- Set within Rother Valley Country Park, this exceptional caravan and camping park comes highly recommended by us. Excellent modern facilities, on site licensed coffee shop and dog walking paradise. The country park has lakes, trails, cycle tracks, a miniature railway and visitor centre.

Lovley video, the last time I walked that Coocko way was 2016. Adam and I did 40 miles in an extend day, I must say it had a lot less mud back then. Look after yourself you 2 and keep on caravaning.

Brilliant film yet again ❤ we stayed there May 8th to May 12th beautiful. You have done a great job reporting on this site and after we left here we went to chatsworth house site which you did a wonderful review on . Hi , probably my favourite site. We stayed there (on the pitch next to yours next to the gate) on the way back from Dorset to the NE during that heatwave of 2022 and loved it so much we've been back another twice since. Found it to be a great place to stay for the stately homes , museums, prehistoric caves etc. As you say the facilities are great and the reception has a fantastic cup of coffee that would put the big names to shame. The Fish and Chip van also turns up on site once a week. Thanks for the tips especially re the dishwasher tablets. Great and informative video , well presented and look forward to your next one!
Hi there M, Being three miles from the M1, I imagine this site is popular for a stop over / short break. We loved it there and couldn’t fault it. Subscribers Tracy & Alan have stayed there many times and we wouldn’t hesitate to return, so this goes to show how fab the site is 👍.

That looks like a lovely site and good value for fully serviced. Weve just booked three nights on a CAMC site and its cost over £120 and thats electric only!
Hello Carol & Stephen, We were most impressed with this site and with the price too 👍. Our next trip is with the caravan club and we’re paying £35.78 per night fully serviced. Great review Rob. Been there 3 times after Andrew and Karens videos as have relatives in the area. Made good use of my bus pass to get into Sheffield. £13 for an Uber on the way back. Done a couple of vids myself. Enjoyed a pint in the bar. Yes met the security guy late at night. Thanks for sharing always useful information.

Hi there Pete & Su, It was a pleasure to film this lovely site and share with all. It’s certainly worth a stroll down to the country park and we would have gone on the miniature railway had it been.running. Good to hear your pipe work is still in good working order 😂 … Oh and our muddy boots get taken off outside, placed in bin bags and stored in the side locker until the end of the holiday.

This sounds an ideal site for you 👍 . Apparently it does get busy there at weekends. However, the contour of the site breaks it up and gives the appearance of a smaller site from wherever you are pitched 🙂
We don’t sit out much, last time was during the heat wave 🌞 at Sutton-on-Sea so probably wouldn’t go for a sun canopy.

Another really informative and enjoyable vlog. Please can you tell us how you sterilise your Truma Waterline Hose? We have this for our two berth and are looking for ways to ensure the line stays clean. Thank you 😊
Thank you for your compliment Victoria. I’ve never actually sterilised our hose. Because we go away regular, when setting up on site I flush it through thoroughly before connecting it to the caravan. I also flush it through at home if there is a longer period between holidays. I suppose you could try pouring some sterilising solution into the end of the hose, connect it to the tap and slowly flush it through. Thank you for watching and commenting. Rob we love your vlogs we are both newly retired and we are hopefully picking up our first caravan in a few weeks. I have a question: How do you plan your journey to avoid narrow unsuitable roads. Thanks Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for watching our videos 👍. I always plan our journey by checking Google maps / satellite map including street view. The street view gives a good idea of how wide the approach roads are to the site. I have a choice of three sat nav settings in my car: fastest, shortest and econ. I have it on econ. Econ chooses main roads, but I do compare the sat nav with Google maps to make sure I am happy with the route.
On occasions if I wasn’t happy with a particular road the sat nav chose, I would ignore the turning, forcing sat nav to recalculate and rejoin the route further along.
