Has anyone noticed the insane amount of love Kid Icarus: Uprising has gotten? Pit's new moves, 2 assist trophies (Magnus and Phosphora), at least two items (ogre club and x-bomb), all of Palutena's moves, and a different stage on each version all inspired by KI: U. I don't have a problem with it though, it's just kinda odd because the game is really recent.
Nintendo won E3 by far! It's because of their AMAZING games like captain toad and splatoon, but smash bros tops the charts. I will definitely buy this when it comes out and I mean the DAY it comes out.
I'm still waiting for Chrom to be announced, unless they are keeping the hidden unlockable characters unannounced for players to be surprised. Except they already announced Lady Palitenia and i was for sure she would be a hidden character.

My opinion there is nothing stopping them from adding more and more characters (other than pushing back the release date again lol) But come on, Fire Emblem Awakening is brand new and was a great hit both in Japan and America, they have always introduced new characters when newer games come out before Super Smash Brothers.

I really hope Mewtwo and Mr. Game and Watch return they are awesome especially Mewtwo and I know that Lucario is in the game but I still have hopes for Mewtwo.
It doesn't matter if its a 3ds xl in the pic , at the end of the day it's the same hardware, they can choose to makie it specifically for the 3ds xl. Same with the original gba and the gba sp and the original ds and ds lite.
The same hardware, but not the same "SCREEN SIZE". Watch a 4vs match, compare with a 2/3ds screen and tell me that isn't too small to play correctly. On 3ds XL it's limit, so on a half size screen (2/3ds) it's very limit.

Not trying to sound like a jerk, but just because you have a Wii U, doesn't mean you should shun those who don't. It's perfect for those with only a 3DS. Or at least for people who won't be playing on the same screen with their siblings.

I get where you're coming from, but I can guarantee that there will be a considerable amount of people that will prefer the 3DS version solely for it's portability. And that's not even considering the affordability. Though, I still can see 1 in every 5 getting the Wii U version just so they can have little Smash Bros parties every so often, but the 3DS is still favorable in the aforementioned aspect.
That doesn't change the fact that releasing this version first is probably a mistake. I understand they want the game out in wild and the one that's closest to completion is the 3DS one but personally i think they should be released at the same time or the 3DS AFTER the Wii U version given Nintendo's current problems they just can't afford to have peoples opinions tainted by the lesser version. This is supposed to drive Wii U sales... I know it's such a minor thing, but... It's one of those little features that I look forward to in a new Smash. And to just recycle them from Brawl comes off as VERY lazy to me. The post-fanfare remix of the Smash 64 menu is awesome, though.

The character selection screen looks sooo tight (thats what she said). But honestly, it really does look tight and squished... and those aren't even every character... I don't know how they'll fit everyone in. The 3ds version looks so meh to be honest. The wii U is looking superior. They should've released it only on wii U and focus on just that. None of this 3ds tiny tight squished cheap version.
I wish they would have changed more of the Final Smashes. Maybe it's just me but they seem a little stale since they're pretty much all the same as before.

Well, we'll both see once they release. But in the end, it shouldn't be assumed that the 3DS will the be endpoint for most people.
