monitors such as the G9?
Please review the successor to the Dell G2724D, the G2725D. I want to know if it's a downgrade to the G2724D even though it's supposed to be the newer version of that. It's also cheaper it looks like, at least when on sale.
Can u arm mount the first monitor?
can u plz do a video for the best monitors for ps5 ive been really struggling the past weeks for some reason to find an ideal one
Depends on your definition of ideal
Well all ive been looking for was a 27 inch 1440p 120hz monitor with nice colors and hdmi 2.1 ive seen alot of good monitors but they lack the hdmi 2.1 thats the main reason why ive been struggling @kennyoffhenny
ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG vs MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED 26.5" QD-OLED WQHD same price what to choice ?
What happened to the Samsung G8? It's as low as 700€ here in germany. I'm almost certain I'll buy it this week
I was hoping for some cheap ones a bit bigger
You can’t expect to have big monitors for a low price.
Is there an ultra widescreen version of this video?
This for ultrawides please
Which ones gave built in speakers?
Can you please Test the Xiaomi g pro 27i? It is Mini LED with 1000+ dimming zones and ips for 300 Euros. There are not manny reviews on it
can you review the xiaomi mini led pls
